The studio, which is large and generally well-equipped, is in a great location, with glorious views.
We loved our time in the studio - the views from the studio and the garden are glorious, constantly changing and always lovely. The studio is clean, airy and spacious. We did miss a proper oven (as I love to cook the local produce the provided combi microwave and convention oven wasn't really enough for me) and my husband (who does the dishes) missed a dishwasher. However, everything else was great, the owners are delightful and couldn't be more helpful and the location really central for lots of exploring. There aren't nearby shops, so you do have to be a bit organised, but there are some excellent local markets and Perigueux is not far. We were there for 3 weeks and did a lot of cycling (we had our own bikes), exploring, walks and just sitting around admiring the view and reading.
Beautiful and charming retreat
Lovely place which has been restored to a very high standard with everything you need and great views of the countryside. Hosts Tracey and Jean-Francois are very friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous time exploring the area and this was a relaxing place to retreat to after a busy day. Highly recommended!
The studio was everything it had promised, and also everything we wanted. Thoughtful, hospitable and caring hosts were a bonus!
Surprisingly spacious studio, in a stunning location
We really enjoyed our five night stay in this super gite. It was comprehensively equipped with everything one would need for a holiday (including table tennis table, tv, dvd and a sound system)
We visited several interesting towns and enjoyed the peaceful countryside. The gite is at the top of a scenic valley which enjoys stunnung views. The owners are highly organised efficient and excellent hosts. We thought the gite was one of the best value we have used in quality and price.
Lovely very well equipped spacious cottage in a quiet and picturesque location.
We spent six nights in this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The friendly owner greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome. The cottage was clean and very well equipped with modern facilities.
The cottage is well located for walking the surrounding woods and hills and for excursions to interesting places. There are many attractive towns and villages nearby. We particularly enjoyed visiting the prehistoric caves near Les Eyzies-de-Tayac.
We thorougly recommend this property. It is excellent value for money.
Serenity to the max
Tracy and Jean Francois have the perfect place to recharge and enjoy Périgueux and so rounding areas. Highly recommended
In the heart of the Dordogne, the four Périgords are within easy reach. A visit would not be complete without taking in the vineyards around Bergerac, the valleys of the Isle, the Auvezère, the Vézère and of course the Dordogne river valley itself. In addition to the festivals and 'fêtes locales', the traditional farmers' markets are still very much part of the local lifestyle: an inexhaustible source of inspiration and at the very least, a feast for the eyes !
