Why Maggie and Norm chose Amelia Island
There is nothing like the Plantation for the best vacation ever! There are many walking paths and golf courses in this Audubon International Certified Sanctuary. There are also bike trails in the Plantation nearby that connects Amelia Island with Talbot Island. One of the best things after the view and the comfortable interior design along with the short walk to the shops and restaurants. Also, not having to wait for the elevator by using the stairs. Amelia Island is well loved by travellers. Amelia Island is listed in the book, “1,000 Places To See Before You Die,” describing how past and present coexist with some of the choicest and most pristine beaches along the Florida coast. What makes this Condo unique
The condo is located in a lush, coastal hammock forest and sand dunes. The developers left much of the tree canopy intact, to give a wonderful feeling of privacy and serenity. Wonderful time and everything was perfect from the view to having everything we needed for our stay
Perfect condo, perfect view, perfect weather. We are already planning our next trip!
This was our first visit to Amelia Island and I have to say it is BEAUTIFUL!! From the trees to the homes, it was simply beautiful. The condo was so enjoyable with all the comforts of home. Very family friendly!
We would do it again
The property was exactly as portrayed on the vrbo site. Maggie and Norm were very helpful in every way to ensure our check-in went smoothly and to see if there was anything we needed. The condo is decorated beautifully, we had everything we could possibly need, the view was spot-on, and we had a lovely time.
Perfect place with an amazing view
We had such a nice getaway here! The villa was better than we could have imagined. Very clean and stocked! We were appreciative of the keurig coffee, utensils and little details that we haven't seen in a place before. The villa is taken well care of and the decor was really nice! We could tell the owners love their vacation home! Thank you for sharing with us!
Excellent beachfront suite
Better than expected, awesome view, quiet building, well appointed interior. We had a great time staying here, and the host has thought of everything. We loved the beach, quiet and clean. Single flight of stairs to the beach level. Staying here was much more laid back than the resort. A+
The Perfect Vacation Stay!
We had the most wonderful stay at Maggie and Norm’s oceanfront condo! Upon arrival, they had communicated and shared all that their condo and Amelia had to offer. The place was fully loaded with everything a vacationer would need; bath linens, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and the like. The kitchen was stocked with small appliances, good quality kitchenware, and coffee to get my husband started! This was our little one’s first time on the island and it was such a luxury going back and forth from the beach to the pool at her request. Some of our favorite memories were watching the sun rise each morning over the ocean, seeing the moonrise in the evenings, and watching the boats out at sea fishing during all hours. It was the most peaceful stay. We enjoyed putt-putting, dining, and shipping at the resort area where there is so much to do. We are seafood lovers and enjoyed all the dining Downtown Fernandina provides; it did not disappoint!! The Fudgery was a frequent night time stop and family favorite. Who doesn’t need to get ice cream and watch the sunset near the dock in the evenings.
Maggie next Norm have created a haven, an escape to simplicity and the sea. This was our home away from home for a week and leaving was hard! We’re anxious to book our next visit and would highly recommend anyone stay here. I can assure you, they will do everything they can to make it the best experience possible. Thank you both!!

This condo offers amazing oceanfront vistas from every room. Sandcastles Villas is one of the most popular destinations in Amelia Island Plantation since it is conveniently located to the beach, restaurants, and shops. You will find over 3 miles of ocean beaches, miles of bike and walking trails, fishing, boating and more nearby. Condo located next to the Omni Hotel and just a short walk to shops, dining and resort activities. The onsite Omni Plantation Spa is a great way to start your vacation.
Downtown in Fernandina Beach you will find the oldest seaport in the U.S. which has a rich heritage being under eight different flags. We love to stroll around downtown, especially at night among the lighted trees visiting the quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. Especially enjoyable are the horse and buggy tours of historic Fernandina. Additionally, there are jet skis, parasails, inland/offshore fishing charters and sailing charters available for hire. A short ferry ride can take you to beautiful Cumberland Island, a national seashore on the East Coast. Amelia Island is an award winning vacation spot. Some call it the "Best Kept Secret" making it the perfect place for making memories that last a lifetime.
