"We stayed here with our toddler and with 2 other families. We have never rented a house that was so well-stocked. They've thought of everything one might need whether you have kids or not. The house itself is gorgeous, clean, and spacious. The river is RIGHT THERE, so you can hear it peacefully running during your stay. I would love to stay here again. In fact, we may be planning a yearly visit with our friends."Guest: Mindy & Chris Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 23, 2014View listing
"What a treasure! Nestled amongst a conifer forest on the river, this causally elegant cabin was perfect for our Methow adventures. After a day of memorable hiking on trails within minutes of this secluded abode, I loved arriving "home" to prepare a meal in a gourmet's kitchen.... while being warmed by the river rock fireplace nearby. Spacious yet cozy, the owners have paid attention to every detail: a sturdy and immaculately finished home, a well stocked library of books, games, and DVD's, impeccably clean spaces, extraordinary kitchen equipment, comfortable beds with beautiful coverings, fluffy towels, etc. etc etc. The location was perfect for our needs...so close to the Mazama Store for those extraordinary beverages and treats......and within minutes of the town of Wintrop where we enjoyed great meals and wonderful brews! I especially enjoyed awakening each morning to the sounds of birds nearby, watching the chipmunks scurry and play and listening to the sounds of the Methow River...So incredibly soothing... My friend from Maui and I look forward to returning again and again. Thank you Joan, for being so attentive to our every need and for making our visit so memorable."Guest: Fran and Michael Date of Stay: July 2012 Review Submitted: July 22, 2012View listing
"Really enjoyed our stay at River House. Our dog played in the slow moving, small off shoot of the river which is right in front of the cabin. We used the brand new grill and enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the view of the valley. Surrounded by undeveloped land - ver peaceful and beautiful."Guest: stacey Date of Stay: June 2013 Review Submitted: June 30, 2013View listing
"We stayed in this cabin in August/Sept. 2010. This was our favorite cabin while we were in Washington. We hiked in mt. Rainer area, northern cascades, and Olympic. We watched the deer every night from the den area. Everything was clean and comfortable and just as it looks in the photos. The gas station in mazama had excellent deli food and pastries. This is a very secluded, peaceful area and that is exactly what we wanted."Guest: 2travel Date of Stay: August 2010 Review Submitted: July 22, 2011View listing
