Pretty great

We had 14 people, ages 7-70, stay at this house the first week of July 2023. The house owner did a great job being accommodating and helpful, there was plenty of space, the beach up the hill was incredible, and it has a delightful porch to hang relax and hang out at night. Some advice for those reading: you definitely want to rent cars if you're doing anything but beach stuff -- it's a 25 minute walk to the nearest subway/grocery store/etc. And do not sleep with the windows open -- there are no screens on the windows, and the mosquitos in this region are no joke.

A Basque Palace Awaits....

My family enjoy traveling to Europe a lot and have rented places everywhere, from Amsterdam to Lisbon to Dusseldorf and others. This experience was by far the best of the best! I don't typically write reviews, but the Azkorri Beach experience went way above my expectations that I'm compelled to write something. Start with the host, Alfredo! You frankly couldn't ask for a better host, and Alfredo is by far the best host I've ever had! Alfredo worked with us from the point of reservation all the way to arrival. But more than that! We came in on a weekend and there were very few choices for dinner. Alfredo worked with us, helped us buy food stuffs and snacks for dinner and breakfast the following morning! I tried to pay him back but he said no. That blew our minds! The Azkorri Beach House itself was just simply a charmer! Oh my God, I wish I had better words to describe this beautiful mansion! We had six children from three families, the oldest aged 10, and they had a blast because there was so much to do in the house itself! Our families all had more than enough rooms, bathrooms and more bathrooms and more bathrooms; it's just a sprawling palace well maintained and filled with loving care! Did I mention the fire places and the barbecue pit outside? Something else happened to me at the Azkorri: moka coffee! Sounds crazy, but it was my first time making coffee using the moka pot, and I ordered one for myself while still in Bilbao, and I've been making moka ever since! I could go on and on about our experience at the Azkorri Beach House, and honestly, I didn't want to leave this house, and I know if I'm ever in Bilbao again for a family vacation, this is the only place I'd stay! I speak for my siblings and their children as well because we all had such a great time rocking this house and having all our kids having fun at this beautiful palace! Don't forget, there's a beach a few minutes away, several other beaches around too, and so so many things to see and enjoy. The weird thing was that almost all of the things we enjoyed during our stay were within 25 minutes of the Azkorri Beach House! We really had such a great time and I'm sure many more people will say the same!

Awesome stay in La Galea near Bilbao

Alfredo was an incredible host. He was very responsive and gave as all we needed. The house is fully equipped and is 10 mins from the beach. We were 15 people and did fit very well. It has a great private parking spot and an enormous garden with a barbacue. Thanks in deed Alfredo!

Una experiencia magnífica

El mejor lugar para celebrar una gran fiesta en nuestra boda

La buena energía que transmite la casa hizo que las más de 100 personas en la celebración lo disfrutásemos de lo lindo. Los espacios, tanto dentro como fuera de la casa, ofrecen muchas posibilidades y permiten acoger comodamente a grupos grandes de personas haciendo distintas actividades. En nuestro caso montamos una carpa en el jardin para el catering y la barra, además de las mesas preparadas en el interior de la casa. Nos divertimos en la pista de baile del salón y hasta montamos un escenario para actuaciones en el jardín. La fiesta pudo continuar en el txoko hasta que el cuerpo aguantó y pudimos ir a dormir a las habitaciones o a las tiendas de campaña que montamos en una zona del jardín. Alfredo, el propietario, nos ayudó muchísimo dándonos ideas y facilitando todo al máximo. Su disponibilidad y simpatía son un punto muy importante a la hora de organizar un evento como este.

Genial!!!! Repetiremos

Esta Semana Santa hemos estado un grupo de amigos de 10 personas. La casa es más grande de lo que aparece en las fotos y con espacios comunes muy amplios para tantos. La ubicación es perfecta: en un entorno ideal para el descanso, bien comunicada y a 10 minutos andado de la playa. Sin duda repetiremos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y Alfredo siempre muy amable y dispuesto a resolvernos cualquier duda. Muchas gracias

Una casa familiar para sentirse muy a gusto

Hemos disfrutado de un fin de semana extraordinario por el entorno, el buen tiempo, los recuerdos, ... pero, sobre todo, por la casa y la amabilidad de Alfredo. Nos ha hecho sentir desde el primer momento como si estuviéramos alojados en la casa de la familia y nos ha facilitado la estancia por su confianza y cordialidad, propias de los amigos de siempre. La mejor elección

Escogimos esta casa con motivo de una celebración familiar (un 60 cumpleaños) y no pudimos acertar más. La ubicación de la casa, tan cercana a Bilbao, hizo que fuera muy fácil llegar para los que llegábamos desde el aeropuerto. La casa está muy bien equipada para un gran grupo (gran salón, comedor, barbacoa...) y además cuenta con piano, karaoke y sala de cine por si el tiempo no acompaña. También es muy recomendable por el emplazamiento donde se encuentra. Muy cercano a la playa de Azkorri, ideal para pasear. El trato del propietario es más que excelente. Se preocupó de todos los detalles (incluso de la cuna para el bebé), aportando su granito de arena a que la celebración familiar fuera todo un éxito. Esperamos tener la ocasión de volver a repetir, la mejor elección!

La mejor casa en la que hemos estado

Sin lugar a dudas la mansión (pues no puedo llamar a la casa de otra manera) es la mejor casa en la que nunca hemos estado. Hemos pasado un fin de semana perfecto (11 personas, adultos y niños). Ha sido una suerte poder disfrutar de esta casa de lujo y además acompañados del mejor tiempo posible (si parecía verano!!!) En los dos días que hemos estado creo que no hemos sido capaces de recorrer todos los recovecos de esta impresionante casa. En el sótano tiene un pedazo salón inmenso que ni hemos utilizado. Siete habitaciones (con amplitud suficiente para al menos 14 personas), salón con un TV de al menos 50 pulgadas (o más, llegado un punto no se contarlas), otra salita con otra tele para que los niños no molesten, comedor con dos mesas grandes, cocina, jardín donde te puedes perder, txoco en el exterior para hacer la mejor barbacoa,... y hasta una sala de música con butacas de cine para los que sólo quieren mirar, con un karaoke para los que quieren participar y con un pedazo piano de semi-cola para los que saben tocar (obligatorio saber, fue la única condición que nos puso Alfredo) Muchas gracias Alfredo por todo, por el detalle que nos tenías preparado a la llegada, por dejar que nos fuéramos tranquilamente el domingo después de comer, sin prisas... creo que ha sido un fin de semana perfecto y la casa y el entorno han tenido mucho que ver. GRACIAS Sin lugar a dudas, VOLVEREMOS!!!
