An absolutely fantastic place! Spent a week here with a few families and we thoroughly enjoyed all the thoughtful details - from the well-appointed kitchen, spacious rooms/bathrooms, ample common spaces with smaller breakout areas for some privacy, and of course - the views. Depending on the time of day, you are always rewarded with a stunning landscape that never ceases to be awe-inspiring.The location is perfect - secluded, but not isolated - that is only a short 15-minute walk to the center of Chamonix via a beautiful foot path that borders the river flowing into town.On top of that, Jon is a wonderful host who is responsive to all your needs - he has connections throughout the area and will be happy to provide recommendations and/or put you in contact with others who can lead you on a range of activities. His love for the region is obvious, so don’t hesitate to pick his brain.In all - just a really special place that I cannot recommend enough. We all hope - no plan! - to return in the future.

Absolute stunning chalet right at the bottom of the slope. The views are spectacular and the amenities second to none. There was 3 hot tubs 2 outdoors one indoor and a outdoor sauna which perfect views of mountains. The rooms were 5 star. John law our host for our trip was very accommodating and great fun to be around. Can't wait to book my trip for next year and am very sad to be home

The most incredible accommodation I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Literally ski to the door, outdoor saunas indoor saunas outdoor hot tubs indoor hot tubs its ridiculous. Outstanding Vacation Chalet in Chamonix

This was one of the best vacations I have had in a very long time. The chalet is beautiful (even better than in the photos), comfortable and the perfect place to base yourself in Chamonix-Mt. Blanc! It's in an ideal location in the valley -- we could walk to town, to shopping, and to restaurants ... not to mention all the hiking/walking trails. It was all right outside the front door! And Jonathan made our welcome so smooth, it was terrific. Perfect start to a vacation. He also took the time to give us a wealth of incredible information about restaurants, events, and things to do in the valley ... thanks Jon!!! Finally, sitting on the deck, enjoying some wine and soaking in the view was sublime. The view from the chalet is exceptional, just astounding. The Ecolodge has the wow factor

Ecolodge had the wow factor. A beautiful modern design of a classic French home with huge windows that displayed a breath taking view. I loved the different types of wood mixed with white walls and neutral furniture and decor.l would love to build a home just like it in Australia. It felt like a luxurious place to stay in with all the modern conveniences. l loved the spacious, open plan large kitchen and lounge area of the house. The kitchen was large enough for every one to help prepare the dinner. Loved the Miele dish washer, stove top, washing machine and dryer; they were very fancy. l felt very spoilt with all of the bedrooms having an ensuite and beautiful shampoo and conditioner supplied. The beds were incredibly comfortable, more comfortable than my own bed in Australia. l woke up feeling well rested, looking forward to having a cup of coffee from the Jura coffee machine and having breakfast with a magnificent view of the French Alps from the wooden breakfast table. My favorite house in the world

I loved Ecolodge. There was gorgeous views from all corners of the house. It was even better than my dad said it would be! I would have loved to have stayed there forever. The house had lots of very modern and fancy gadgets in it such as push to open cupboards instead of having to pull it open, and the knock twice to open dishwasher... Also I think that every window has a awesome safety blind thing, so at night we didn't have to worry about anyone breaking in to steal stuff or hurt us. There were lots of entertainment stuff such as movies in both French and lots of movies in English. There were also a variety of differant games to stop me from getting bored when we weren't doing anything. Mikaela - age 13

Ecolodge Chamonix - Paradise in the Alps

I stayed at Ecolodge with my family. Wow, the most amazing place I've ever stayed in my life! The views were absolutely amazing; with sights of the whole valley and mountain ranges from every point in the house!! The chalet was so luxurious, every room had spectacular views and felt really homely yet so fancy at the same time! It was also extremely spacious, every room had so much space to chill out in; with beautifully presented king sized beds and luxurious ensuite's for almost every single room!! Also the living and dining area, was so nice to hang out with family in as it was so comfy and again the views were incredible!! As well as the kitchen that was so nicely presented that I actually felt compelled to help out with the cooking!! Altogether, this chalet was absolutely incredible, again the most amazing place I've ever stayed in! I would recommend it to any and everyone looking to stay in the beautiful French Alps!!! Perfect! Best time ever. Loved it!

We had the best time ever at Jon's place! The house is amazing. The view on the mountain is amazing. The outdoor is amazing. You get the idea!!!! And Jon is a very nice flexible person. Feel fortunate we got to meet him. He made our stay very easy and comfy. Just perfect:) We enjoyed every minute of it and felt sorry to leave after 10 days. I sooo recommend this house:)

Marmotte Eco Lodge

We have stayed with the Marmotte team on 2 previous occasions, so we already knew what to expect regarding the quality and expertise of their service. We had not stayed in the Eco lodge previously, so it was a new location in Chamonix for our family. The chalet is lovely, with high standard furnishings, facilities and spectacular mountain views. Just the place to relax and chill after a day in the mountain air. The chalet team are just terrific, they look after you from the moment you arrive. Nothing is a trouble to them. It is no easy task to cater for 6 adults and 4 children with their different food requirements, likes, dislikes, and allergies, they managed it with ease and a rare seal of approval from the kids. Having your meals prepared by a top quality chef is such a joy. The food- outstanding! The shuttle to and from the lifts makes a huge difference. They even managed to get the kids to ski school on time, which is a 1st for our family! The chalet is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Chamonix along a lit scenic river path. Chamonix has a large variety of shops, restaurants and bars, with plenty of attractions if you are not skiing. We would thoroughly recommend Eco lodge and the Marmotte team to provide a memorable Chamonix experience.

Marmotte Eco Lodge

Having stayed on 2 previous occasions with the Marmotte team, so we already knew the quality of their service and the expertise in ensuring that your stay would be memorable. We had not stayed at the Eco lodge on our previous visits, so the facilities were new to our family. The chalet is lovely, with high quality furnishings, facilities and spectacular mountain views. The chalet team are just terrific, they make sure that you are looked after from the moment you arrive. It is not easy to cater for a family of 6 adults and 4 children with all their different food preferences and allergies, however, they managed it with ease. Having your meals prepared by a top quality chef is an absolute joy. They also managed to get the kids to ski school on time. No mean feat for our family! The transport to the lifts and back is just fabulous. The location is an easy 15-20 minute walk along the lit scenic river path to the centre of Chamonix, which has a large choice of shops, restaurants and bars. Plenty to do if you are not skiing. We would thoroughly recommend Eco Lodge as well as Jonathan and the Marmotte team for an unforgettable holiday.

Unforgettable memories at the eco lodge

We’re a group of seven people and had a seven-night stay. Upon arrival, the panoramic view stunned us. When getting inside the chalet, kids got even more excited cuz there are four bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs for them to choose from. Chamonix is a place that offers tons of activities even in low season. Besides, it’s not too far from Geneva and Lausanne that makes day trips to the city very practical. One can easily get something that satisfies one’s needs during the stay. Everyone of us enjoyed every minute there. And there was one little thing that might be able to give you a clue what the service level was. We ran short of the sauna cleaning powder and dishwasher liquid on the third day. I emailed the host when going out and I saw them sitting next to the basin when we returned from an excursion. Thank you Jon!

Amazing chalet with breathtaking views!

We had the most amazing time staying at the beautiful Eco Lodge. As two families with young children it was just perfect. Spacious, sociable and stylish, it catered for all of our needs; from toys for the kids to the best coffee machine for the grownups, amongst many other flawless features. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and all of the bathrooms were lovely. Every detail was perfect, all finished to the highest spec and spotlessly clean. The panoramic views of the mountains gave an awesome backdrop to breakfast each morning, then in the evening they glowed in the sunset whilst we enjoyed the wonderful sauna and hot tub! The chalet is superbly located, close enough to Chamonix to pop to the shops, cafes and sledging area for the kids but also handy for various ski lifts. Jon and the team at Marmotte Mountain Adventure looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. The delicious and beautiful food, the lifts they provided and the various tips and advice for skiing (and sledging!)!meant we had an absolutely brilliant holiday, thank you! We would thoroughly recommend.

The eco lodge totally blew us away! stunning.

We have recently have recently returned from a short break at the eco lodge as a group of two young families. From the moment we arrived we were just totally blown away. The first thing you are met with is the epic 180 degree views of the valley, which is then swiftly flowed up by the amazing designer interior of the chalet. Everything in the chalet is finished to the highest spec, from the music/entertainment system, the brilliantly equipped kitchen and living space to the stunning bathrooms and dreamy beds! Everything was immaculately clean, the rooms spacious, just an absolute pleasure. The lodge is packed full of everything we needed as a family and more. Jon and the guys at marmotte mountain could not have gone any further in helping us have the break of a lifetime. giving us on point recommendations on where to ski everyday and making sure we all got to where we needed to go.... which any parent with small kids will know is no small task!! after our days skiing (or sledging for the little ones) we would have no doubt build up somewhat of an appetite, we needn't have worried the food was amazing. everyone totally catered for, again noting was too much effort for these guys. i cant recommend both the eco lodge and marmotte mountain enough! thanks for the epic trip!!

Top Tour!

In terms of ski trips we thought we’d done it all from self-catering to fully catered exclusive independent chalets. Marmottes Ski managed to provide something we had not yet encountered taking customer service to a new level. Nothing was too much trouble in terms of food and drink provided (asked beforehand what our preferences were so that everything was available as soon as we walked through the door) and the constant availability of drivers to take us to different parts of the resort at any time of day! This was enhanced by the quality of the accommodation and facilities of Eco Lodge. All our meals were freshly prepared by the in-house chef who took ski chalet cuisine to another level. The chef was constantly serving up tit-bits in between meals made up from things around the kitchen. The white chocolate truffles being just one! Fantastic. We will definitely be coming back!

Breathtaking view and a gorgeous chalet!

Nothing can prepare you for the amazing view from the chalet, it is breathtaking. The lovely chalet is beautifully maintained and there is attention to every detail which made our stay so comfortable. We had to be persuaded by Jon to leave the chalet ! Although we were early in the season we still managed some enjoyable days on the slopes in Chamonix. We also made a visit to Courmayer to ski and enjoyed a great spa. All of Jon's recommends were great and his communication was superb. I cannot recommend this chalet highly enough! Enjoy!!

Incredible stay at Eco Lodge

Wow...what can we say... Our week at Eco Lodge in Chamonix was truly exceptional. The location of the lodge is breathtaking with panoramic mountain views and just a short flat stroll into Chamonix. The lodge itself was fabulous. The accommodation was spacious, contemporary and very comfortable. The hot tub and sauna in the garden were such a treat after a day skiing! The accommodation was so well equipped and worked fabulously for our group of adults and children. The hospitality and food were truly 5 star. We were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. So much thought was put into the breakfast, afternoon tea and dinners, the food was delicious! The lifts to the mountain for a days skiing made life very easy, especially with young children and lots of ski equipment! We would whole heartedly recommend Eco Lodge for the standard of accommodation, location and unwaivering hospitality and hope to return in the future.

Luxury, designer eco retreat.

The Marmotte Mountain Eco Lodge was absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. The stylish Lodge includes every comfort and has plenty of room for a group of friends or family. It is located walking distance or a short drive from the centre of Chamonix. The view is incredible, especially when relaxing in the hot tub or sauna after a snow adventure. Touch of luxury in a magnificent setting

We stayed in the Eco Lodge for 10 days and loved pretty much everything about this place. It is superbly located - overlooking the valley and the peaks of the Mont Blanc massif, it's only a short, scenic stroll along the river to Chamonix centre. The large outdoor terrace, big and comfortable hammock and the jacuzzi all allow to enjoy sunny weather and long evenings. We loved having dinners on the terrace while watching the sun setting on the peaks in front of us! The living room is very bright and spacious and also spoils the guests with the views, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass. Bedrooms, all but one located on the lower level, are all comfortable, and decorated to the highest standards. We used the kitchen a good bit and found it extremely functional and high tech, and we loved how well equipped it was. We were particularly fond of the coffee machine, which we made friends with very quickly! We also loved the music system, which allowed us to access our own Spotify playlists, making us feel at home. We travelled with a toddler and were very pleasantly surprised to find some toys and books in the chalet to keep him busy and amused. How thoughtful! Jon could not have been more helpful with any queries we had, advice about activities and places to go, and, last but not least, with any equipment that we needed (eg. our buggy did not work well on some of the tracks we took, Jon very kindly provided us with a proper mountain buggy). We were visiting between seasons and loved how green, quiet and peaceful the valley was; plenty of mountain walks, woodland strolls and places pretty much to ourselves. Hints for families with small kids: apart from fabulous time out in nature, there are plenty of playgrounds to enjoy too. On wet days, a play cafe in the centre of Cham and the municipal swimming pool are great places to visit. Though, our chalet was so gorgeous, staying in was a great treat in itself! :) Finally, I loved that our eco lodge was indeed eco (eg. woodfired sauna, geothermal heating). Definitely recommend this stunning lodge to anyone! Thank you to Marmotte Mountain Adventure for the most precious memories.
