Welcome to Jardin La Torre, a small, rural gated community in the mountains of Costa Rica. With 150 mile views of the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Nicoya, Jardin La Torre, is 45 minutes from the San Jose International Airport, an hour from downtown San Jose, an hour from the beach, and 12 minutes from San Ramon de Alajuela.
For more than 50 years, this small botanical garden now known as La Torre was a coffee plantation. In 2011, the property sold to the current owners who pledged to reforest the land in keeping with Costa Rica's ecological goals. Our temperate climate offers a tranquil country lifestyle with no need for air conditioning or heating, 365 days a year.
Costa Rica is known for scenic views, temperate climate, ecology, nature, coffee, wonderful people, lively music, and an easy pace of life. Jardin La Torre, San Ramon de Alajuela, Costa Rica takes advantage of the most pleasant aspects of Costa Rica. From the lower residential area, meandering, manicured paths lead through intimate vertical gardens offering a vista of western slope Cloud Forest vegetation and wildlife.
Built for active retirees and vacationers, Jardin La Torre features four rental houses, two efficiency apartments, modern gym, clubhouse, and an outdoor activities area for lawn darts, volleyball, and croquet. Immediately across the road, the owners have built a sports complex for the tenants, offering basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball. The sports complex also houses a recreation room with an upscale ping pong table and exercise equipment, and a lounge area.
We are an easy one-day access to almost all of the tourist attractions of Costa Rica like Manuel Antonio National Park, Jaco, La Paz Water Garden, San Jose, and both the Caribbean and Pacific beaches.
Jardin La Torre is a Garden of Eden offering a 200-foot ascent to the overlook and activities area along graveled, well-maintained paths that are not ADA accessible. Within a 15-minute drive is the city of San Ramon de Alajuela, which provides all entertainment and shopping needs.
On the western slope of the western mountain range in Costa Rica, from any of the houses, is a 150-mile view to the west and south, including the Jaco and Nicoya Peninsulas, the Gulf of Nicoya, Guanacaste, and the Pacific Ocean. Residents and visitors watch the cruise ships enter and leave the ports of Puntarenas and Caldera, and enjoy phenomenal sunsets!
