An old winery, established in 1879, has been transformed into a 5 houses complex with enchanting views to the tranquil blue of the Aegean Sea.

Can accommodate from 2 to 18 guests .This is an ideal accommodation choice for guests seeking a private stay, for large groups or wedding participants who will enjoy the authentic island experience in the east side of Santorini. Afoura Houses in the village of Exo Gonia is conveniently located close to the airport, the island’s capital Fira, the village of Pyrgos as well as the vibrant beach of Kamari.

“Afoura” is the name that Santorinians give to the biggest barrel of a winery. Afoura Houses offers its guests a genuine Santorini living experience away from the hustle of caldera. The authentic character of the traditional architecture and living in Santorini remained unspoilt, where carefully selected cutlery, furnishing and the décor reflect the sophisticated charm of the house and the authentic spirit of Santorinian living.

A unique property

We were a family of 11 staying at the Afoura property. It is a unique property with 5 separate living areas, lovely out door spaces, and beautiful views. Since it is located away from the Santorini sites in a residential area, it was necessary to have cars for transportation. The site is on a steep hill so challenging for our cars to get up there. Nonetheless all our group loved the setting and the very unusual layout of the property.
