We had a lovely few day in this lodge, the welcome wine and biscuits were appreciated.
We had a lovely few day in this lodge, the welcome wine and biscuits were appreciated.Lodge was very well equipped with everything we needed. There was a slight smell of urine in the main bathroom but that wouldn't put us off revisiting.Great walks from the lodge, our dog loved it.One of the cleanest we've stayed in, would highly recommend and hopefully will return in the future.

We have stayed at different lodges previously and the location is second to none in my opinion .
We have stayed at different lodges previously and the location is second to none in my opinion .The lodge itself was very clean and it didn’t take long for us to get settled in.Somethings let the lodge down in my opinion. The main bedroom en-suite only has a hand held shower and no curtain which means you can only sit down in the bath and spray the shower head as best you can.It also took us 2 days to realise the fan in the en-suite had been turned off outside in the bedroom. The threshold in the en-suite is loose as is the push for the toilet. Also the hangers in the wardrobe are very cheap and not for trousers or jackets .There were 3 lights out in the kitchen area and the tea and coffee was hidden in a cupboard which again we found near the end of our break. It feels as if the lodge could do with a bit of a refresh which is maybe going to happen during the quiet season coming up.All in all we had a nice break but wouldn’t book again because of the shower.Steve and Jill and Linda

A very clean and comfortable property & we felt very welcome as soon as we walked in. The treats left for us & our dog was a nice little surprise! Lovely walks around the well maintained site and onto the seafront, and plenty to explore in the nearby the coastal resorts.

Our weeks stay in Yorkshire Rose was lovely, we couldn't fault it all.
Our weeks stay in Yorkshire Rose was lovely, we couldn't fault it all. This is because the description is accurate so we knew what we were getting. There is the golf club bar / restaurant nearby but unable to comment on this as we didn't go this time. Inside the lodge was spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. Outside the lodge, we found some easy, pretty walks within Sewerby Park for us and the dogs. We would recommend this lodge to others who are looking for a peaceful break.
