Family/couples or escape holiday/rural retreat with beautiful mountain views
Located within a beautiful rural setting and views, close to family adventure activities - walking, cycling, fishing [leisure fishing kit at home], skiing [within 1 hour drive], caving, horse riding, rock climbing with many friendly restaurants nearby, cultural/historic churches, monasteries, ancient villages and the medieval Bulgarian capital - Veliko Tarnovo within 20 minutes. Also, world-class bird watching and star for couples, solo adventurers and families (with kids). All airports [Sofia, Varna or Plovdiv] are around 2.5 hours drive, Sofia the capital city is 2.5 hours drive, the Black Sea coast resort is 3.5 hours.
Two large bedrooms with comfortable sleeping for 4 persons [double and twin], also with two double sofa-beds in the lounge with comfortable sleeping for up to 4 persons]. So, versatile sleeping for up to 8 persons. Bedding and towels within the property for all possible combinations [plus swimming towels for swimming trips to the local swimming pool - 5 minutes drive, where they also serve pizzas and refreshments . There is both air-conditioning and heating for summer and winter, plus additional plug-in heaters and an open log-fire.
There is ample outdoors-dining facilities with a large table and chairs [that can also be brought indoors] for up to 8 persons, plus sun-loungers/easy chairs for 6 persons, also, a BBQ.
Ample hot water [just switch on immersion as needed] and large upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower, plus downstairs cloakroom. Large open-plan kitchen with all facilities including dishwasher, washer-dryer, cappuccino machine, all utensils and a large fridge/freezer.
The local town is 5 minutes drive with a number of very well stocked small supermarkets for daily shopping plus local cafes/restaurants [also an excellent and large local outdoors swimming pool

My life-plan wish is to be eccentric by the time I retire, I’m very much on track - a session drummer who now designs and builds Rope Bridges, Treehouses, Tree-top Walkways and awesome Nest Swings worldwide has to be just about as eccentric, eclectic and entrepreneurial as is possible to be, often commented as “the best job in the world!” and in the words of my son - "thank you for being such an awesome dad, friend, boss and role model. You are the coolest guy I know and I only hope to achieve what you have in your life."

The property is a world-class resort-village within rural Bulgaria, somewhere that for me and my two boys together with family and friends have found a place of inspiration, relaxation and well-being - there is something very magical that touches the heart here pulling us back year after year.
I was originally invited to design and create a treehouse village in the surrounding woodland, fell in love with the inspiration it energised in me and invested in what I believe to be the "very best" view and location within the resort-village. The 'treehouse' contract didn't materialise and I didn't furnish the new property for a number of years, although fortunate to stay each year in the resort-village with my two boys growing up. In time it made sense to furnish and create a more lasting 'home' so, we created a modern and comfortable, well equipped space for the whole family to enjoy, entirely at Ikea but deliberately for relaxed comfort, every family luxury and a no-worry/no-fuss enjoyment. It has been successful with the opportunity of up to 8 persons sleeping [which we have done many times], versatile accommodation that is really easy to live in, keep clean and comfortable and simply walk-in and enjoy comfortable. I go there often on my own to stay and work - a "blue-sky-thinking" trip, take family to enjoy family time or allow my now grown-up boys to enjoy "boys-trips" with their Uni or workplace mates.
I am delighted to be working with HomeAway to create a rental income for this house, but my investment strategy will actually come from the future planned operation of the village by Ramada as one of their world-class eco/health 'village' resorts - right now is an exciting time to benefit from all that the property gives whilst being both quiet, relaxed and largely untouched.

The emphasis is a 'home-from-home' that you can walk into and immediately have everything you want - simple and convenient, no fuss. Importantly, the lifestyle emphasis is lots of 'outdoors-living', breakfast in the sunshine, many hours relaxed outside - perhaps with some chill music streaming to the smart TV/sound-bar and sunset suppers [BBQ or kitchen cooked] outside with beautiful mountain views.
The house is within a resort-village, modern facilities within traditional Bulgarian style architecture - taken directly and inspired from the many local ancient old-villages of rural Bulgaria.
One of the great benefits that make this resort-village and property really special is that right now the whole village is largely complete [some minor planned features yet to be built, like an on-site swimming pool and tenancy of the landmark/big-brand shops] and contract-completed [I've seen the contract] for operation-launch with a major international hotel chain as one of their world-class eco-resorts. There is no building work going on, in terms of living there - everything is complete , but a big benefit is that hardly anyone is staying there as the resort has not yet been marketed - so, it's quiet, free of any branding and just the most special place. It was built and succeeds as a ground-breaking eco-village and has won many awards. It has focused design on being a place for well-being, health and conservation.
