This first-floor apartment rests in the hamlet of Cowdale, near Buxton and can sleep two people in one bedroom.
The Loft is a welcoming first-floor apartment, part of a stone barn conversion, in the countryside of Cowdale near Buxton. There is a double room plus a shower room, sleeping two guests. There is an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric woodburning-effect stove. Outside there is off-road parking, and shared use of an outdoor sitting area. The Loft is ideal for a romantic break or walking holiday. Note: One well-behaved dog is welcome. Note: This property is not able to accept children under the age of 14, however, will allow babes in arms.
Amenities: Electric radiators. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, shared washer/dryer, smart TV with Freeview, Netflix etc own login details needed for streaming services, DVD player, a selection of books, games, DVDs and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off-road parking. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. No fireworks permitted. Shop 2.3 miles and pubs 1.8 miles. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Note: This Buxton self-catering apartment is accessed via 11 external stone steps. Note: The property has shared use of laundry room with washer/dryer. Please note: This property doesn't allow car charging at the property. Ordnance survey Weatherproof Maps for the area The White Peak and The Dark Peak available for a £20 Cash Deposit per map which is returned on safe return of the map, we have four of each these are on a first come first served basis. Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: Originally a Roman spa town, due to the constant 28°C of Buxton's eight thermal springs the town reached its peak in the 18th and 19th Centuries under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire. The Palladian grandeur of today's town was designed and built by this family, including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Visitors continue to enjoy these buildings and gardens, as well as a full programme of events at the Opera House, in addition to the annual Festival of Music and Arts. Close by, walkers and cyclists can enjoy numerous trails and paths, which lead into the stunning scenery around the town.
