Come create lasting memories of the Olympic Coast at Elk Creek Retreat. This 3-bed 2-bath single-level house is the perfect getaway for those looking to explore the Olympic Peninsula! We feature an ideal location just east of the City of Forks, close to beaches, with WiFi, washer and dryer, & three smart TVs! Our aim is to provide everything you’ll need to create a home away from home!
Spend your days discovering the natural beauty of the area before heading back to Elk Creek Retreat. With 1200 sq ft, you’ll have plenty of room to move about without losing that quaint, cozy atmosphere when its time to cuddle up on the couches next to the wood fireplace. House is on the backside of a family-friendly loop community. It sits on just under ⁄ acre and borders state forest (trees, trees and more trees!) and just a short walk away is an idyllic trail that borders Elk Creek.
Prepare family meals in the full kitchen or grill outside on the gas BBQ (propane tank level is not monitored so let us know if it is getting low) and sit down for dinner at the dining table with space for 6. The well-equipped kitchen features a full suite of appliances. A separate coffee bar area allows you to brew up a pot of drip coffee and warm up water in the electric kettle.
When it's time to turn in, you've got three bedrooms to choose from, two with king beds and one with a queen bed. Closets have shelving and hangers. The ensuite bathroom features a walk in shower and the hall bathroom is set up with a tub/shower combo. At the side entrance/mud room you will find a washing machine and dryer.
We try and stock the house with all the basics including linens, towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toilet paper, hair dryer, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, Ziplocs, garbage bags, Folgers coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, hot cocoa, and oatmeal. The house also has some games, children toys, and a pack n play.
You will be renting the whole house and yard. The garage will not be available, but there is plenty of parking in the driveway.
Limited cell phone coverage at the house, but wireless Internet is provided (turn on wifi calling). We are happy to have Starlink Satellite Internet with speeds up to 150 mbps.

This was a fantastic property. The house was spacious, clean and very well supplied. The mattresses were good quality and the temp control great. The host was very warm and communicative. We were 10 min from the beach and easily drove to many trails we wanted to visit.
Had an excellent time exploring all of Olympic National Park. The home is in the perfect location to make day trips to all the areas of interest. The house is very clean and super comfortable! Excellent communication from the owner. I would highly recommend this rental.
Great location close to Olympic National. Spacious and comfortable home with everything you will need for a relaxing stay. Beds are comfortable as well. Neighborhood was quiet and safe.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and spacious for our family. It was the perfect spot for our family that wanted to be centrally located to the West part of Olympic (Hoh rainforest and the beaches). Check in and out was super easy, the host was great at communicating.
This was a great central location to explore all along the coast and hiking spots. Ravae was a fantastic host and checked in on us during our stay. The house had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you Steve for taking the time to write a review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Being tucked away on the back of the loop and backed by state forest you do feel like you have a nice little quiet getaway without giving up being to far from town. If you make it back to Forks in the future we would love to have your family stay with us again!
The house was as described, very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with essential tools and ingredients. Tavares was extremely helpful throughout the booking process, answering questions and helping with tech issues. We would all be happy to stay again!
Property was centrally located for our vacation to Olympic National Park. House was very clean and had all essentials. Quiet neighborhood with forest in backyard.
Good home base for visiting Hoh Rainforest and Olympic National Park beaches. The owner was very responsive and helpful. It was a very functional space for our family.
Beautiful home with tasteful decor (especially the art!) This is the perfect base for exploring the rainforest. There was so much provided that wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy the fireplace, board games and soft beds a bit more
Great communication from owner, perfect jumping off point for ONP
Split our ONP trip between Port Angeles and Forks to make park access easier. We spent most of our time out adventuring but this place a great place make dinner and rest in the evenings. Comfortable beds, great communication from owner. She sent a comprehensive guide and answered any questions during our stay promptly. We were pleased with property and glad we had it for our trip!
The entire process was easy. The description was accurate and we loved the extra touches especially the shampoo and conditioner in bathroom because it is hard to carry on planes. The fresh eggs were appreciated.
This place was a great location for exploring ONP. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and stocked with all sorts of extras from spices and olive oil to curling irons and q-tips which is great when you are flying and can’t bring your pantry! Very clean and worked great for our two families to stay together. Would definitely stay afain.
Great house for our visit to Olympic National Park
This house had everything my family of four could need! There were 3 separate bedrooms which worked out perfectly for my husband and I with out 2 twenty-something children! The house was clean and had a great lay-out. There was a comfy living room and a nice kitchen table that could hold 6 people. We cooked the one night and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and spices we needed. The host responded quickly to my questions and gave me a few suggestions for restaurants for my vegan daughter! We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Olympic!

About the host
Hosted by Ravae O'Leary
We (Aaron, Ravae and Maeley) are lucky to get to enjoy Forks six-months out of the year and are excited to share our duplex in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula with you. When we are not in Forks we are traveling for our fishing guide business, Angler’s Obsession (to Klickitat, WA and Key Largo, FL). Besides his love for fishing, Aaron is also a pretty a good photographer and you will find his photographs throughout the house. Ravae loves to cook so the kitchen is equipped with all the necessities to make home cooked meals.
Why they chose this property
Forks is such a majestic place. We were drawn here by the fish (Wild Winter Steelhead) and fell in love with the area and community. Settling down was in our mindset when we purchased the home, but alas we have decided to continue traveling.
What makes this property unique
There is so much to see and do if you love the outdoors and our home is the perfect location for it all! Although it is only a few miles from town the property border DNR (public forest land) and is at the back of a loop community.
