  • Best VRBO ever; spectacular view from your comfortable & spotless apartment

"We are huge fans of VRBO and have booked dozens of times over the years; this was our favorite by far. This trip was my husband and I, along with our two teenagers (a boy and a girl) in August and we stayed seven nights. Upon arriving I breathed a sigh of relief that it was, in fact, as gorgeous as the photos suggested. We are outdoor people, and couldn’t believe our good fortune of the beautiful deck and large dock with diving board. The kayaks were fantastic and we wound up doing lots of small two person trips and then rented a double-kayak for a full day paddle. While there we saw lots of seals, birds all of sorts, beautiful red jellyfish, giant crabs, tons of fish, and a few deer. It was so stunning that I SET MY ALARM while on vacation in order to get up and watch the sun rise over the mountains because it was so spectacular. The apartment is small in square footage (maybe 1,000 sf), but packs a mighty punch. The layout is an open floor plan; this means there are NO WALLS between bedrooms and living spaces (only the water closet gets full privacy). There are sliding curtains and a genius layout, so it feels very private. The tiny kitchen is also very usable; with a full-size fridge and cooktop, and a compact dishwasher (no oven), but a large gas grill under the cover outside. The cookware and knives are more than sufficient for most endeavors. The linens were nice quality and the décor was in quite good taste. I think there was a TV… but have no idea why you’d ever turn it on. The floors were heated- which was blissful on the chilly mornings. We slept with the windows open every night- no bug bites. Don’t worry about this being part of private residence; we never heard a peep out of anyone and only saw the hosts when I emailed with a question and they popped down; they weren’t interested in inserting themselves into our trip. I cannot recommend this location highly enough! It was magical. In fact, we’ve already shared the link and encouraged our friends to head up, too. Here are my suggestions for even more magic for you! Foodies: consider bringing a good chef’s knife, sponge, paper towels, and seasonings Gamers: bring some games and cards, there are only a few Romantic folks: Um…no walls… act accordingly when booking with friends… Folks with bad knees: book wisely- there are many stairs taking you from the parking to the apartment"

  • Great vacation spot

"We stayed at this condo to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Ramona met us at the condo and told us about the area. The condo is beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location! We were able to walk to many places, and we especially enjoyed Granville Island. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely rent this condo, when we are in the area again."

  • Perfect for a small family

"We stayed at The Modage for a week while visiting Vancouver, we have two small kids and it was a perfect option for us. The home itself was gorgeously decorated but still very functional for the family and it was great to have access to all of the Kits amenities including the various playgrounds in the area. Highly recommended!"
