Fabulous get-away for a large group!
Conyboro House was a truly amazing location to welcome 2018. There was plenty of space for everyone and we very comfortably fitted 16 people for our stay. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and, despite being so large, was warm and welcoming. The adults loved sitting by the fire in the drawing room in the evenings and the kids loved roaming the house and grounds and have requested a return stay during the summer so that they can make use of the pool. Karen and Matt were both helpful and accommodating and we all truly enjoyed our stay.
My family and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful house.
We were blessed with a week of sunny weather where it only rained during the night !
My grandchildren loved the tennis and swimming pool, as did my sons, although they particularly enjoyed the snooker table.
We never actually used the magnificent dining room as there were only six of us and we enjoyed eating in the roomy kitchen alongside the beautiful Aga.
A lovely day out to Brighton capped a great week.
Most spectacular house I have stayed in
Conyboro is truly extraordinary - vast in scale, beautifully cared for and with every comfort and convenience one could want. My friends and I went to celebrate a special-occasion weekend and were blown away by every aspect. Swimming, tennis, croquet and a wide selection of living and dining rooms. There were 18 of us, which is the maximum, and the house felt like it accommodated us gladly and with room to spare. I feel sure that my first time at Conyboro will not end up being my last...
Great stay in a gorgeous location
Spent 3 nights here with friends and their children. The house is beautifully laid out and incredibly spacious. Unfortunately, due to the weather we didn't get to appreciate the beautiful grounds and we would love to come back in the Summer. Everything went well, and the only negative was that the house was a little cold and one of the dishwashers didn't work which made a little extra work for us at each mealtime, but nothing too problematic. We would definitely go back.
Magnificent Manor House in beautiful surroundings
The house is huge and beautifully kept, larger than expected and very clean. Think Downtown Abbey.... Plenty of space to spread out, the kitchen is enormous and fully equipped including 2 dishwashers!!! The outdoor space is just as impressive. Lovely pool and tennis court and miles of endless paths and empty roads for countryside walks. The house is walking distance to the Cooksbridge train station which we easily took into London for sightseeing day trips. There is so much to do near by from zip lining for the kids to walks on the downs to a quick trip into Brighton by the sea. There is even a traditional English Pub right at the end of the driveway with delicious fish and chips served along with locally brewed Harvey's beer. Glyndebourne is nearby for some of the best Opera in the world (we were lucky enough to get tickets). Our family of 6 (including 4 teenage kids) along with 80 year old grandparents had an outstanding stay. We loved the property, had plenty to do and see and cannot wait to return! I wish we had booked two weeks!!!
Left a bitter taste
Gorgeous property, but unfortunately the owner completely ripped us off and would not give us back a substantial sum of money because we had used one extra bedroom than we were meant to (just for storage and we were happy to pay for the extra cleaning costs). Best avoided.
The traveler was a repeat guest to whom we granted a special discount for an agreed level of accommodation. The agreement was breached by using an additional room. The traveler was charged an amount commensurate with the accommodation actually used. We are disappointed that the traveler, having attempted to use an extra room without paying for it, has complained about having to pay for his actual accommodation.
