A great place for upto 4 people to stay during a break in the beautiful town of Keswick, in the heart of the Northern Lake District. The apartment is newly refurbished and only a short walk through the park, along the river to Keswick town center. A quiet yet central location, a perfect base for walking holidays or for exploring the Lake District.
The apartment benefits from its own private access and enjoys Wifi throughout.
Lounge The lounge benefits from a lovely high ceiling and dual aspect windows that look out onto the garden. There is an L shaped leather sofa, a flat screen wall mounted television, and a couple of coffee tables. There is a gateleg dining table that seats 4.
Kitchen A lovely solid oak kitchen with granite work surfaces that opens out into the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, cookware and utensils, crockery and cutlery. Everything you need for your stay.
Bedroom 1 The bedroom has 1 double bed with a pine wardrobe with draws. There is a bedside table and lamp on each side of the bed along with a mirror. Bed linen is provided with 4 pillows. There is a blind at the window and on the French door.
Bedroom 2 The bedroom has an oak frame double bed, oak wardrobe and draws. There is a mirror and blinds at the window.
Bathroom A fully tiled bathroom with white bathroom suite including a bath and overhead shower. Toilet rolls are provided along with both hand and bath towels ( 1 of each per guest).
Garden The guests have full use of the private garden. There is an outside table with four chairs and a BBQ for your enjoyment.
Parking There is parking available for 1 car.

Awesome three week stay
We loved our stay in the Garden Flat. John is a wonderful, kind host. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with a good size refrigerator. We would highly recommend the Garden Flat.

Lovely property close to Keswick town centre. Clean and modern inside. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. We really liked the outdoor bbq facility and enclosed garden.

Great location
Nice little apartment less than 10 minutes walk through the lovely park to the centre of Keswick. My only quibbles were the towels were too small to cover ones modesty, and there really needs to be much darker, or preferably black out blinds/curtains in the bedroom with the door as it gets far too light far too early without them which was very detrimental to our sleep. That said the apartment was clean and well equipped, garden is a little sun trap with a BBQ. Only thing missing was a freezer - no ice for the G&T.

A short break to clear the Lockdown cobwebs
Had a short break with my son to get some foot miles in around Keswick - great location, parking is a big plus for Keswick and the property was exactly as described on the website. The town seems to be getting used to the new normal and all shops etc.. were welcoming and very careful.

A good situation in Keswick
The property has all you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and a nice place to relax. We enjoyed the short walk into Keswick through the park. It was good to have parking on site as parking can sometimes be a problem in Keswick. John was very responsive to a query we had and came immediately .

Great accommodation and location
Property as described although bathroom lacking a good shower and bath sealant in much need of replacement. Rest of property was great with comfy beds, sofa and well equipped kitchen. A coffee table would ease relaxing on the sofa with a cuppa.
Great location, beautiful walk in to town via park/river or via main road at night when park not lit.
The George Hotel great for gluten free food and wide range of non g/f menu and very reasonably priced.
Lingholm garden a must and an Alpaca trek truly fabulous.
A great few days helped by coming back to decent accommodation at the end of busy days.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are pleased that you had a great stay. We have a small table at one end of the sofa and a small, low gate leg table at the other end, which most guests find sufficient, however, we are always open to suggestions and will consider buying a coffee table. We have been very well booked throughout the year, having had several returning guests; great for business, but it’s not always easy to complete any maintenance tasks. We have fitted a thermostatic shower and will replace the silicone as soon as our booking situation allows.

Thoroughly enjoyable
This was a well positioned apartment, close to all amenities and nice walks. We were there 5 nights and never moved the car. It is well appointed with everything to make a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the outside space too. We would happily return.

Great location and great place.
The apartment is across the river from the heart of the city which makes access to the major roads easy. It’s an easy walk to downtown, great food, and grocery stores. The unit is on the back of the house which means it’s very quiet and has off street parking. The only negative for my family was the absence of a washer/dryer.

Beautifully presented apartment in an excellent location.
We loved the property; the decor and attention to detail inside is lovely and little thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge, tea bags and a delicious packet of biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated! The location is superb, a short walk through the park along the river into town was great and such easy access to many of the mountain walks we wanted to tick off our list, some straight from the property so need need to get in the car. The only reasons we haven't given 5 stars is because we (personally) would have found a microwave useful and there is no freezer or ice box. We had such amazing weather it would have been great to be able to have ice for cold drinks and ice cream for after our BBQs! It also would have been nice to be able to move the table and chairs onto where the lawn is to enjoy the views, particularly of Lattrigg, but as there is no hard-standing there we didn't want to cause damage to the lawn so you have to sit at the back of the house, which is not quite so nice. That said, being outside was the main thing and really we would have rated 4.5 if there was facility for this! We didn't meet the owners but all correspondence with them was great and although there is access to the other part of the house past the garden we didn't feel overlooked or that our privacy was compromised. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return if we decide to stay in Keswick again. Thanks again!

This luxurious apartment forms part of a large period property. It is perfectly located for the whole of the northern lake district and is within easy walking distance onto local fellside walks. Its quiet location is only a short riverside walk through the park leading to the town center where there are many bars, restaurants and shops.

The apartment has onsite/off road paking and a garden which is perfect for breakfasting al fresco whilst enjoying the beautiful bird song. The BBQ area has fine views, Lattrig to the North and Grisedale Pike to the South.
