Private Luxury Suite/Guest House surrounded by forest garden, yet pleasantly sun dappled. UNCA is 3 blocks away, Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway 15 minutes. Vaulted ceiling bedroom, fully stocked kitchen, walk-in & reach-in closets, washer/dryer, media room/2nd bedroom/sunroom, large bathroom, desk/work space and patio -- all with fast wifi.

You will have maps, city and neighborhood information such as our recommendations for great restaurants, terrific breweries, music venues, bike and kayak rentals and other local attractions and recreational opportunities. City of Asheville Permit on file and also in the photos of the Luxury Guest Suite on this page.

The Luxury Suite/Guest House is perfect for honeymooners and includes a vaulted ceiling bedroom, media room with flat screen internet Apple TV, extra large bathroom, walk-in closet, 2nd reach-in closet, kitchen with breakfast nook and separate study nook, an outdoor patio area and a washer/dryer. Heated floors in both the tiled bathroom and tiled kitchen--both areas have individually controlled floor thermostats. Additionally, the entire luxury suite has its own dedicated HVAC system for your comfort--that thermostat is in the hallway to the bedroom. A whole house water filter provides nearly total chlorine reduction and an on-demand hot water system supplies the bathroom and the kitchen.

The BEDROOM has a king size bed with new pillow-top mattress and boxspring. An amazingly large antique French armoire and antique English swivel mirrored marble dresser enhance ambiance and provide additional storage. Two luggage racks provide convenience on both sides of the bed as the sisal area rug gently massages your bare feet.

The MEDIA ROOM can double as a 2nd bedroom or can be used as a bedroom-adjacent retreat having two 6'2" (six-feet plus) bench beds for lounging, napping or sleeping -- these bench beds are the same dimensions as you would find in an RV. The bench beds feature memory foam, fitted sheets, blankets and plenty of pillows. This room overlooks the forest garden. The media offers Internet Apple TV with free Netflix, HBO Now and many other channels.

The BATHROOM features an extra large tub, glass shower with wall mounted shampoo and body wash dispenser, toilet, bidet, double sink vanity and lots of storage. Alongside a double window, the extra large tub offers delightful forest views. A remote controlled blind over the tub provides luxurious convenience to the bather(s).

The cherry wood WALK-IN CLOSET has lots of clothes hangers, shelving, clothes rods, drawers and shoe racks. Additionally, that closet also has a Graco Play 'n Go crib, 2 yoga mats and the Apple Airport wi-fi base station. The REACH-IN CLOSET has many of the same features, but is smaller.

The kitchen features a toaster-oven, microwave, hot plate to warm or cook food countertop, along with an electric water kettle. A small refrigerator is under the countertop. The metal kitchen sink offers a fixed or hand-held sprayer along with dish soap, a drainer and cloth as well as paper towels. A full complement of plates, bowls, flatware as well as pots, pans, cooking utensils and other cookware are to be found in the cherry wood cabinetry. Tumblers, mugs and cups are located in the cabinetry above the counter. Choice herbal, black and green teas along with ground regular coffee are also located in the cabinets.

You will find an updated Guest Information basket and binder on the antique oval table and chairs which are situated alongside a forest view window.

This laptop friendly space is opposite the breakfast nook. A desk and chair convenient to electrical wall outlet sits under a download alongside an east-facing window.

The patio is perfect for outdoor meals as the French wrought iron table with six matching chairs and shade protection provided by a matching black umbrella under the whispering pines. You will also find fast wifi here.

Fast wifi throughout. Dedicated HVAC; heated bathroom and kitchen tile floors; on-demand hot water; kitchen skylight; top-down/bottom-up shades.

You get the entire guest suite plus the patio to yourselves! There is space to park 2 cars in tandem. We use a self-check in keyless entry system so you can easily arrive and depart at your convenience since there are no keys to lose or return!

We are in and out quite a bit so even though we live adjacent, you may not see us or hear us. But please call or text if you have questions or need assistance with anything as we are happy to share our experience with Asheville -- our wonderful adopted hometown. We are here for you and want your stay to be a great experience.

You can bathe in luxury while soaking in the beauty of the forest garden right outside your window. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee/tea, coffee maker, electric kettle, refrigerator, flatware, dishes, pots, pans, microwave, toaster/oven and hot plate. The breakfast nook sits opposite the convenient desk/study area. Two well organized closets provide plenty of storage. The patio is perfect for outdoor meals at the French wrought iron table with 6 chairs under the whispering pines. Fast wifi throughout.

My wife and I recently moved to Asheville, North Carolina from Los Angeles, California. We love it here for so many reasons: the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore Estate and the charm of the southern Appalachian mountains. When you consider the natural beauty of this place, the friendly locals, the arts, music and food scene, you've got a winner! Plus we appreciate the plethora of local craft brewers and the emphasis on local, sustainable and organic food. We also participate in the many outdoor recreational opportunities available.

RAYMOND LEE purchased this guest house in 2016

Why RAYMOND LEE chose Jackson Park

Our home was built 100 years ago and sits on a little over an acre of land close to downtown Asheville. The craftsman style of the house reminds us of our neighborhood in California. The gardens have been landscaped by master gardeners so that the property feels very private. Large mature conifers shield us from our surroundings year round. The grounds are terraced with lawn alternating with deep flower beds that bloom in 3 seasons with a succession of flowers so that when one set of perennials blooms out , the next group blossoms.

5 minute walk to the University of North Carolina, Asheville campus. 30 minute walk into downtown along a Greenway that follows the course of Reed Creek almost all the way into downtown. Plenty of amenities along Merrimon Avenue like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Ingles, CVS, restaurants, churches, synagogues, bicycle shops, etc.

What makes this guest house unique

The Luxury guest suite was added 7 years ago and provides all the amenities modern living demands, e.g. heated tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, dedicated HVAC system throughout, filtered water throughout, vaulted ceilings, views of the garden and the distant mountains, double sink vanity, glass walled shower, extra large tub, bidet, plenty of customized cherry wood cabinetry for storage in all rooms. Dedicated washer and dryer, private patio with French wrought iron table and chairs. Couples, families and others love the special touches like the freshly cut flowers, the Pack n' Play and the yoga mats.

Here is a more detailed look at each living space...

My Wife and I stayed at this exceptional well supplied cottage. Private, very roomy and tucked away within a neighborhood in town. Very large bathroom with double sinks, Jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower. Large kitchen and closets and it was very convenient to have the washer and dryer. The TV/Sitting room looks over a small backyard/garden. The spacious bedroom has a very comfortable King bed and quiet sleeping. Although we were there in March I sat at the terrace planning our day. It has a convenient private drive. I would rate this property as very new. We did meet the Owner briefly and She was very pleasant. We have to come down again in the next month or so we will stay here if available.

Thanks for the wonderful stay! Dave & Shirl Leslie Superior, WI.

It Doesn't Get Better This!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful, luxury suite is an addition built on to an amazing historic arts and crafts style home just minutes from down town Asheville. No expense has been spared with the skylit and cozy kitchenette, huge walk in closet, roomy master bedroom with lofted ceiling and comfy king bed, sun/media room with huge windows, and the out of this world, spa-like bathroom, with it's large tub, heated floor and view. The view! Not only is the lot wooded and beautifully rustically landscaped, but the layers of mountains, including Mt. Pisgah are the outline! The neighborhood is within walking distance of UNC Asheville, with it's bike path and Arboretum trail, and several wonderful restaurants. Downtown Asheville and the Grove Park Inn are minutes away by car. We especially appreciated having our own parking spot, the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, and the privacy of the suite. So much better than any hotel!
