Luxury villa with swimming pool near the sea

In the historic center of a small village in Puglia just 4 km from the sea of the picturesque port of Castro Marina, on the Adriatic side of the Salento peninsula, there is this beautiful villa with swimming pool with a typically Mediterranean flavor and an unmistakably international taste. A skilful restoration has kept the architectural features of the buildings in the area unchanged, while the furniture and decor are a mix between contemporary, ethnic and typical of popular houses in southern Italy, with that air of old crafts and sunny afternoons of summer, where the smell of homemade tomato sauce lingers in the alleys.

You enter the property by accessing a large courtyard with Mediterranean vegetation and succulents, whose decking, in a portion of the central part, is characterized by the emergence of irregular natural rock without smoothing pavement coverings, simply cleaned up and intentionally left thus to make the atmosphere of the place more typical. With the right care for this feature, this outdoor space, the fulcrum of the home, is to be experienced, organized for this purpose in different relaxation areas shaded with sails and furnished with chosen garden furniture and, in an adjacent area with plump ground, with a 12/14 seat outdoor dining table. 2 L-shaped buildings, the 2-storey main building and the annex on the other side overlook this courtyard. Both have a regular flooring outside and the annex is equipped with a shading pergola equipped with a table, sofas and armchairs.

From the first courtyard, through a small passage, you enter another larger courtyard where there is a swimming pool equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs, various relaxation corners and a small service bathroom. From this space, continuing through a stone arch, you cross a small garden with orchard and vegetable garden, which extends along the entire length of the back of the main house, and where there is independent access to 1 double bedroom with bathroom- shower in the room and a storage / storage. From the large courtyard, you enter the main building through French doors, and on the left there is a single large kitchen-dining room with 2 tables for 8 and 10 seats and an open kitchen. Going straight on, because the rooms are aligned and communicating with each other, you reach the living room, from which, going down the steps and going forward, you pass into a study with a single sofa bed and a large bathroom-shower for exclusive use; even further, a hallway that leads to a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and shower on the right and to the left, through masonry stairs, on the first floor where there is a large double bedroom also with ensuite bathroom with shower. Finally, as already mentioned, on the ground floor of the main building with independent access from the back, there is another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom-shower. In the annex then, with access from the pergola overlooking the courtyard, there are two double bedrooms each with bathroom-shower.

Notes: all bedrooms do not have a dividing door between the bathroom and the rest of the room, but only thick cream curtains. The two bedrooms on the ground floor of the main building with access from the back garden are exceptions, which have dividing doors with the bathroom. In the suite on the first floor, then, there is an internal door to the bathroom that separates the service area from the one with sink and shower. All rooms in the house have access from the outside through French doors, as well as, in some cases, from the inside; the exception is the suite on the first floor, which can only be accessed from the inside.

The weekly rates include: the consumption of water, gas and electricity (up to a maximum of 350 kWh per week, surpluses at a cost of € 0.35 per kWh); bed linen and towels (a change during the week); tidying and cleaning of the house 5 times a week by trusted staff (on request, additional cleaning service € 10.00 per hour). To be paid upon arrival, the cost of final cleaning which amounts to € 300.00. Security deposit € 700.00. Pets not allowed. Not suitable for children.
