About this property
Country house surrounded by olive trees, a few km from Ostuni and the sea
House of about 70 square meters, consisting of 2 main parts, an ancient trullo connected to a modern building, with three rooms and 4 beds total.
In the trullo there is a large double bedroom and in the smaller cone the kitchen. From the kitchen is accessed via a corridor to the bathroom with shower, to the living room that overlooks a veranda and the second bedroom with 2 single and / or double beds.
Internal equipment: kitchen, fridge, TV, windows with mosquito nets.
Outdoor equipment: wood-burning barbecue, square, veranda, cistern with autoclave, uncovered parking.
La Casedda is surrounded by a large olive grove and orchard.
Ostuni, city of art, is one of the most beautiful places in Puglia.
It is located on the last slopes of the Murge overlooking the Adriatic, allowing a holiday that combines relaxation, nature, art, quality gastronomy, ancient traditions.
Called the White City for the whiteness of the houses of the old town, due to the lime that has been used for centuries to whitewash the walls, Ostuni is recommended to spend a quiet holiday thanks to its mild climate and the great variety of leisures it offers.
Art and history - Ostuni is a whole monument that contains many others inside: its beautiful Romanesque Cathedral, the ancient walls with towers, the square and the streets of the charming old town, the obelisk of Sant'Oronzo , the beautiful Spanish portals. Signs that recall the history of Ostuni, marked by invasions and dominations that took place over the centuries.
Prehistoric origins are the famous 'woman of Ostuni', one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the twentieth century, the body of a mother with a fetus dating back to the Pleistocene, and the Archaeological Park of Santa Maria di Agnano.
Nature - Ostuni since 2008 has received the Blue Flag and the Five Sails of Legambiente for cleaning the waters of its coast and for the quality of services offered. The Ostuni coast allows you to choose between long beaches of fine sand, cliffs, private coves, free and equipped beaches.
The house is located 10 km from the Regional Natural Park of the Coastal Dunes, which stretches along 6 km of coastline and enters the plain of ancient olive trees. In the protected area there are numerous habitats, the rare juniper vegetation (with some monumental specimens of 500-600 years), retrodunal ponds that host numerous migratory birds.
Along the whole park runs the ancient "Via Traiana" equipped as a cycle path with signage, parking areas and information points for cyclists, which is part of the Adriatica cycle route, one of the long distance routes of the Bicitalia national cycling network that Venice runs along the entire Adriatic coast until reaching the head of Santa Maria di Leuca.
Traditions - The Cavalcata di sant'Oronzo, the most important of the traditions of Ostuni, takes place on the 25th, 26th and 27th of August in honor of the patron saint. Famous is the 'Cavalcata' in costume that takes place in honor of the Saint.
