Blue Moon - a beach house that sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms

Blue Moon Beach House is situated on Blue Anchor Road, a favourite location with Bay regulars as it is close to the beach, tennis court, playground and village centre, but also very private.

Enter through the side door into the spacious open plan living area. To the right is the large kitchen with all the appliances you need. To the left is the dining space. And in front, is the large L shaped sofa and coffee table, log burner and TV/DVD.

From the living space, there are large bifold doors onto the deck, ideal for catching the afternoon and evening sun.

Down the hall, there are two bedrooms. Master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite wet room room, and second bedroom with twin 2ft 9 single beds (can be joined to make a large kingsize bed), plus a guest bed for the 5th guest (child only) if required. Ensuite with bath tub and rainfall shower over.

Lots of toys and games and home comforts for guests to enjoy. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Log burner and underfloor heating make Blue Moon cosy for breaks all year round. Ceiling fans in all rooms for the summer too.

Great stay at the Blue Moon

I’ve been to The Bay many times but this is the first time I’ve stayed in the Blue Moon and it was great! Spacious property, clean, great location and it had everything you needed to enjoy a great stay. Will definitely be booking to stay there again.

Excellent Stay

Arrived for a couple of nights stay and must say accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfy. The kids loved all the additional items like the board games and beach items. Location couldn't of been better right next to the park, swimming pool and shop.

Perfect holiday home

A beautiful house in the perfect location. The pool and pub are a few minutes walk,ideal for my 80 year old parents. We could sit on the decking with a cuppa and watch our little one play on the playground The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. We will definitely be booking again.

Another Happy Holiday

Great lodge for a family holiday

Thats is the second time we have stayed at the Filey bay but first time we have stayed at the blue moon, We where a group of three separate family's and we ended up paying a little more for a bigger lodge as we all wanted to be near the park and i am really glad we did. The lodge is a real home from home and you can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into it, the kitchen/living area are a great size and the beds are really comfy! I also loved the coffee machine. Would highly recommend if your stay at the bay

Return visit

Our 3rd stay at this gorgeous holiday home. It is so homely, well equipped and clean. There is everything you need so makes packing simple! You, your clothes and the basics food wise before a shop at the local Tesco the day after arrival. The Bay is beautiful so this lodge is well placed for much needed R&R. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us. We will be back.

Relaxing stay

A beautiful, comfortable home from home. Everything you need for a fab break. Lovely and clean property, close to amenities and to the beach path. Lovely little touches within property. We have stayed at The Bay three times and although the other properties were great, Blue Moon is our definite favourite ❤️ Thank you

Perfect

This is our 3rd time in Blue Moon. We love it, home from home for us and our dogs. Everything has been thought of, even down to a doggy bag with ball & treats. Its in a good quiet location, close to meadow, beach and facilities. We will definitely come back again.

Wonderful

What’s brilliant find. We had a wonderful stay here at blue moon so much so I booked the stay for next year on the first night. We had an issue with the drain but help from the manager and the bay were instantaneous. You couldn’t ask for any more. Wonderful place with attention to detail.

Excellent well appointed accommodation

We had a great family stay at Blue Moon. The house is fully equipped with literally everything you can imagine to make your stay comfortable. It has a great location near all the facilities and is a 10 min walk to the beach. We used the pool daily, it was clean and not too cold. The only negatives were the pub was a little expensive and most of the arcades were broken.

Blue Moon a lovely lodge

The lodge itself is the best we have stayed in. It was very clean, well equipped and in a good location at The Bay. You can’t fault the Lodge itself at all. The grounds weren’t as well kept as when we have previously visited but this is not a reflection on the Blue Moon. We would definitely return

Christmas 2023

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Moon. It was everything that it claimed to be in the booking description plus more. The Christmas decs made us feel welcome. Also want to say thank you for the lovely welcome gifts. It was just right for the Christmas break.

A little slice of paradise on the Yorkshire coast

This is by far the best UK holiday rental we've stayed in. This was our 2nd visit to The Bay and we love the site - clean, quiet, close to the beach, good pizza, things for the kids to do. Blue Moon is a wonderful property in a great location for everything on site. We loved sitting out on the front deck (when it was dry) and the BBQ is a big bonus (we used it quite a few nights). The house was clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated and really comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate in booking this or another property from Filey Bay Direct again.

Short Break at Filey Bay

Blue Moon is a lovely, bright, clean and welcoming beach house. It really has everything you need for a holiday & more. The open kitchen/living area was great & lots of space for our dog. Bathrooms were clean and fresh, as were the bathrooms. Ideal for families with kids of all ages. We had teenagers wuth us but it would be ideal for young kids too. There is a small play park just at the back of the property. We enjoyed the pool & tennis courts; although the tennis courts are not great.

When can we come again??!!

We have stayed at The Bay many times but this accommodation is outstanding. Everything you could possibly require is provided…..even super duper hair straighteners….where would the girls be without!!!? Location, too, is perfect -near beach path, playground, shop and pub. We will be coming again definitely……Filey Bay Direct offer accommodation for groups of all sizes - would not hesitate to recommend them. Thanks once again, Nana and the gang! X

Lovely Autumn break

Lovely retreat, a few minutes stroll from the dog friendly beach. Lots of like-minded dog lovers around, and the vast majority do poop-scoop. Lodge was well equipped, very warm and inviting, tasteful modern decor. Been to the Bay a couple of times before, this was the best accommodation. Pizza place rarely open, pub sparsely populated because poor value for money. We sat out the front of the lodge which is South facing and enjoyed a glass of wine there instead. It was really lovely.

Comfortable Stay

Overall a great weekend, the sun was shining and we left relaxed ! To be honest it is could have done with a slightly better clean ! The glass top of the coffee table had not been cleaned, cup rings stains still on Toy trains left under coffee table Some cushions on sofa were marked and dirty The sofa could of done with a hoover as dog hairs still on and lots of bits under the seat cushions The main bathroom under the cold water tap handle had not been cleaned, still toothpaste on and behind the taps was what looked like half of a shell ! No bin liner in the bin

Fantastic cottage in great location.

We've stayed in lots of properties at the Bay Filey over the years and this has to be one of our favourites. The extra large kitchen diner is so spacious and bright and the bedrooms also large and comfortable. Lots of lovely personal touches make a big difference. The only things that could improve the cottage IMO would be a normal shower head in addition to the rainfall showers as it is quite difficult to rinse just using the rainfall. Also, a small airfryer would be really handy and save having to fire up the oven.

Blue Moon is one of the best (possibly THE best) Tahiti beach houses at The Bay. Beautifully furnished, and so many extra little touches to make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. That's why our guests keep coming back again and again!

What makes this property unique

So close to all the amenities but still private and quiet. The tennis court is a few doors down, the playground behind, the pub and pool under 1 min walk too. Set back from the no-through road for added privacy. Decks to front and rear so you can enjoy your morning coffee and afternoon tea outside!
