About Jeannie Cawood
I am a Nana who loves her grandbabies. I have lived in the Jefferson City area for over 40 years and have seen this city change from a small rural area to a busy suburban city of Knoxville, TN. The Cherokee Lake and Holston River have remained beautiful contants.
Why Jeannie Cawood chose Jefferson City
It is my family property and I have taken special care of it and want to share it with other people who want to come see the area.
What makes this House unique

It is a very peaceful setting. Convenient to the lake access. Loved the house. It's clean, comfortable, and has plenty of room. I would stay here again. Owner is very easy to deal with. There's a dollar general just past the river and a gas station which made picking up forgotten items much easier than going back to town. Also a bait shop within eye sight of the house.
Nice family home
Perfect for a family
Great home and great homeowner!
Last minute stay for a volleyball camp being held at nearby Carson-Newman University for our daughter. We decided to stay closer to the school rather than make the drive daily for her camp. Jeanne (homeowner) was amazing to work with and even had ice and bottled water for us at the home! Super close to the lake which was an added bonus! Home was beautiful with lots of antiques and charm. Will definitely stay here again as our daughter plans on attending CNU and I’m sure there will be more weekend trips up to the area!
You can't see or hear any water from this place. It's just a house in the country
Tried to hold deposits because I didn't put sheets in a hamper I never saw. And food in the refrigerator. There was only one small trash can and no trash service. The house was full of antique furniture that was very brittle looking. I couldn't relax in this house. Paid for 4 adults but only 2 beds. She expected me to buy 2 air mattresses. But the dishonesty with the deposit was the topper.
Quick get away!
Our family enjoyed a quick get away from cold northwest Ohio to beautiful Jefferson City, Tennessee, for a couple days. Miss Jeannie was so prompt with accepting our last minute reservations and her home was so refreshingly quaint and sparkling clean! We were running later due to traffic and she called to check in on us ... made us feel so welcomed and cared for... thank you for your southern hospitality! We thoroughly enjoyed your home!
We stayed in this house for Christmas while visiting family and I was so happy that Jeannie took the time to not only decorate the inside of the house but the outside also, and we even had a small tree we were able to use for Christmas morning! This really made being away from our own home during the holiday much better. The house was comfortable and had a lot of room and everything we needed. We have a 16 month old and although there are a lot of antiques in the home it was still very suitable and we did not worry about her breaking or damaging anything which took a lot of worry away. Overall we described the house to our friends as staying somewhere comfortable like your grandmother's home.
Thank you so very much for the sweet word's about my home . It has been in my family since 1949 and is a very special and kind home that I can share with other's. Happy New Year to you and your Family ! Nana Jeannie
