We had the best Christmas ever in a wonderful house. It was so spacious and warm. It was immaculately clean on our arrival and the garden is beautiful. I would definitely stay there again
Great place, palatial! The weather was perfect and the host was brilliant at responding to questions. Two good sized bathrooms, large bedrooms and having a games room as well as a lounge was a huge plus for our teenagers. Great walks from the doorstop, lovely community (enjoyed the fire-brand New Years Evening procession).

Thanks for the review. Many comment on how spacious the property is - it's difficult to capture that with a camera but we're shortly going to upload some new photos following the recent kitchen refurbishment
We had a wonderful week here aided by good weather but the house and garden had enough space, equipment and facilities for rain not to have spoiled it. Everybody (82-5) enjoyed being here inclusding walks and visits both locally and further afield. The farm shop sells good meat and a variety of fresh veg as well as other deli items. Thanks so much for making this house available..
I would highly recommend this property. It has everything you will need for your stay.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this beautiful property. The location was stunning and wonderfully quiet, and the house itself was perfect. Lovely and cosy, but also offering a games room which was a big hit with the little ones! Would definitely recommend, great communication with owners who were very helpful and fantastic value for money - we hope to return this year!
Large spacious accommodation suitable for all ages and perfect for our family of 12, encompassing 3 generations. Large garden

About the host

We are a family of four with 2 boys. We love mountain biking, skiing, hillwalking, canoeing - any outdoor activities really! We live in Edinburgh but try to escape up to the house ourselves as often as we can.
Why they chose this property
Lovely woodland and riverside walks and off-road biking from the door. Beautiful scenery, totally peaceful and amazing starry skies. Heaps to do for all ages in the area. Great wee village shop and butcher.
What makes this property unique
We love the house because it's roomy but cosy at the same time. It's in such a peaceful location and the garden is really big and enclosed, with dozens of trees - perfect for kids exploring and building dens and watching the red squirrels. It's great to have the large play room with the TV and table tennis table separate from the quiet lounge! It's also our home from home so it has lots of extra touches, equipment, books, games etc
