  • Cute Retreat

"My husband and two teenage daughters recently enjoyed our stay in this home. Not only was it well appointed but it was extremely clean with a well stocked linen closet. Nothing was overlooked including the scented candle! It was within an easy 15 walk to the Metro. We also used a local cab company and they arrived both times within 10 minutes. Everything was modern, tasteful and it worked! I would much rather stay in a home like this than a hotel room. I also appreciated how quiet it was. If our travels bring us back around the Washington area I would book this home again!"

  • An absolutely amazing time

"We didn't get to meet Peyton but, Kenny made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. The cottage was beautiful, the people were friendly and the food was wonderful. I can't wait to go back! Clarke & Cindy"

  • Perfect setting

"This is exactly what we were hoping for and it even surpassed our expectations. The cabin has everything you need- grill, cooking utensils, etc. All we had to bring was the food. We had only two people and one dog, but there was an extra room with bunk beds so it would have fit a family just fine. Very dog friendly. Ours had a blast running around the property- which was the perfect amount of room for her to run around. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful- she recommended a few wineries and we were able to bring the dog and enjoy a great afternoon- all within about 3 miles of the cabin. No cell service or wifi but it was actually really great not to have those distractions. Deck in front is perfect- plenty of room, big table with an umbrella that provided a great amount of shade, hammock. Just a really great setting and only 1.5 hours from DC. Highly recommend!"

  • A Cozy Get Away

"We stayed as a couple for a couple days in the pond suite in the wintertime. One beautiful day to hike Old Rag and a rainy day to visit the wineries and local life. It's a really nice get away. Practically everything you need is there. The animals are all around, chickens, goats, horses and all, making it quite peaceful. Enjoyed the fireplaces and the wood supply. A couple finer points, like almost everything you need is there, but then some things aren't like, dish washing liquid or sugar, which we didn't think to bring. And the chickens lay eggs every day but you have to buy them if you want them. For the overall cost per night, it would just be nice to be able to say everything is there that you need and you can almost say that. But it's 99% there so it's not a deal breaker, just nice touches that would be appreciated. Also a lot of rules about leaving. Do this, do that, start a load of towels or sheets. We left it very clean and did all that, but felt like usually you only do all this when staying with friends, and friends don't really charge you do they. But this is all sounding too negative when overall, you get a wonderful setting, beautiful views and great attractions close by. We had a wonderful time and are maybe more critical than we should be. To each there own. We would stay there again for sure."
