"Our family of four stayed for 2 weeks in this comfortable "home away from home". Everything we needed to relax after days of sightseeing. Were able to hop on a bus at several spots right outside or at the corner to head into DC. We did drive our own car a few times, but never had to worry about parking when we got back. We enjoyed the patio and even grilled out one night. Dan was easy to work with and helpful with any questions we had. The community was very nice, well kept, and friendly people. We would highly recommend this place."

"Wow. The Play Garden in early spring: there never was such a sweet place, clad in the fragrance and soft beauty of mid-April in the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Valley. It was cold when we arrived. No matter. We felt warm and loved. We watched as winter was shed a little more each day, and wild flowers bloomed and trees greened. There was much to do around the neighborhood, and we especially enjoyed several visits to Art at the Mill (Burwell-Morgan Mill in nearby Millwood). Old and new friends joined us during our ten-day stay, and they promptly fell in love with The Play Garden. Who can blame them? We will return."

"My husband and I visited with our two dogs. The owner Lee took great care to ensure we had everything we needed to be comfortable for our vacation even leaving coffee, fresh eggs, wine and chocolates for us.
The house is very clean and spacious with a really nice master bathroom. Towels, sheets etc. were all provided and of a high quality and spotless. There is also a large collection of DVDs, several large TVs, comfy chairs for reading and a hot tub where you can star gaze and relax your muscles after a hike. This is definitely the rental if you want to get away from it all and relax. Also if you like wildlife, this is the rental for you! So many butterflies, humming birds, deer, all kinds of birds, rabbits and the local cows. We stayed for a week so we went out nightly to different restaurants in the area. We enjoyed several excellent meals. There are also many wineries nearby if you are into wine.
For us, the highlight was that this rental is perfect for dogs as we have two medium sized dogs. There is a large tiled utility room for dog food and water and even a dog door. Our dogs usually don't settle well in new places but after 1 night at the cabin, they were happy and relaxed. It helps that there is a great (and challenging) hiking trail nearby and an alternative fire road which is a bit less steep to tire them out. But the dogs really enjoyed the large grassy yard and the freedom to safely run around.
I would definitely recommend this rental and plan to return myself later in fall."

"We spent there a very cold winter month. The apartment is so bright that the days we had to stay inside due to real bad weather, it was still very enjoyable. Originally from Newbury Park, California, we are used to warm weather, so having a Whole Food Market across the street was one of the assets we really appreciated. All other ammenities mentioned in the add were there, everything worked, and it was a great place to spend our time in the Washington area."
