2 Victoria Cottages est un chalet confortable d'anciens moulins classé Grade II. Situé sur la route principale à 200 mètres du centre de Bakewell, il est très bien situé, à quelques pas des pubs, des restaurants et des magasins de la ville.

Situé au cœur du White Peak, cette retraite rurale joliment présentée offre une base confortable, que vous souhaitiez profiter de l'air frais et de longues promenades à la campagne, conquérir les plus hauts sommets ou simplement vous détendre et vous détendre dans un pub de village convivial.

Le chalet est aménagé dans un style traditionnel à deux niveaux et à deux niveaux et bénéficie à la fois d'un jardin privé dans la cour adjacente à la cuisine et d'un coin salon en terrasse supplémentaire, avec une vue magnifique sur les toits de Bakewell.

Le coin salon comprend un canapé confortable, un coin repas et une télévision FreeView. Avec une cheminée décorative et des poutres en chêne offrant une sensation de chalet confortable, c'est un espace de détente pour se retirer, après une journée passée à explorer les sentiers de marche et de vélo à proximité.

La cuisine de style rustique comprend tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour votre séjour, avec une cuisinière / plaque de cuisson, un réfrigérateur-congélateur, une machine à laver et des couverts et ustensiles de cuisine de bonne qualité, ainsi qu'une variété d'extras tels que du thé, du café, etc.

La chambre a un grand lit king size, orné d'une couette moelleuse et confortable et de draps en coton blanc de qualité. La chambre bénéficie de beaucoup d'espace de rangement et des serviettes blanches sont fournies pour une utilisation pendant votre séjour.

La salle de bain est partiellement carrelée et contient une salle de bain blanche de bonne qualité avec une élégante baignoire sur pieds et une douche séparée à jets puissants.

En plus de son emplacement central dans le bourg historique de Bakewell, le 2 Victoria Cottages bénéficie également de son propre espace de stationnement hors route.

Le parking et le coin salon en terrasse sont accessibles via environ 30 marches, réparties sur trois volées d'escaliers. Les marches sont un mélange de pierre traditionnelle et de béton et sont inégales par endroits, bien qu'elles soient accompagnées d'une main courante solide.

Si vous souffrez de problèmes de mobilité, sachez que l'accès à ces zones peut être limité.

Il est possible de s'arrêter directement devant 2 Victoria Cottages pour une courte période (une seule ligne jaune), afin de décharger vos sacs / bagages. Vous pouvez également utiliser la porte d'entrée au jour le jour, si vous vous rendez à Bakewell et n'avez pas besoin d'utiliser votre voiture.

A lovely stay, loved the cottage, the garden steps were ok we used both the top and bottom gardens, perfect location, comfortable bed, great shower and well stocked kitchen, all in all we will rebook when we come back to Bakewell.

Great location and base for the walks and visits we wanted to do, parked the car and then walked or buses from Bakewell.Yes the parking is a bit awkward but managed OK even with an SUV. Steps down are steep but manageable with care and worth it for the top seating area views.Jenna the host provides loads of information, guide books, walks and OS maps so all very good and saves having to buy! Property very well equipped and thoroughly recommended this property.

Excellent standard of property

Everything was as expected with a very clean and well resourced property. Well stocked kitchen and updated bathroom. Bedding of high quality and comfortable mattress. Stairs, both inside and outside are steep but clearly in the description. Close to town. Excellent value for money.

Cosy cottage

Lovely little cottage in bakewell. Check in was easy with jennas instructions and there was even milk in the fridge and a cake to welcome me. Only slight issue is the noise from the A6 that the cottage sits on. Also if you're tall like me the stairs can be slightly hazardous!

Ideal for self catering & good location

We particularly liked the well equipped kitchen which included a full size fridge. Every kitchen tool and appliance we needed was provided plus tea, coffee, sugar & a few spices. The apartment was comfortable and less than a 10 min walk along the canal into the town centre. We enjoyed the flowers and table on the terrace. The only negative was a little traffic noise during the day but not at night or early in the morning.

Lo 5 minute walk into town to good selection of shops, grocery, restaurants/pubs/cafes/bakeries, The property itself is on a busy main road and has some traffic noise. Things to consider. There are steep narrow steps to navigate down from the parking space to the entry door to the property. Once inside the stairs to the first floor (bedroom annd bath up are steep and narrow also.

Visiting the Peak District

We enjoyed our stay in Victoria Cottage, a compact, yet perfectly formed Grade 2 listed cottage. The bathroom is modern and spacious, the couch and bed both comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook real food from the local farmers markets and farm shops! Jenna responded to questions quickly, directions for car parking we’re clear. As stated by other reviewers, the parking could be tricky, however we found that if we drove past and turned at the end of the lane and approached from that direction, it was easy in a Kia Ceed. We used both the upper and lower courtyards, a lovely decision to make!

A lovely cottage

We stayed for three nights at 2 Victoria Cottage and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The cottage is comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed and is in a perfect position for exploring Bakewell, the centre of which is only a short walk away and has plenty of pubs and places to eat. There are also lots of local walks from both short circular ones to longer ones without the need to use a car. One thing to point out is that the cottage is on a busy main road resulting in a lot of traffic noise at busy times of the day. We would however use the cottage again on a visit to Bakewell.
