"We came to the island for a multi-generational family getaway and it was perfection. First off, Harvey is fantastic. From our first contact he was always very prompt and incredibly helpful. From offering all kinds of information about the house and places to go to throwing out ideas for meals, travel tips, everything. Throughout our stay he responded quickly if we had questions that needed answering or feedback to offer. He was a real gem. And then there was the house! We were so excited when we found it on line but the pictures cannot even do it justice. The setting is spectacular. We are a 5 minute drive from town, easy bike ride for our 10 & 12 year old - younger ones can do it too, traffic is light. Quick and easy to get to any part of the island or you can just stay home. The beach that is a 3 minute way from the house is calm and beautiful - it was never crowded. There is a pretty walk or bike ride to a conservation area at the end of the spit. You won't be disappointed! A note on size - we had 3 families (10 people) and the house was not crowded in the slightest - plenty of space to sprawl, relax, play."

"We rented this cabin for 4 nights, as an extended-family get-away - 7 people in total. The house is lovely, clean, and very thoughtfully arranged for family stays: the kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked with cooking gear, there were tons of games for the kids, and the outside yard was a great place to throw a frisbee around or whatever. The deck was gorgeous, and there were plenty of comfortable deck chairs; we had a wonderful time star-gazing in the evenings. Lopez Island makes for a leisurely vacation get-away, we went kayaking, and rented bicycles, and went on gorgeous hikes out to the beach at Shark Reef, Iceberg Point, and Spencer's Spit (which is very close by). The kids had a great time, and all of us parents found it to be very relaxing. We are very much looking forward to coming back again soon!"

"We stayed here for the first half of our amazing trip to Lopez. This end of the island is quiet even by Lopez standards because hardly anybody lives this far out. The property itself, as can be seen from the pictures, is amazing. We wanted to stay here for the whole week, but it was only available for the first half of the week. The owner then suggested we move to his other property on the other end of the island (which is also amazing...see my other review for it), but Nowak House is our favorite."

"Definitely a charming cabin on the south end of the island! Has everything you need for a nice getaway. There are several scenic bike rides right out the front door, but we missed them all due to some wet weather during our stay. Quiet and peaceful for us on a busy wedding weekend for my son. It would rate 5 stars, if not for the sulfur smell in the water (it's perfectly safe to drink, but we bought some jugs at the nearby store so our coffee would taste good). I hope to visit there again! Oh yes, it's only about 15 minutes from Fisherman Village and all those opportunities. Karleen was a gracious hostess!"
