We had a great time staying at the house. It was really well equipped and such a good living space and so many bedrooms and bathrooms. Good location, close to the town and some lovely nearby pubs. Would highly recommend this house!
The house is gorgeous and has everything you need for a weekend stay with friends. A great benefit of also having almost all the rooms with double beds, which is difficult to find when you’re searching for a big group. Overall, we had an amazing time and would stay again. The hosts even left a lovely gift basket full of essentials and goodies which was perfect! Thank you again
A great house for a large gathering with plenty of space downstairs and outside and lovely bedrooms. Everything is well appointed with a lot of thought given to how a stay might be enhanced eg blankets for a cool evening outside, herbs and spices, plenty of pots and pans, lovely shower gel, books and magazines to browse etc etc. Well kitted out for toddlers. Many thanks for the generous welcome pack.
Beautiful large property with various size rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms the others with bathrooms very close.
We were 12 friends celebrating a 50th birthday. This property was perfect for what we wanted, large enough to house us all, with a table to seat us all together for meals and cosy sofas for us all to sit around together to laugh and chat.
The kitchen is amply kitted out with everything we needed. And the luxury of the additional kitchen/laundry room and extra fridge meant that our drinks were not cluttering up the kitchen.
We would recommend to anyone looking for a comfy large house for time away with friends or family.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience this beautiful house.
The house was absolutely perfect for a group of 10 adults the night before my daughter's wedding. We found it extremely well presented and very well equipped for large groups. Thanks so much for the lovely welcome pack too. It was great to have so much space and to be able to comfortably sit everyone at the dining table. We were just sorry that we weren't staying longer!
Cocking Hill House is an ideal venue for a large gathering. We were in the area for a wedding so probably wouldn't have chosen to stay at this particular location. Saying that there are plenty of great walks and things to do; we had time to walk round the lake at Clumber Park and visit Sherwood Forest. The living area is huge and the two kitchens meant we had plenty of room for all the provisions we had brought with us. The two dogs slept in the kitchen/utility which could do with a doggy stair gate to stop nosey dogs trying to get upstairs. Plenty of room upstairs with two ensuite bedrooms and the other four bedrooms share two bathrooms. Downstairs there is a further loo. We didn't use the large garden as weather not great. We were greeted with a very nice Welcome Pack and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The house has a nice relaxed feel to it and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay.
Oh it was brilliant! Beautiful house and surrounds. Comfy beds. Had everything you could have needed! The only thing negative was that the temperature was hard to control on the showers; but not sure what they could do about that 🤷🏻♀️
Really felt like home after a short while. Fitted 8 adults & 3 infants comfortably. Large garden and a climbing frame would be great for older kids and our little ones had fun with adults on it. Firepit & marshmallow evenings were great fun in garden. Not spotless but felt homely. We had a fabulous 5 night family get together. Lots of local parks, Clumber Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Wheelgate Adventure Park were great hits. Also had a chef cook us dinner on last evening from Dine Indulge which was amazing
