Fab Location - Annex of Beach House Aughris - Perfect for Singles/Couples

A delightful base in an area of outstanding natural beauty with miles of sandy beaches and wonderful scenery with the added bonus of the Beach Bar pub/restaurant a 5-10 minute stroll away.

The Annex is adjoining but completely separate to the 4Bed Beach House. It is a most comfortable and spacious 1bed unit. It is pet-friendly, without compromising our high standards of cleanliness. Pets are strictly not allowed in the bedroom.

The kitchen has everything you need for home cooking. Most of our guests dine outside when the weather allows, as the pastural setting is just delightful.

The living room is bright and comfortable with lovely views. In colder weather guests enjoy an evening in by the stove - this is in addition to oil fired central heating.

The bedroom is bright and spacious with a very comfortable King Size Bed. The bathroom is also spacious with electric shower - note there is no bath.

The location is wonderful, a quiet scenic seaside location with great beaches and wonderful views of the sea and mountains. It is just 40 minutes to Knock airport and 2.5 hours drive to Dublin airport. The location is particularly suited to people who enjoy the outdoors, many of our guests are Golf or Surfing enthusiasts who want a central base to sample what Ireland North West has to offer.
A major attraction is the very popular Beach Bar, an authentic old world pub/restaurant which is only 5-10 minutes stroll from the house.

Beautiful place to stay

Lovely property on Aughris Head. We were able access locations throughout Co Sligo. It was a bit hard to find initially but the EIR code made it easy (ask the host for this and enter it in Google maps). We loved being surrounded by sheep, green pastures, and the sea. Host was responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Ireland visit

We stayed at the Aughris House and Annex on our recent trip to Ireland. Both are wonderful units in a beautiful and idyllic setting with excellent access to hiking trails, restaurants, and a variety of local sites. The units were clean and fully equipped and Sheila made the check in extremely easy and responded quickly to any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Aughris House and Annex to others!

Winter break

Perfect for both of us to get away for a week over New Year with our two dogs. Weather as expected - challenging but good to get back from our long beach walks and enjoy a hot shower. Beach bar a short walk. Good atmosphere and tasty food. Shop for top-up provisions a short drive away. Annex well appointed and comfortable.

Pastoral paradise

Sheila was a very accommodating hostess and the accommodations were lovely. Very comfortable bed, everything we needed and the views and 5 minute walk to the beach suited us perfectly. Highly recommend if you are searching for peace and quiet.

Amazing property

Had a fantastic week in the annex of the Beach House. Within walking distance of a beautiful quiet beach and the Beach Bar pub. My family stayed in the main house and myself, husband and 4 yr old son with our dog were in the annex. We did bring a bed with us so we all had enough room to sleep

Nice coastal area.

We had a very nice stay, even if it was just for 1 night. Nice close walk down to the beach. A little chilly for walking barefoot in the water. Great getaway! Thanks Sheila!

Perfect location for two

We spend a week in the annex. It is a perfect apartment for two. The booking, the communication with Sheila, the "chef in" all was simple. The appartment was clean and comfortable. Sheila left enough information on close by shopping and things to do. The proximity to the beach and the beach pup made evening was a pleasure. I highly recommend the place. Regards Roland

Beach House Stay

Had a very enjoyable week at Sheila’s Beach House. The Beach Bar is so handy and great walks for the dogs especially just 100 yds onto the beach. House is well equipped and we would definitely book again. Thank you, more happy memories made.

Sehr schönes Haus mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Hilfbereite und zuvorkommende Vermieterin. Ruhige Lage in mitten von Wiesen, "kleiner" Strand 300m, "großer" (sehr schöner) Strand 1500m. Gemüticher Pub mit guter Küche 700m. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. C&H

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung nahe am Strand

Der Anbau des Beach House hält, was er verspricht, Strand ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, Beach Bar in 20 Minuten, ruhig gelegen und sehr gut ausgestatt. Sheila ist eine sehr hilfsbereite und großzügige Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Lovely and and plenty of space, beautiful surroundings

The flat is much bigger than we expected. The landscape is beautiful. We did feel very comfortable. Sheila is very friendly and uncomplicated. There are a lot of things to do in the area, if one wants to, many suggestions from Sheila. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much. We would love to come again!

Beautiful house in a fantastic place.

Our third visit to this beautiful house and annex in a lovely place. A short walk to the beach, the local pub / restaurant is 10mins away and serves really nice meals and the seaweed baths at Strandhill are fantastic. We've stayed in both the house and annex and both are well equipped, very clean and tidy and so peaceful. Thank you Sheila for this fabulous place and a superb visit. Stuart and Margaret.

A peaceful place

A lovely comfortable cottage in a great location. Facilities were fine, no sea view unless you went outside that is but a short walk brought to a lovely beach. Would highly recommend frio couples wanting a "get away from it all" break. A short walk took you to a great beach front pub serving excellent meals.

Well appointed, clean and excellent location.

Sheila, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The 'cottage' is bright, clean and has everything you need. The bathroom is big and well appointed. It was great to say hello to the cows and calves who came near the fence every day! The morning walk to the beach (5 min away) with our dog was so great, I really miss it! This is such a peacefull and great location you can really relax, enjoy the views and have a great holiday!

Extremely comfortable and welcoming.

We spent a very relaxing week in the Aughris Beachhouse. The house was ver=y roomy and comfortable. Sheila, the owner was very helpful and obliging if= we had any queries. The location was beautiful with the beach literally at t= he end of tge road a short walk away, as was the Beach Bar with good food an= d good service.=

Beautiful Beachhouse (annex) near the seaside

The Beach House (annex) is a well equipped house, with a wonderful view. A short walk takes you to the beach. Other walks in the area are near Strandhill and at the Glencar Waterfall. We drove through the Ox Mountains and had a beautiful walk at Aughris Head. We loved to watch the cows and sheep in the morning outside the house. When we arrived everything was well arranged and the owner was very friendly and helpfull! We could recommend this house to anyone who loves to walk along the seaside or drive through this beautiful area. Wim & Jeanet. The Netherlands

Relaxing Rural getaway

Booked for 2 nights, great accommodation, perfect facilities for us and our dog. Views from all angles and close to the beach. Sheila was great answering our queries and had thoughtfully put the heating on for our arrival which was a lovely gesture. The walks along the beaches and headlands were glorious. Dont miss the Beach Bar, lovely traditional bar, thatched roof and great food. Will definitely be back.

Tolles Haus, viel Platz, Erholung pur

Das Haus ist, folgt man genau der Beschreibung (nur die Abfahrt Aughris Head + Beach Bar), gut zu finden. Allerdings wäre ein Wegweiser von der Beach Bar aus hilfreich. Der Anstrich des Hauses ist übrigens rosa (auf dem Bild erscheint er weiß). Die Übergabe über den kleinen Schlüsselsafe ist sehr praktisch, sodass man gleich nach der Ankunft ins Haus gelangt. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet, hat viel Platz (Küche, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Bad) und eine herrliche Aussicht: Landschaft pur! An kühlen Abenden ist ein Feuer im Ofen des Wohnzimmers fast so gemütlich wie ein Kamin! Kein Verkehrslärm, nur Natur! Der Strand ist schnell zu Fuß erreicht, zur mit Recht angesagten Beach Bar sind es keine 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Essen dort ist sehr lecker und reichlich in uriger Atmosphäre. Sheila ist sehr nett und um ihre Gäste bemüht! Danke!

Great house and annexe with amazing location

We arrived after a long journey to find this lovely accommodation which lived up to its reviews. We couldn't believe how spacious and well equipped it was and the beds were all very comfortable. We enjoyed making a fire every evening with the peat that was supplied after coming back from our day out or evening in the Beach Bar, which is a lovely walk away along the top of the beach. It was idyllic and will look forward to return in the future.

Wonderful place

We had a lovely stay at the Annex! the house was bigger than we expected, and eveything we needed was there. It's a quiet place with a lot to explore. Close to the sea with its beach. And a pub "The Beach Bar"on walking distance (5-10 minutes).

outstanding homely property

When entering the property our first impression was 'wow'. It is a very clean and highly maintained property with a homely feel. The views from all around are amazing. When arranging our stay with the owner, they was very helpful and responded promptly to all enquires. There is up to date information of local attractions and places to eat. We are a family of 4, living 6km away
We have been happily involved in the Self Catering business since 2006 . The Beach House was our first self-catering property, since then we have added a selection of Holiday Lets in both Sligo and Donegal. All are of the same high standard, all are pet-friendly since the majority of our guests enjoying walking and like to bring their dog along.
All properties are in wonderful locations on the Wild Atlantic Way.

We purpose-built the Beach house with separate annex for self-catering in 2006 because we know that it is situated in a fantastic location, beside the sea with lovely sandy beaches as well as the ever-popular Beach Bar.This is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The location is truly a walkers paradise. Many of our guests are families that bring their pets and spend their days on the many sandy beaches around. Aughris is ideally located for people wanting to explore the North West of Ireland. Some guests do day trips, maybe Donegal one day, Achill the next with some R&R in between. Others spent their time walking, fishing, surfing or golfing in the different hotspots around (Enniscrone, Strandhill, Rosses Point).

The house is just two minutes walk to 2 miles of sandy beaches. A 5-10 minute walk takes you to the very popular Beach Bar so you don't have to worry about transport. The Restaurant at the Beach Bar is very popular with our guests.
The pub is open all year around with entertainment in high season.
This is an authentic old-world thatched pub and we are very fortunate to have such a popular establishment so close the the Beach House.
