About Mary Dierich
My husband and I live part time in this area and find the travel between the Twin Cities and here which is very convenient. We were looking for a bigger cabin and found this gem. My daughter Becky, who lives full time in the area, manages the rentals for us and is helping us learn the ins and outs of vacation rentals. Having a small business like this has been a fun endeavor for all of us and we hope that you can see the care that we take to make you feel right at home in our home!
Mary Dierich purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Mary Dierich chose Turtle Lake
I was very excited when I found this home in 2017. It is located on a 1 acre parcel on a cove with a great recreational lake-good for swimming, fishing and water toys like sailboats and motorized water craft. It has many bays for fishing and is considered a really good fishing lake locally. Despite being in a lake home neighborhood, the home and yard exudes a cabin feel. This cabin is a good choice for people who want to get away, but still want nearby amenities. The cabin is large and roomy for rainy days when they happen. The huge covered porch is wonderful for just sitting and enjoying the view of the lake, visiting or reading a book. My grandkids love the loft which can sleep 6 and we love the outdoor space where we can keep an eye on them while they are on the play structure or using the playhouse. The cabin is very accessible-two steps up and you are on the main floor. For those in wheelchairs or using walkers, you can get down to the lake through the yard without trying to get down a staircase. The cabin is close to town but not so close that you are not in the great outdoors. But what really sold up on the property was the play house and play structure. We keep the yard mown to allow kids plenty of room to run. Water, sand, swings and their own private place is a dream for kids and when kids are happy, parents are too!
What makes this Cabin unique
My husband and I loved the great vacations we took our children on every summer-both to their great grandparents lake home as well as camping. We continue to take vacations now on a regular basis with our 10 grandchildren and know that cabin life is a lot easier than camping! We think it is important for all of us to have some time in nature and bought this cabin with an eye to helping families (both yours and ours) enjoy the great outdoors. We hope you enjoy this experience and return for many years!
