In the Top Apartment of "La Bastide Saint Christophe" you will feel on top of the world in this cosy yet spacious apartment with its panoramic views over the wooded hills and mountains.

The apartment is 80m2 and can accommodate up to five people. It has a triple bedroom with king-size bed and single bed and a small bedroom ideal for children with two single beds.

It is south and east facing, with a private dining terrace located via a staircase down to the garden. The apartment is fully air conditioned !

Located a 10 minute walk from the centre of the medieval village of Le Bar sur Loup, "La Bastide Saint Christophe" is set in a centuries old olive grove of 3000m2 with uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

We offer 5 very spacious and high quality gîte apartments, furnished with care in a comfortable Provençale style.

The fabulous 12 metre long and 5 metre wide swimming pool is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and is heated from 1 May to mid October.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view !

Wonderful holiday

The apartment was very charming, also the little town Le Bar-Sur-Loup itself. The hosts were very friendly, well organised and uncomplicated. We definitely spent a wonderful time there.

Everything was wonderful!

La Bastide Saint Christophe is the perfect place to stay. We cannot fault it. We just didn't stay there long enough :) Friendly, efficient, clean, comfortable, spacious... and great location to experience the joys of the French countryside and mountain villages, with Nice and the dazzling coastline within an hour away. Thank you Milly and family!

Best place

We had 3 weeks there and a brilliant time. Well placed for activities like hiking, shopping, sightseeing in Nice, Grasse, Cannes, Antibes, close to the beaches, diving or chilling time in the pool. We recommend that Apartment, we missed nothing. The owners of the apartment were helpful, always there for questions and gave us a warm welcome!

Traumhafte Ferien zwischen Bergregion und Mittelmeer

Sehr freundliche und liebenswürdige Gastgeber, die bei allen aufkommenden Fragen sofort behilflich waren. Schöne Anlage mit tollem Pool, guten Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Das TOP Appartment war gut ausgestattet und man hatte vom Wohn-/Essbereich einen wunderbaren Blick in die Berge. Der Ort ist klein, aber charmant mit ein, zwei guten Adressen zum Essen (z.B. Ecole des Filles ist sehr zu empfehlen). Wir haben hier zwei wunderschöne Wochen verbracht und können uns gut vorstellen nochmal wiederzukommen.

Loup River Valley - Amazing views & Accomodation!

We arrive to this lovely lovely spot near the foothills of the French Alps. Le Bar Sur Loup is a treasure. The apartment on the top floor was just what we needed. Two bedrooms one large one smaller a very well equipped kitchen a beautiful pool and Pétanque/boules court , And gorgeous Gardens. Millie and art were wonderful hosts and we fell in love with the area and the town. We had a wonderful dinner at L’Hotel des Jasmins & And they swim in the river at the next town over. Fabuleux !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Milly et Art. L’appartement est spacieux, très propre et conforme à la description. La vue depuis le salon et depuis la piscine est magnifique. Milly et Art sont d’une grande gentillesse, discrets mais toujours disponibles au besoin. Milly nous a donné de très bons conseils de visites et restaurants. Nous pensons y refaire un tour l’année prochaine.

Perfect location for exploring Provence

La Bastide St Christophe is a lovely house in the countryside that provides an authentic taste of Provence. The setting is beautiful, tranquil and ideally located on the edge of the lovely village of Bar sur Loup. The house and apartment has a comfortable homely feel and we were made very welcome by our host Milly. We spent our days visiting beautiful towns and villages in the local countryside. Vence, Valbonne and Grasse are just a few minutes away but Antibes is on the coast and still only a half hour drive - well worth a visit. When you stay here you should also visit some of the smaller local villages such as Tourettes sur Loup (our favourite), Gourdon and Cabris. Milly will point you in the right direction and also give you excellent advice about local markets and places to eat. If the weather had been just a little sunnier or warmer we would have enjoyed spending time later in the day by the pool or sitting on our balcony. However, we were just as happy to spend a quiet cosy evening in the Garden Apartment with some of the local wine and cheese! Mike and Linda Willshare Durham, UK

A notre arrivée petite déception car pas de balcon ou terrasse en accès direct de l'appartement ( c'est le seul logement ) il fallait ressortir de l 'appartement pour bénéficier d'un espace extérieur , pour moi ce critère était important habitant en ville en appartement , lors de ma réservation sur le site ce n'était pas précisé que ce logement n'en avait pas ! J'ai fait part de ma petite déception à Milly et Mandy qui ont parfaitement compris et ils ont fait le nécessaire pour nous changer d'appartement dans la soirée ! Nous avons séjourné dans un appartement plus spacieux . Les appartements sont très propres et très bien équipés rien ne manque , literie confortable , jolie vue , on se sent comme chez soi !! Nous avons profité du balcon chaque matin un vrai plaisir ... Milly et Mandy sont d'une grande gentillesse à l'écoute donnent des informations sur visites restaurant ... Un grand merci à eux d'avoir rendu ce séjour très agréable et confortable :) Karine

Enchanting Provence

Our stay at La Bastide Saint Christophe exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Top Apartment, which allowed us to awake each day to opening the french doors in the living area and enjoy the beautiful view beyond. The visual inspiration that view provided, had us walking into the wonderful village of le Bar sur Loup just about every morning. In fact, we walked all over this lovely and authentic village often at various times of the day. The apartment itself was lovely, spotless and appointed in traditional Provence fashion. The provisions provided, be it in the kitchen, sitting area, bedrooms and on and on, were meticulously thought out. Every single question that might arise for the guests have been addressed and answered in a binder for everything from wifi, the pool, local referrals for restaurants, medical, etc. We were very impressed with how detailed and accommodating the hosts have prepared the apartments for their guests stay. It was effortless, allowing for all our attention to be focused on enjoying our stay. Our trips to Grasse (perfumeries), Gourdon, Tourettes sur loup, Nice, Eze, were wonderful and close enough to enjoy the beautiful routes to get there. The hosts/owners, Art and Milly could not have been more helpful or available and we look forward to our next trips to this magical area of France. Cheryl and David

beautiful apartment with incredible view

We had a great stay in la Bastide. The apartment, the garden, the view and the swimming pool are simply fabulous. Perfect for relaxing, and great starting point for exploring the wonderful Alpes Maritimes. Communication with Art and Milly was great, and they were so helpful. Can't wait to go back next year.

Superb location in Alpes Maritime

We have been here several times but the quality of the facilities remain at the same level; excellent! The place is very well maintained and very clean. The owners are always available and very friendly. You are not in a "Ikea environment" but in a real Provencal house. We really recommend this property

A great find!

We stayed in the top apartment for 3 nights in late June, we were fortunate enough to be there the weekend of the Fete de la St Jean, which is a major weekend long event with bonfires, dinners, traditional music and dancing. The apartment is well equipped, has a gorgeous panoramic view and the pool was just fantastic. There are a few restaurants nearby within walking distance and it is a great location for touring Grasse, Gourdon and surround villages. Make sure you take free Florian confectionery tour just a few minutes drive. Art and Milley were great hosts and very helpful, they live on site and are available if you should need assistance. Although the top apartment has 2 bedrooms, the 2nd bedroom off of the kitchen is quite small (perfect for kids) with 2 small twin beds, so for 4 adults you should consider one of their larger apartments. Also note the 5th bed is in same bedroom as the double bed. But we loved it and it was so much nicer than being in a cramped hotel room or B&B.

la Bastide St Christophe, Bar sur Loupe

We booked a small apartment at this lovely house and got a lovely top floor apartment with stunning views over the countryside. The owners were there to greet us and made us very welcome. They have so much local knowledge and speak so many languages it was fantastic and helped us settle into the area and its attractions very quickly. The owners have maintained the apartments in an authentic provencal style but with all the mod cons you need for a relaxing holiday where you can fully self cater. The house had a beautiful swimming pool which we could use which was lovely especially as the weather was so warm. We had our own outside private space which was great too. We found the area really interesting with Grasse nearby and only 30 mins to the coast. Being a little higher, it was a bit cooler than down at the sea, which was very pleasant. Loads of shops for food etc. very nearby but I would recommend hiring a car so you can get out and enjoy the medieval fortified towns as well as the coast. The property was exactly as described but no - maybe better! The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and anything we needed, they helped us with. The place was spotless when we arrived and was easy to keep clean and maintain during our stay as all cleaning stuffs were fully provided. Wi FI was great for my teenage son to keep in touch with his friends. I would highly recommend this property to anyone - from couples to those with families as there is a wealth of activities as well as being a peaceful location. We will definitely be rebooking at some point next year.

wonderful setting and superb apartment

We cannot fault this apartment. The view is wonderful, the pool is so relaxing and the apartment is wonderful - it is fully equiped, comfortable and full of character. We have been here twice now and intend to return again. Milly and Art are the perfect hosts and the whole experience is one to be treasured. Role on next year, so we can visit again!!!

I moved with my husband Art to the south of France with the idea of staying for a couple of years but we fell in love with the area and its amazing climate.
We were lucky enough to find "La Bastide Saint Christophe" and to make it our home.
I hope to offer our guests a sense of the beauty and tranquility that enchanted us when we moved here more than 20 years ago!

We were actually looking for what seemed like the impossible property! A characterful house big enough for us to live in and rent out holiday apartments somewhere in the Grasse area or a village nearby. To top it all it had to be south facing, not on a main road, and walking distance to the local boulangerie.

Gorgeous authentic village, lovely views, beautiful old olive grove, characterful architecture, sunny pool and walking distance not only to the boulangerie but to excellent restaurants as well!
