"Mud Bay Cabin is an idyllic and tranquil vacation retreat; nestled in the pines on the southern part of Lopez Island. Karleen is the most generous and accommodating host. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. My boyfriend and I were visiting from Phoenix; celebrating his 50th birthday! We couldn't have been more happier with our vacation accommodations. The people of Lopez Island were truly very warm and friendly. We got to experience the 4th of July on the island; from the Fun Walk/Run, to the 4th of July Parade and barbeque. All of the parks are not to bee missed! Wonderful hiking trails and spectacular views...all a stone's throw from the Mud Cabin. Karleen gave us great insight on the areas to see...she even shared with us her personal experience of seeing Orcas off Iceberg Point the two nights before we left. We were able to retrace her steps the last night of our stay and we were witness to a doe and buck that crossed our path, as well as
20-30 Orcas swimming right off of Iceberg Point. It was a spectacular climax to our unforgettable stay on this wonderful island and vacation retreat at Mud Bay Cabin. I hope we are able to make it back here soon! Karleen, thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us."

"My friend and I spent a week at the Sunrise Cliff House. We were so tired when we first got there, and the first couple of days were so relaxing and rejuvenating. We had a bonfire and had s'mores one day. Once we were rested, our days were filled with activities - farmers market, shopping, hiking the many trails that Matt told us about. (We loved the trail along the cliffs above the ocean!) The locals are very friendly and waved as they passed us. We couldn't believe how much there was to do on a 29.5 square mile island! We had such a good time we are already planning a 10 night stay next year, so we will have time for inter-island travel."

"I've been vacationing on Lopez with family for the past 20+ years and our stay at the Channel House was far and away the best! The view and secluded beach can't be beat. The master bedroom suite and cozy living room below is an oasis when you want an escape from family. We enjoyed using the kayaks and playing badmitten in the huge yard. The 5 acres allowed plenty of room for our 3 Labradors to play and explore. The hot tub worked flawlessly and could hold 6 comfortably. Even when the weather turned, the collection of movies, games and WiFi kept us entertained for hours. The gas heat lamp on the porch and huge fire pit allowed us to relax for hours into the night. All the beds and furniture were very comfortable.
Hope we can stay here again next summer!"

"My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Wildwood cabin adjoining the Sea Spray Cottage for a week over the Christmas Holidays. We have stayed on Lopez for years as our favorite Seattle getaway, but this was our first time with this property.
When we arrived the house was warm and cozy and the view was magnificent. The kitchen was well appointed with all the items we needed for farm fresh meals each day. The bed were soft and inviting and we could see the stars under the skylights at night.
The beach was beautiful and our daughter enjoyed collecting little shiny rocks and driftwood. She also enjoyed exploring the gardens and playing on the large grassy lawn.
We met the owners midway through our vacation. Michelle was so helpful with the booking and even brought us homemade cookies upon her arrival.
We will definitely be back!"
