Maison de ville super élégante dans le centre-ville de Dartmouth

Une très bonne trouvaille! Situé au centre du centre de Dartmouth dans une rue très paisible, ce cottage a été magnifiquement rénové pour créer un fabuleux espace de vie décloisonné au rez-de-chaussée avec trois somptueuses chambres aux étages supérieurs. Il y a même un jardin clos à l'arrière pour profiter d'un repas en plein air.

Toute la maison a été meublée et équipée avec un maximum de confort.

La porte d'entrée s'ouvre de Clarence Hill dans le salon décloisonné. à l'avant du chalet se trouve le salon meublé d'un canapé et de fauteuils, d'une grande télévision et de tables de chevet. La cuisine est très bien équipée pour des vacances indépendantes et comprend des meubles de couleur crème avec dessus en granit, pouvant contenir le lave-vaisselle, les réfrigérateurs et les congélateurs, un four électrique et une plaque de cuisson, une machine à café Nespresso (veuillez apporter des dosettes).

La salle à manger a un haut plafond de verre inondant la pièce avec une table à manger en bois claire et des chaises rembourrées pour 6 personnes. Hors de la salle à manger est une petite cour avec une armoire abritant la laveuse / sécheuse et un espace réfrigérateur et congélateur supplémentaire.

Les escaliers mènent au premier étage avec la première des chambres, celle-ci a un lit king size rembourr��, de nombreux rangements et une grande télévision. Également à cet étage se trouve la grande salle de bains familiale avec baignoire d’angle, douche séparée, lavabo et toilettes.

Au deuxième étage, il y a deux chambres à coucher avec lits doubles rembourrés et nombreux rangements. L'un d'entre eux dispose d'une douche, de toilettes, d'un lavabo et d'une télévision.

Sur le demi-palier situé entre le premier et le deuxième étage se trouve la porte menant à la terrasse fortifiée avec une table et des chaises en rotin et un barbecue à gaz Outback.

Un permis de stationnement est fourni pour le parking Majors Avenue situé à quelques pas.

Repeat visit

This was our second visit to this perfectly located property in Dartmouth. The accommodation is spacious, very well equipped and very comfortable. Suits us perfectly so returning next year. Small issue with heating on this visit but a new boiler is being installed so no further issues in future.

A lovely house in a great location, very comfortable beds and sofas, nice finishing touches with cushions and throws. The house has everything you need and the kitchen is really well equipped. We enjoyed the outside seating too. Carpets could just do with a refresh (although must be difficult with constant guests). Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Excellent accommodation!

We have used Dart Valley Cottages several times and are confident that our accommodation will be of a high standard. At our last visit, again, we were not disappointed. The house was an excellent choice; clean, modern, easy access to Dartmouth town and amenities, nice outside space, comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. A great place to stay

10 Clarence Hill is in an excellent location for exploring Dartmouth - close to the centre but in a quiet street. We were able to park in the nearby car park and then travelled on foot or by ferry or steam train for the rest of our few days' stay. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed the BBQ on the upper terrace where we could sit out on a warm sunny evening. M and S food is very close by. Thank you for a wonderful short break!

Our second stay at this beautiful property. Couldn’t ask for the wrong thing. Perfect location near to town, a parking permit which many don’t offer, spotless, beautifully appointed. I would say this is the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. We hope to return. Thank you!

Lovely stay

This very pretty cottage is beautifully decorated and couldn’t be better located. We had everything we needed and the place was immaculate when we arrived with spotlessly clean bathrooms. The bedrooms were surprisingly spacious but the beds were a little uncomfortable and could really benefit with a good mattress topper. However we had a wonderful stay which offered excellent value for money

Gracious Cottage

Plenty of room and able to unpack and spread out. The bed in main bedroom was extremely comfortable.Large bathroom ( room for a party). Easy to heat ( cosy rugs supplied) . Not much space for pantry items and freezer was totally iced up. Parking permit made life much easier. In June there’s plenty of space available. It’s a challenging street to drive. We only did it for drop off and pickup.We’d recommend this as a great holiday home. We’re love to return.

Our stay

Great location! Really central and a cute little street. Great space for 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog. Simple to check in/out. Great that you got the parking permit , which really helped. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Just little thing, is that the top en-suite bathroom door kept on getting stuck. So we don’t close again during our stay…just needs to be checked and will be resolved quickly I’m sure.

Excellent accommodation in perfect location

We can highly recommend 10 Clarence Hill. The house is beautifully furnished and everything one might need has been provided especially in the kitchen. The main bathroom on the first floor has such a luxury feel. We found the place very clean and as the heating is on constantly we were never cold. Only a 5-minute walk from the harbour, shops and restaurants and yet very quiet at night. A tip that might be helpful especially during the high season: booking a restaurant in advance is advisable as they can get booked out very quickly.

10 Clarence Hill

Overall the house was great. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is well situated and has all you need. We had an issue with the drains during our stay and it was fixed in less than 24 hours. We had brilliant weather whilst we were in Dartmouth but the BBQ had not been cleaned since last year it looked like and was unusable. Also the back garden area needed a good clean and sweep through so did not make the most of the outside space unfortunately.

Fab 3 night stay.

Thanks so much for a fabulous stay!! Your house is in such a great location and was exactly what we wanted. Beautifully clean and warm. A couple of things we noted as some feedback; The front door mat was has obviously got wet and is quite strongly smelling of damp. The top bedroom with ensuite, the mattress was unbelievably hard, our friends moved to the third room. The coffee pod machine doesn't work. We have a holiday let and thought these points may be useful to know! Again thank you so much for our stay, we will be back.

Great place to stay so central but let down by some elements of cleanliness ie glass roof and deck

Hi we loved 10 Clarence Hill such a perfect location and a great house. Amenities all great though it would have been nice to have had 6 glasses that matched !! But - the cobwebs on the glass roof over the dining area we’re HUGE so need a feather duster up there. We had lovely weather so used the outdoor area BUT we had to sweep the area as it was really grubby, cobwebs on furniture and covered with leaves. The glass roof was filthy and whist I’m sure it’s not easy to clean even the torrential rain we had didn’t wash away the green algae general grime. We’d certainly stay again and would recommend the house but with the provisos outline above

Thank you for your comments all of which have been taken on board. Our clean team have been regularly praised for their high level of service and attention to detail so we take your comments about the cobweb and outdoor furniture seriously. Unfortunately we have had a very wet summer and an almighty storm the week before you arrived so the glass roof is a reflection of the damage that was caused and all the fallen debris that came down when this hit the south west. We already have a window cleaner booked to help restore it back to normal. We look forward to welcoming you to Number 10 Clarence Hill in the future

Lovely cottage

When we first opened the door we all said WOW. It’s very cosy. A beautiful cottage and plenty of room for 6. The bed on first floor was very uncomfortable, I used the throw from the bed plus my throw to make it comfortable. A new mattress or at least a mattress topper is definitely needed. The tv in the lounge is not a smart tv, meaning we couldn’t watch Netflix as a family. The settee and armchair have stains and needs cleaning. The toaster was only working on one side and they delivered a new one the next day. All in all we loved the cottage.

Would recommend!

Had a lovely stay at this property last week. It’s really well located and very central, and only a minute’s walk from the a river Dart. There is a small hill up to the property so we were glad of our wheeled suitcases. The property is very comfortable over three floors. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge is comfortable. The dining area is light and airy. There is an outside patio area - unfortunately it was a little too chilly to use. The main bedroom was great, and the large main bathroom. The shower was especially nice. Two further decent double bedrooms on the top floor, one of which has an en-suite. Downsides - The beds are quite uncomfortable and there were a couple of maintenance issues that were unresolved during our stay. Nothing too detrimental though…. We would stay there again !

A wonderful stay

The cottage was beautifully appointed and very well resourced in terms of cutlery, pans, plates etc. The bedrooms were again really well designed with comfortable beds, really good bed linen and towels and the main bathroom was amazing! Everything had been well thought out for use of space including the small outside verandah with table, chairs and barbecue that caught the sun most of the day. It was in a very good position for Dartmouth, a few minutes walk to the centre down a small hill. Dartmouth itself was a delight with much to see and do in the environs. The cottage comes with its own car parking permit for the town centre car park. The cottage company was really helpful as was the housekeeper, answering any queries promptly. Only one thing to be aware of! The cottage is on a very narrow ( 6 foot width) street going up a hill. Although there are directions to drive to the accommodation I really feel it would be better to unload at the bottom of Clarence Hill ( only a few yards to the cottage). We found it hair raising to try and navigate such a really tight road! All in all, a lovely and really enjoyable stay!

This is a lovely property, in a great location, right in the centre of things and yet so peaceful. The parking pass provided was much appreciated with Mayor’s Avenue car park about three minutes walk away. The house is decorated nicely and is spacious and light for the most part. The outside seating area is a good size and a bonus in Dartmouth. The main bathroom was a very good size with a lovely big bath and a powerful shower. The kitchen was very well equipped on the whole and the fresh flowers were a nice touch. The board games provided were great for rainy days or quiet evenings in. A few things perhaps for the owner to consider: The Smart TV in the lounge does not connect to Netflix or Amazon Prime so perhaps a DVD player or a TV upgrade (Netflix was available on the bedroom TV’s.) Also the television in the lounge is so big it blocks out so much light and prevents you from opening the window. The carpets in the lounge and on the stairs were quite grubby. The bed on the first floor was very uncomfortable but this is just our opinion. There was only 1 teaspoon in the kitchen and I see this was mentioned in a review 12 months ago. We did have a carton of milk in the fridge on arrival and fresh flowers on the table. There was also tea and coffee opened in the cupboard but perhaps a Welcome Pack might be more appreciated. Lastly the outside seating area was really dirty - we didn’t realise this until halfway through the holiday and so didn’t bother to report to letting agent. Overall a lovely property, which, with a few minor improvements would take it up to the description advertised.

A fabulous week in Dartmouth

A beautiful house in a very convenient location in Dartmouth town centre. We made use of the patio when it was sunny enough. The house felt luxurious but could be improved with mattress toppers to make the matresses a bit softer. All in all a very spacious and well equipped house to stay in for a week.

Lovely break in Dartmouth

Following the disappointment of not being able to stay last year, 10 Clarence Hill certainly lived up to our expectations. It has a great location, and has everything you need for a relaxing break, with every thing considered. We especially loved the board games for rainy / lazy days.

Beautiful centrally located house,

The house is beautiful and really nicely decorated. The location right in the centre of town is great. The only complaint we had was the mattresses! These were too firm, and felt like they either needed replacing or a decent topper put on them.
