Overview

About the property

This newly remodeled Chico porch house lies on the historic Humboldt Wagon Road. The interior features a light and airy atmosphere with original hardwoods and new amenities throughout. The property backs up to Little Chico Creek with greenbelt on one side and friendly neighbors on the other. Only seven blocks to Bidwell park!

My father and I completely remodeled this space in the Fall/Winter of 2016. Everything in the house is brand new except for the old hardwood floors which were refinished. The creekside location, classic porch and convenient location all make this the perfect pad for your trip to Chico!

About Rogers

My father and I have always loved Chico. Warm summer nights, the magnificent shade trees, the swimming pool in Bidwell Park, and the Sierra Nevada Brewery are just a few of the things that add to the friendly small town atmosphere with a college town vibe.

Rogers purchased this house in 2016

Why Rogers chose Chico

This property was in some serious need of TLC when we bought it. It was completely renovated in the Fall & Winter of 2016. We are excited to share it with you!

What makes this house unique

The proximity to downtown, Bidwell Park and surrounding greenbelt make this a cool spot to explore and get around Chico. Enjoy some R&R out on the front porch or in the spacious back yard that backs up to Little Chico Creek.

Cute house in convenient location

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I came to Chico to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we rented this home. It is immaculate and nicely remodeled. We brought our dog who loved hanging out on the front porch with us watching our favorite college town go from day to night. We were able to walk downtown and check out some of the newer restaurants and hot spots. Bidwell Park is also within walking distance. The house could use a bit more seating in the living room/dining room area--the couch is small and if more than 2 people stayed it would be a tight fit. Also the backyard outdoor furniture was pretty dusty (though the furniture on the front porch was clean). Overall a great spot for the price.

Great renovated home.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully renovated Chico home. The decor and updates were great, location was central and close to downtown. The yard was great and we loved being able to walk a few blocks to the park! We will definately be back.

Nice rental unit

  • 4 of 5

Very clean house and nicely remodeled. Only suggestions would be to add a gas grill in the back yard (existing grill is not useable), and extend exterior door for bathroom in hallway to enhance privacy.

So fresh and sweet

Very nice little two bedroom, two bath bungalow along creek. Nice bed and very undated bathroom. Would stay here again for sure.

Fresh & Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

Chico style: Casual, quaint and a little off the beaten path. We found this gem tucked near a creek, away from the late-night antics of the college crowd. It's a short 15 minute walk downtown for dinner/shopping/or a Tres Hombres grade margarita. Inside, it's super cute, complete with cozy beds, and a comfortable kitchen. The lounging area-- used by us for storytelling & reminiscing of our college days-- was perfect. LOVED the easy access code entry & the BIG pot coffee maker. We'll be back!

Great Outdoor Space -- The Inside Ain't Bad, Either

  • 5 of 5

The front porch is a perfect place for morning coffee. The backyard patio is a great place for an evening glass of wine. In between the two is a light and open space that has been tastefully updated. A great place for a relaxing weekend.
