About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 1 Half Baths, Sleeps 11

Discover the light-filled island charm of this beautiful four-bedroom home, a recently redecorated St. Simons Island retreat with family-friendly amenities, a screened porch, a fenced backyard, updated furnishings and appliances, and a perfect location close to shops, restaurants, and gorgeous beaches. It's an ideal escape for anyone interested in biking, beach-combing, touring historical attractions, and shrimping on the Lady Jane!

This darling two-level home sits in a quiet neighborhood north of Redfern Village, close to Kings Beach and a short stroll from boutique shops, spas, restaurants, and public tennis courts. You'll be only three miles west of Sea Island, four miles north of East Beach, and five miles north of Neptune Park and the St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum.

The fresh interior has been outfitted with pristine, brand new furnishings, and this air-conditioned home is tailor-made for families, beach-goers, corporate retreats, and extended getaways. Leave your sandy flip-flops on the front porch, come inside to pile on the sectional sofa, and watch the Georgia-Florida game on the 55-inch Smart TV with cable service and Netflix streaming.

Move into the well-appointed kitchen to fix a few game-time snacks using a full complement of major appliances. Whip up a fresh salsa verde in the blender, get some spicy chili simmering in the slow cooker, and sit down to enjoy your homemade creations at the eight-person dining table. Two booster seats are even provided to give your little ones a seat at the table.

Begin each morning with breakfast hot off the waffle iron, let the dishwasher take care of the plates, and get ready for a day at the beach no matter the season. Grab the provided baby toys, towels, cooler, and beach chairs on your way out the door, and spend the afternoon swimming off the shores of East Beach.

Throw your bathing suits and towels in the washer/dryer back at home, and use the free WiFi to post photos of your days. As the parents and grandparents sip cocktails or cold drinks on the screened back porch, the kids can play tag in the fenced yard, set up a board game, or walk down the street for a game of tennis.

With four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the St. Simons Happy Place will accommodate 10 guests comfortably (with a maximum occupancy of 11). On the first floor, you'll find a master bedroom with a king-size bed, abundant closet and drawer space, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo down the hall.

Head upstairs to discover a second master bedroom with a king-size bed, a 55-inch Smart TV with Netflix (if you have your own account) and cable, and a half-bathroom. The second floor also features a third bedroom with a queen-size bed, a kids' room with two sets of twin bunk beds (and an inflatable twin mattress in the closet), and a full bathroom with a tub/shower. Additional amenities include two Pack 'N Plays, a baby gate, and a take-a-book/leave-a-book library.

Whether you're an annual visitor or planning your first vacation to Coastal Georgia, St. Simons Island is the perfect blend of outdoor activity and welcome relaxation. With blissfully mild temperatures in the height of winter, it's always a good time to take a leisurely bike ride to Fort Frederica National Monument three miles north or go crabbing as a family on the St. Simons Pier.

Take a two-mile drive south to explore the local shops and restaurants in Redfern Village, or spend the day at the wonderful swimming pool, playground, and miniature golf course at Neptune Park five miles south. Join an eco-tour to catch a glimpse of the local dolphins, book a guided kayaking excursion on the island backwaters, or head south to marvel at the natural beauty of Cumberland Island National Seashore.

Treat your family to a summer or winter vacation they'll always remember - reserve your stay at this picturesque St. Simons Island home today!

About Vacasa of Coastal Georgia

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly what we needed! We were visiting for a Georgia Junior PGA and decided to rent a home with another family. This was perfect for the number of people we had. The home was just a short distance to the course and restaurants. We will definitely rent this home again if we participate in the tournament next year!

PERFECT house for a group!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a house full of ladies for a church retreat. This house was even better than we could have expected. There were so many added touches it felt like we were in our own homes. There were pots, pans, cutting boards, plates, silverware, coffee cups, ample seating, games, ice maker. It was a fantastic house for us and met our needs perfectly. The beds arent the most comfortable in the whole world, but they arent the worst either.

We had a really nice time there. Everything was very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 6 young children.

The Melton beach vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was a great beach house, an easy short drive to a couple of beaches. Plenty of room for six adults and five kids. Wish they would give more details about what is in fthe house to make it easier to determine what to bring. Loved the house and neighborhood.

So glad we stayed here--Easy, and with a house full!!!

SO nice!! Extras we've not had at other St. Simons rentals. Just incidentals but they mean SO much!! LOTS of towels. Coffee packs. Salt, pepper, sugar--yes, small stuff that just makes a stay that much more easy and comfortable.

Wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

The house was well suited for all of our needs. There were 5 adults, 4 kids, a 2yr old and a 5 month old. We never felt cramped or were lacking for a place to sit or sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, including a crockpot and a blender. At night the kids plays some of the games that were available (I haven’t played operation in years). We even had some late night movie nights in front of the huge tv downstairs. We had a small issue that management took care of immediately. I was very impressed with their attentiveness and professionalism. I’m giving top marks to Roniece, the manager for making our stay perfect.

The island itself is beautiful. Unbelievable lush tree vegetation. Plenty of shops and restaurants, and don’t forget the wonderful beaches around. You do have to drive to the beaches but it’s only a short 10 minute trip and the scenery is amazing to look at.

You are also very close to Jekyll island which has driftwood beach, a must see. There are plenty of places to see or you can just get some sleep on the beach.

We will definitely be coming back as we loved it so much.
