About Marcia K. Weiss
We are a professional couple who have loved the Cape and have summered in most every town here since we were first married. We finally discovered N. Truro and decided to build our own home in this lovely last unspoiled part of the Cape. Our home is located right in the center of the historic field (Twine Field., where the early fisherman laid and repaired their nets). It is a warm, welcoming, and caring neighborhood.
Marcia K. Weiss purchased this House in 1987
Why Marcia K. Weiss chose North Truro
Even as it changes, and people have built some pretty unsighlty mega mansions on the few remaining waterfront lots, our Cape property continues to offer the views we need to see in all directions. The famed Truro light is good for our artistic sensibilities. The nearness to P-Town and Wellfleet are essential to us for their services, bustle, entertainment, restaurants, cinema, art, groceries, health services etc. However, once back in rural Truro we feel totally away from everything commercial. It is perhaps the last quiet and peaceful place on Cape Cod.
What makes this House unique
We designed every detail of the home with our architect so that it would provide maximum light and views ( from the interior and exterior,) great comfort, and generational privacy to serve well either as a planned multi-generational family gathering place, or an adult-only haven. It has become a ' beloved home' and "little piece of heaven"for our family and our many returning renters and guests.

Beautiful, family friendly home
My family rented Skybluepink for an end of summer vacation and it was a great experience overall. The home is well cared for, incredibly clean, comfortable, and provided for a great place to relax and spend time with family. The outdoor shower is fantastic and the proximity to the beach couldn't be better. Marcia was helpful and responsive to all of our questions before and during the vacation and even sent us local activity listings via email. My only feedback for improvements would be the following:
- There were only 2 extra rolls of toilet paper and no paper towels in the whole house so we had buy those things on our own which I'm not used to from other rentals.
- The kitchen was well stocked but it would have been helpful to have a dish drying rack. After cooking big family meals we had tons of dishes allover the counter with no way to easily dry them.
- The bed blankets and pillow shams felt a bit dated. The home is so cozy and well-cared for but the beds felt a bit lack luster.
We would definitely rent this property again!
We are somewhat baffled by your review. There was a dish rack under the sink when we left the house. There was another on hanging on the wall next to the washing machine in the basement near a laundry basket full of unwashed, dirty dishtowels. You also left the dishwasher overloaded with dirty dishes which needed to be washed in two loads by the cleaning people, per lease instructions any
extra cleaning time is usually deducted from deposit, which we did not do as we came down to house and did all that was necessary ourselves. Nothing was where it should have been.
You must forgive us the lack of paper towels and toilet tissue. I know there was some there when you came. You might have called the cleaners as there’s tons of both in the attic space. The numbers to call are right by the house phone.
I agree about the blankets and I washed them and donated them to the church. The twin beds had new mattresses this year
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely, clean, comfortable and well-organized home with us!! Our family had such a great time in the Cape and your home made it even better. We especially loved the outdoor shower that we used after our long days at the beach. And Marcia was such a helpful host and very easy to communicate with. Thank You Marcia!
You don’t know how pleased it makes me to know you enjoyed the time you spent in our house at the Cape. I am glad it all worked out so well for you and your family. Come back soon!
Beautiful views, great location
We greatly enjoyed our time in this beautiful, peaceful spot. The wrap-around deck has lovely views and the yard is full of songbirds -- so enjoyable to be outdoors! Private beach just around the corner is a nice plus. There is plenty of room for family and visitors.
Many thanks for choosing our home for your family vacation. You were wonderful renters!!
A perfect Truro vacation home!
This had was lovely, very well maintained, and had everything in it our family could possibly need. We've rented many homes in the area before and really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the owners and their responsiveness when we had questions. It's a short walk to a beautiful private beach, and to the small town of North Truro with a small grocery store, restaurant and chocolate shop! The large flat lawn was enjoyed by our small grandchildren and we enjoyed the beautiful flowers. It was a perfect multi-generational getaway!
You were wonderful renters in every possible way. Thank you for selecting our home. Marcia
Wonderful vacation home
We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable vacation home. The house had everything we needed and a lovely wrap around deck looking out at the bay. My son (6) loved the big yard and hammock swing and the cozy nook a short ladder up from the main living area. The split level design was also nice so he could sleep at night without us walking directly overhead. The house is 1 minute down the road from a nice bay beach - plenty of rocks and shells to collect. There is also a handy shop, a nice restaurant and an amazing playground less than 5 minutes away. Marcia and Ron, the owners, were so thoughtful. The whole rental process was easy and they even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We have rented houses at the Cape for many years and would recommend this one highly,
It pleases us so much to know that you enjoyed the very things about our house that were seen as so essential to us when we designed and built it to suit our own family. We thank you for your review. Like you, we had rented at the Cape for many years before we decided that this was the right spot for us. N. Truro is our little piece of heaven. Marcia
Our week in Skybluepink was everything and more than I could possibly have anticipated. The day began sitting on the deck watching the sun rise and ended watching an incredible light show as the sun set. I could never get enough of the view from the livingroom area/wrap around deck- no matter what the time of day.
The home itself is designed with comfort and luxury- every need is met first class.
I can't say enough about my vacation in N.Truro/ except suffice it to say that I cannot wait to return next year. I wouldnt change a thing.
thank you Marcia and Ron for sharing your incredibly beautiful home with my family.
