Tenerife stay. Garden city

The studio apartment was very clean and tidy when I arrived. Its in a great position overlooking the pool area of the garden city complex. There are some very good bars and restauraunts just a 2 minute walk away, which for a solo traveler was excellent. I would stay in this studio again for sure and recomend it to others. Had a great stay.

Needs sprucing up

Check in was easy. Room is ok. Bathroom very tired. Fan is absolutely useless and provides a whisper of air. I found my bed comfortable but my wife didn't The room is very quiet though anduthe location is good.like hers.

Good resort

The resort is very well situated and well cared for by the management. The pool is well maintained and the lifeguards friendly and helpful. The resort bar serves good variety of food. Our studio apartment was on ground level and overlooked the pool. Great location. The tv showed British channels was was a boon. The apartment had everything that was needed but would benefit from upgrading crockery, cutlery and sheets. I would, however, not be deterred from returning to the apartment

The apartment was basic could do with an update no suitable chairs to sit on in room not enough wardrobe space but was not told no Wi-Fi pool bar wifi would not work at apartment no towels changed wouldn’t recommend it

Short stay

The apartment is in need of a great deal of tlc, doesn’t look as if it’s been decorated in a long time. Only one key for the outside door and it’s not on a key ring, could be easily lost. I know the listing says no Wi-Fi but surely that should be installed. There isn’t any hairdryer in the property. We won’t be returning to the property

Perfect

Perfect appartement, the only bad point was that we had a quite small bed, the springs in the bed could be heard and felt. Mabe it's only in the appartment number 2029, which we had. Garden city complex is In the middle of everything. Busstation to airport in 5 minutes walking. Restaurants and bars everywhere, mostly for people above 50 years old in november, on the strip Veronicas at 15 minutes walking, there were younger people. Simple appartement, don't expect luxery, but everything works and is nice. We rent a car for a week for 125 euro. Mascas and Teno mountain were very nice by car, Teide beautifull. Tip: if you want to go on top of Teide, ask permission online a week before you want to go. Anaga and the nearby and nice capital Santa Cruz were even great to visit. We liked Tenerife a lot. If we would visit Tenerife again! Tis appartement would be our first choice. The owner and the women who cleans and look after the appartement are very nice. They can tell you everyting about the appartement and Tenerife. Thanx for the noce stay Deanna!

The property was very basic . The bedding was threadbare and the bathroom needed a complete clean.

Although situated for all the amenities this property was very poor with no bath mat or towels although I would stay in the complex I wouldn't choose this property

Great location

The first time we have booked with a private owner and everything was so easy and don't know why we haven't done this before. The experience was excellent and this owner really easy to deal with. The apartment was ideal for us and had everything we needed (even British TV) not that we sat in and watched much TV. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun on our own balcony. This one of the best complexes I have stayed in as everyone friendly and it was so close to everything including the beach. Will definitely be booking with this owner again.

Another great stay

We have stayed here before with this owner - this time with extended family and booked a studio and a one bedroomed apartment. These apartments are ideal for us as it is so close to everything we could need for a holiday. We had a studio overlooking the main pool and it was great to sit on our balcony and watch our family in the pool. It was also an easy walk to the beach and the Siam Water Park (which the kids loved). The apartments are not luxury but clean and tidy and had everything we wanted including British TV for those nights we stayed in. The owner was very easy to deal with and provided easy to follow instructions. We have recommended to several friends and we will certainly be back again.

Wonderful stay

Stayed in a studio overlooking the main pool (which was heated). It was fantastic sitting on our own balcony watching people in the pool. The pool bar was really good and offered reasonably priced food and drinks. We also used the Winning Post on the complex and the Chinese Buffet. Garden City was also close to the sandy beach so it really was an ideal position as close to everything we could need. The weather was wonderful and the people so friendly on the complex. The apartment was suitable for self catering and had everything we needed including a kettle and toaster and British TV This owner was very easy to deal with and gave us detailed key instructions and local contact in case of any problems. We will cetainly be back

Fantastic stay

Second time we have been to Garden City and even better this time. The studio we had overlooked the main pool. It was fantastic to sit out on our own balcony looking at the pool. The studio had everything we could need and was clean and tidy. The TV got a great range of all the main UK channels. There was entertainment by the pool bar twice a week. The pool bar was very reasonably priced for food and drinks and there was plenty of choice of other place right outside the complex. We also enjoyed the Chinese Buffet on the corner of Garden City - which was so cheap! The guys at the Winnining Post and the food there was good as well The sea was just a short walk away but it was so comfy at Garden City we stayed most of the day there as only staying a week. A lovely heated pool and good company as everyone so friendly. We did go to the Siam Water Park for one day and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Will certainly be recommending to family and friends.

A Nice Studio

Firts time stopped with Deanna and it was a nice studio and well maintained. Only thing it lacks which is critical to anyone staying is ceiling fans or air conditioning.

Great apartments and lovely complex

This is the first time we have rented privately and would certainly do so again - much cheaper and a great experience. The owner was easy to deal with and the apartments were as stated. We had a family holiday and booked a one bedroomed apartment and a studio through this owner. The apartments were great - much better than expected for the price. Everything was clean and well maintained and both apartments had everything we could need. It was also great for the kids to have TV they could watch. It was lovel to sit out on the balcony with a glass or two. The complex was very friendly and while the main pool was busy the smaller pool at the rear of the complex was much quieter. Garden City was a good location as close to everything including Siam Water Park which the kids really enjoyed. I can certainly recommend this owner and the apartments.

Disgusting... please be aware.

People please be aware of staying in this property. It's cheap and in good location, but after seeing apartment you might consider to better stay under the bridge somewhere, than there, because it would be cleaner and more comfortable. Bed sheets was dirty with yellow stains and smelled like cigarette ends, beds by itself was so uncomfortable that it was impossible to sleep because of springs sticking out in your back. After long journey is nice to take a shower, in this apartment you can do it in cold water. It supposed to be warm at least for a while because of boiler ability to heat water, but unfortunately it's not. Rooms temperature during day or night is about the same and is about 30 degrees. Enjoy sleeping in sauna. You can't open windows during the night to get some breeze, because you don't want anyone to join you in your ''comfortable'' bed. Balcony doors isn't the safest thing as well, so don't leave your belongings in apartment while you are going for a walk. Overall I paid for this apartment for 6 nights and left after one without even looking back. Health and safety is more important than the money I paid. No need to add that money of course I am not hoping to get back, because I payed through PayPal and in the same day after reading all reviews about this place, I tried to cancel my booking, but owner wasn't interested in it. Possibly because no-one with full mind would stay there so she is trying to get every penny she can. So all I trying to say is, please think before you book it, because no-one wants holiday experience like this.

Lovely stay

Stayed in number 124 and I was a bit worried after reading one of the reviews. But nothing to worry about. The apartment was clean and tidy and well maintained. Yes, it is not luxury accommodation but for the money we were not expecting 5 star luxury. It was much better value then we expected and we cold not fault the apartment. The balcony overlooked the main pool and it was lovely to sit out with a glass or two. The entertainment at the pool bar was great too. The complex was well run and everyone friendly. There was a mini market on site but for most of our groceries we walked about 2 minutes to a large supermarket at San Eugenio shopping centre. The Sima Mall was also within in easy walk - as was the beach. We were definitely be back and would request this apartment again.

Great stay in lovely complex

Stayed in apartment 124 which overlooked the pool. A wonderful location as we could sit on the sunny balcony and look over the pool. Apartment was basic but clean and tidy and matress toppers on the beds. Since our last stay there was a new black leather sofa so we sat in some evenings to watch to TV (a range of British Television Channels unlike many places in Tenerife). I note a previous reviewer mentioned damage in the bath. The bath did have a small repair in it (looks as if someone had dropped something) but the repair was adequate and the bath was usable. We used the bath every day. This was our second stay in this complex staying in these apartments and we have recommended to family and friends.

studio 124

We booked this studio with Deanna after initially enquiring about one of her other properties which was fully booked. We arrived at the studio at dinner time, located the key in the key safe then walked in. Our first impressions were of a dark and dingey room but which was habitable. On opening the curtains the full extent of our horror was revealed, the place was disgusting. The kitchen was overun with ants, there were food and hairs on the cooker hob and crumbs on the work surfaces. The bath had mould around the sealant and some damage to it which had an attempted repair carried out which was basically a bodge up and made the bath unuseable, there was so much muck on the light fittings that it was hard to tell what colour the fittings were. The living area had stains on the walls and the decrepid metal beds were covered with stained bedding which was disgusting. On seeing all this my partner and myself made an immediate decision to look for something else as we thought the studio what we had paid good money for was a risk to our health and would have ruined our holiday. We walked the streets all afternoon, with my partner in tears, calling at different hotels to seek availability, we eventually found a hotel at the other side of las americas for 1 night which enabled us to use internet to seek accomodation for the rest of the week. Once accomodation had been found, i contacted Deanna to explain what had happened. Deanna blamed us for the situation saying we should have contacted her cleaner to put things right, yet surely things should have been right on our arrival. Deanne then went onto say we should have contacted her earlier so she could have re-let the studio to someone else, not once did Deanna exhibit any empathy for our situation and seemed more interested in making more money. On arrival back to the UK i tried to claim a refund through Paypal but was unsuccessful as my claim didn't meet the criteria, during this process, Deanna again blamed the whole thing on ourselves claiming we had found something better or cheaper which was totally false. The truth is we spent just under £900 on alternate accomodation which had major consequences on the rest of the holiday. I took numerous photos as evidence to back up our claim, not once has Deanna asked to see these, she seems more intent on not losing any money than genuine customer service. I have stayed in numerous forms of accomodation over the years and ive got to say this was the worst.

Great stay

Just back from another great stay. This time stayed in number 124 which overlooked the pool. Apartment was clean and tidy and overlooking the pool must be one of the best locations. Just seen another revie for the same apartment and we certainly did not have any problems and the bar was shut by midnight but it wasn't noisy before!. The apartments are not luxurious but the kitchen was relatively new, the beds were comfy and we had a flat screen TV. We have recommended to family and friends who have stayed and have been happy but it is not 5 star luxury - but neither is the price.
