Newly renovated home across from the bay and minutes to Destin's bought for the fabulous location close to the iconic East Pass, Harborwalk Village and the beautiful waters and spectacular beaches of the Emerald Coast. As well as water rentals, Gulfarium Marine Park. waterparks and amusement parks for the kids. The property was purchased for barefootbeachbunglows-dot-com because of it's premier location in Destin is known for deep sea fishing and beaches. You are close to the docks, charters and rentals. Home set on a beautiful peaceful wooded lot close to crab island, Joe's Bayou boat launch and Mattie Kelly park. One of our family’s favorite activities in Destin is to rent a pontoon and spend the day at crab island. So much to do at Harborwalk in the evenings including dining at one of the many restaurants. Seafood restaurants like AJ's, Tailfin's, Harry T's and Marina Cafe for fine dining all are on the harbor overlooking the water. McGuire’s Irish Pub and Mimmo's Italian Bistro are other favorites places to eat. For pizza Crust, Merlin’s and Mellow Mushroom are all excellent. Uber is available in Destin, Fl so I would highly recommend using it if going to Harborwalk Village to party or for special events , which are frequent on the harbor. .(just call UBER sooner than you would in other areas tends to be slower)Very inexpensive and you do not have to worry about parking which is sometimes hard to do at night.

A couple of “local tips” Pick up a See Magazine or other local coupons magazines for discounts to local attractions and restaurants. Also eating lunch out is generally less expensive and easier to get into a restaurant without a wait. Also ordering the poor-boys sandwiches are normally a good value since you get as much food as a platter. Sextons is the only seafood market I go to. However, many times the Winn Dixie or Publics also have good values on seafood and readymade food. All within 10 min. drive.
Beach Accesses: There are a number of places to access the beach so explore! The closest is at the Destin Bridge. Take Calhoun to the right it will dead end at Hwy. 98 take a right then at Destin sign and end of the bridge take a left and Park. Very calm water where the bay and Ocean meet. Normally gorgeous and great view. Good place for young children where water is not so rough also great for kayak and paddle boarding.
If you go down further on Hwy 98 toward Fort Walton Beach you will see the Eglin Public Park on the left but you must have a military to use. Remember ocean is on the left Bay on the right. Next is Shoreline on the bay. Great for kite surfing (rentals available), kayak and paddle boarding. Up further on Hwy 98 is Beasley Park Beach Access where there are rest rooms, showers and picnic areas. If you go even further down on 98 there is a large restaurant and public beach area that also has showers, bathrooms and a playground. A local favorite, the Crab Trap Restaurant at the Fort Walton Beach Board Walk is there as well as the Gulfarium. Wild Willy's Adventure Zone is across the street from the beach or on your right when coming from Destin. It has arcade, rides, Dino golf and more
You can also rent Jet Skis and Pontoon boats at the Harborwalk Village as well as multiple restaurants and music venues on the harbor. There are also amusements for the young and young at heart: zip line , rock climb, virtual rides and more for the kids. The easiest way to get to Harborwalk is to take a left out of the driveway and take Beach Street to take a right turn onto Hwy 98 then Harborwalk Village on is on the left. Harry T’s, their delicious muffins and endless Mimosa’s while watching the boats go by are a must for Sunday Brunch.
More beach accesses if you turn left off of Beach Drive to Hwy 98. Noriega Point And Osteen Beach Access on Holiday Isle and Crap Trap Destin. More about accesses at.Also Big Kahuna Water Park and The Track are also big local favorites for families. They are to the left off Beach Drive
