Privat hus på vandet med storslået udsigt, et soveværelse, centralt beliggende, mindre end en time til Key WEST, gode skaldyrsrestauranter rundt. Huset ligger ved siden af Marina, perfekt til fiskeri og ved siden af delfinforskningscenteret, hvor mine gæster kan svømme med delfinerne og lære om dem. wifi, TV, vaskemaskine og tørretumbler, komplet køkkenudstyr, kaffemaskine, opvaskemaskine. Jeg leverer også kajak. KOM, BO, NYD !!

Amazing location

Perfect for a couple and our dog. Great location, central to everything in the keys. Lots of privacy and a wonderful porch that was cool and shady in the mornings and gave us beautiful sunsets in the evenings. We will probably stay here again, if we can.

Amazing 30th anniversary

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in grassy key. We very much enjoyed the house and property; fished, kayaked, relaxed in the hammock, and watched beautiful sunsets. Would recommend this property.

Great property

My husband and I have not been in the Keys, staying at your place on Marathon/grassy Key was an awesome experience! We loved the location, the house and the close proximity to Key West and a lot of other things to see! Hope to be back soon!!

Iguanas and Crabs and Birds oh my!

What a great place! Privacy, views, good central location! Clean! House had anything you may need. Some of the bedding had holes, its a bit dated but cant beat the view or location. We took the kayak out for a spin, didnt use bike but nice they are there.

Best Sunsets

We loved staying at the Pelican house in Grassy Key. Property is private, great yard. Beautiful views and sunsets. We are divers so the house was perfect for our gear. Loved using the kayak. Everything we needed in kitchen and plenty of linens.

Key get away

Had to make quick plans due to family situation. Place was available, affordable and private. Used the kayak everyday during high tide to get it out. Beautiful scenery. Small but had everything you needed. To make is perfect would be to have a dock to be able to get out into the water past the grass and muck.

Sunsets

The highlight of this property is the beautiful view of sunsets between gorgeous palm trees. The long private jungle driveway and the firepit were pleasant perks. The home had everything we needed and was clean and depicted accurately in the pictures. We did have to contact the property managers and were pleased with a timely response and quick resolution of the concern. The only item that we felt would have greatly improved the location was some type of small floating dock or fixed dock to launch our paddle boards without having to step through the deep sea grass. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful view and secluded property

We loved our stay here! The view from the property can't be beat. Yes there is sea grass along to property but a few days the wind changed and we were able to launch the kayak from the back yard, still had to walk through the grass a bit but not a big deal. The home is small but it is better than the photos. There is plenty of seating and a smart tv in the living room. We had everything we needed during our stay. We even bought some wood and had a bonfire for new years eve! The house its self could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived but nothing a quick sweep and finishing washing the towels couldn't fix. If you are looking for a great location, secluded place with a great view stay here.

Great Place! Nice property.

One of my big things is that a house be clean and fairly well equipped, this house was absolutely spotless and the kitchen was very well equipped (only exception was that it needs a set of wine glasses, there was only 1 and it was glued to my hand, lol!) There were plenty of towels, bedding, cleaning supplies and so on. The AC and additional fans kept the house lovely and cool, which was awesome as the temps were in the 90's the whole week. The only thing that could make this property even better, would be the addition of a pool to cool off in, the property is certainly large enough to put one in. We really enjoyed our week here and are so appreciative that our host takes great care of the property. Highly recommend this property!

Sunsets and star gazing!

Pelican House is a great place to relax and get away from it all. The house is comfortable, simple, and functional and met the needs of three adults. We were looking for a private location surrounded by nature and found it here. The pelicans gave us a show every day, flying back and forth in front of us. We enjoyed sunsets and star gazing every evening. The hammock is great! While we love to kayak we did not venture out here after sinking knee deep in the muck. Instead we rented kayaks at Curry Hammock State Park and paddled around the park and through an amazing mangrove tunnel. We swam at Curry Hammock, Pennekamp and Bahai Honda State Parks. Bahai Honda's Sandspur beach is absolutely gorgeous! Took a dive/snorkel trip with Cap'n Hook. While we had hoped for better water access we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pelican House.

Cute gem with a great view!

When I first booked several months ago, there were good reviews. Right before my trip I saw one that was concerning but when I arrived I realized that reviewer was flat out wrong about this property. House is great for a couple that wants to be close to everything but in a quiet area, Grassy Key. Close drive to Marathon for all the fun activities and the views out the front door are second to none. We often sat watching the sky with a drink and used the kayak daily. Yes, there is much getting out the first few feet but man up and simply walk through, it's fine and worth the kayaking and snorkeling you can enjoy from it. I'm a Home Away owner myself and this house had all you needed for your stay. I cooked my catch from our charter fishing as well. One of the bike tires was flat otherwise all was great!

Things we liked about this property…. Location Privacy Sunset views Full kitchen Plenty of towels/linens Things we did not like about this property…. No water access because of sea crust. We could not use the kayak because of this. There were ants in the kitchen. We wanted to use the outdoor grill but it was not clean. The A/C was on its last leg and very loud. Something was wrong with the TV, the volume would randomly get very loud and then very quiet. There was a small lizard inside the property. It would make random appearances in different rooms. Eek! And a lot outside. (I think this is normal for this area but not sure??) The floors were not clean. Toilet paper was not provided. There was a partial roll when we arrived. We had to buy more.

No Frills

This was truly a no frills house. Terrible smell from rotting sea grass all along edge of water and dock which left water unusable. and smell was in house too. Kitchen window very dirty and was hard to stand and look out window while doing dishes as it was disgusting. Ants and little bugs everywhere with ant traps all over the kitchen. I know this is common in the Keys but a professional exterminator would take care of this if it is done on a regular basis.. Kitchen and bathroom faucets full of grunge. Had to scrub them. Inside of cabinets everything was sticky which we assumed was from humidity. Sofa bed needs to be thrown out. Half of the springs were broken, mattress very stained and unusable due to being very very thin. Had to go out and buy blow up bed to put on top for son to sleep on. Location very nice. Could hear and see dolphins at research center. Pretty view except for garbage and dying sea grass along edges. AC in living room excessively loud and annoying. Would never stay here again.

Great location and sunsets

This house has a great location with easy access up and down the keys. Very private with great sunsets every night. House is old but clean. We called it a no frills property. House definitely could use some throw rugs. I noticed it did not have many in the pictures and actually brought some for my small dogs use. Loved the underneath space for storing our fishing kayaks and equipment during our stay. Yard looks like sand but is actually pea gravel so make sure you have shoes. Dogs were not happy with this. Really enjoyed the big firepit many nights during our stay.

Wonderful location

In our opinion, it is the best possible location on Keys, it is also very private. It is close to only decent beaches that we found: Curry Hammock State Park, Sombrero beach, Bahia Honda. Another place you can get in the water and see fish is Horseshoe “beach”. (John Pennekamp was disgusting, water was full of harmful bacteria, sand saturated with sand fleas, in 20 min we got so bitten, we run away. Key West was depressing: it looks like it was built in 1970es and never repaired or repainted: crowded, shabby, dirty. Both were an hour away and not worth the drive). Keys water is clean but murky and weedy, so the best part of the vacation was experiencing the unique Nature of the Keys: this property situated right next to the Dolphin Research Center, close by Aquarium Encounters, short drive from the Theater of the Sea (went there twice): amazing places with very talented people. For nature lovers: Crane Point Hammock on Marathon as bell as Fred C Manillo trail and Blue hole on the Big Pine Key will be very rewarding. The property is 7 miles from Publix supermarket. The property is clean and spacious, sunset views to remember, pelicans come to visit every day. I am crippled from childhood, so was afraid of the entrance staircase, but it has sturdy stone railings, the steps are not too high, so it is as good/easy as stairs can get. The walk-in shower is very convenient and the restroom is well designed. Furniture is comfortable, towels plentiful. The TV looks new and good (we never turned it on), Internet is fast. The closest restaurant (SS Wreck grill) is overpriced and not worth it. We enjoyed Island Fish Company (not cheap either, but fish is fresh, atmosphere fun and friendly, portions large). The restaurant that we loved: La Niña (local Cuban spot) - they do not speak much English, but they are weary welcoming and warm people, they actually have some cooking talent, huge portions, you must try their Papaya desert.

Little slice of paradise

Excellent property on the water at grassy key. Everything we needed was provided. Very quiet neighborhood. Great location to travel up or down the keys. Marina next door with groceries available. Fishing from the dock. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Ok at grassy key

The house is older but in good condition. Towels and linens were great. Kitchen essentials were lacking, definitely in need of some added pots and pans. Beware if traveling with children that might want to stay in and watch TV, the cable package is less than basic!. The outside grounds are done really well and the accent lighting is a beautiful touch. One thing that is misleading is the amount of water off the land and dock. Barely 1 1/2 feet of water as far out as maybe one hundred feet. Don't plan on getting a boat anywhere near the house. We had rented a boat for a couple of days hoping to keep it at the house, but ended up having to keep it at the rental marina and paying dockage fees. Overall pretty good, just disappointing mostly with the water situation.

Awesome house and location. Sunsets are perfect and probably better than Mallory Square because you don't have all the people.

Beautiful sunsets, generous space and privacy, responsive owners

We loved our stay at this property. The house is big for a one-bedroom, and extremely well-equipped and clean. The grounds are lovely as well. The owners were very responsive, and made sure that all went well. The sunsets were stunning. This was our first trip to the Keys. It was not easy to take a walk from the house because there was a busy highway, and it was hard to swim out from the house because it was so shallow. So each day, we drove someplace new to swim and walk. It was fine. On our last night night, just after sunset when there was still some light, we were able to watch a herd of manatees rolling around in the sea grass right in front of the house. Wonderful!
