We spent 5 nights in this charming Tuscan farmhouse. The previous reviewers raved about the views from the Tuscan farmland windows. They did not lie. Magnificent views from every window!!!
We spent most of our days visiting may of the small Tuscan hilltop towns. This was a great base and easy to travel back and forth from each little town. We visited Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa, Cortona and Orvieto and many others by car. The train station is a short 35-40 minute drive from the farmhouse where we caught a train to Florence for a day trip. Piccolo is the small little hilltop town about a 10 minute drive away, it was exceptional too! No tourist, a wonderful small restaurant, a beautiful church and a small museum are located in this small village. Terricciola is close by as well. This is where we did our shopping for cooking supplies and visited the local butcher and baker.
Alfredo was very easygoing and very friendly. He offered up suggestions for nearby day trips and helpful advise on traveling the area. He was on site most mornings working on the property, keeping the lawn manicured and the pool clean.
Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this little gem! One of the best vacation spots we have visited. We are avid travelers having visited Spain, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Croatia, and Belgium to name a few. This was one of the best trips ever. A big part of the success was due to finding and renting this quaint farmhouse in such beautiful surroundings! Loved everything about it.
Thank you Alfredo for sharing your Borgo Fajani with the world!
