Apartment 3 at Alum Chine Beach House

This is a luxury one-bedroom self-contained apartment with an open plan kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (52 sqm) on the first floor of the Alum Chine Beach House.

The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed.

This apartment runs from one side of the building to the other with an aspect onto a quiet residential road from the bedroom while the open plan lounge opens onto the chine.

The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in rain-style shower. Fresh towels and linen are provided and for stays longer than 7 days the towels will be replaced.

Pets are allowed although you must notify us in advance and there is £20 additional fee, per pet.
Foldaway Bed provided at a £15 additional fee
Alum Chine Beach House is a collection of 6 luxury apartments located moments from the Bournemouth Beach and its glorious 7 miles of Golden Sand. Each apartment is finished to a very high standard with high quality furnishings throughout, en-suite shower rooms with rain-head showers and kitchens including all the facilities to prepare anything for a light breakfast through to a full evening meal.

I called it the Alum Chine Beach House as it sums up how I feel about the place, it's super close to the beach, it has the feel of a big Victorian house and we try to make our guests feel relaxed and at home the moment they check in. Leticia is the Reservation Manager and will be your first point of contact throughout your stay. She has been at Alum Chine Beach House now for a while and knows the place inside out and is always more than happy to help with any questions or queries.

The properties are located in Westbourne, just to the west of Bournemouth, which is one of the most elegant and fashionable parts of Bournemouth with an urban village feel. It is definitely not your usual high-street; there is a vast selection of independent stores, cafes and restaurants and is truly a unique shopping experience. Of course the best attraction of the area is the gorgeous golden sands! Alum Chine beach is far quieter than the beaches closer to Bournemouth town centre although is equally as sandy and inviting

We loved the apartment it was so clean and welcoming and so close to the beach and very quiet. This is our second time of visiting and we will definitely be back next year. Only 1 thing we would have liked a freezer or freezer part in fridge for our cool blocks

We stayed for two nights on a short break to visit the area and to meet up with old friends. The accommodation was perfect. Immaculate, contemporary decor, light and bright. Super comfy bed and amazing shower. The location is excellent. Surprisingly quiet street. Walked to the beach along the beautiful Chine path. Nice shops and bars in Westbourne. We were also really happy that you are dog friendly as we had our wee pooch with us. It really was a perfect location for a lovely get away.

Perfect in every way

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in Apartment 3. The apartment was extremely spacious with the most stunning & luxurious decor. We had a rollaway bed for our young Daughter and she slept better here than she does at home! The apartment had everything we could have needed and we enjoyed some very relaxing nights on the comfy sofa reading our books (with a glass of wine). We will definitely be recommending Alum Chine Beach House to our family and friends and we can't wait to come back

Overall a pleasure stay

The apartment is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. There are 6 apartments and only 5 narrow parking spaces so you need to be lucky to park. We found some issues with DIY.The coffee table was damaged on the top and when we tried to move it to place an extra bed, leg fell off. The same with the dining table, the top was moving. The mirror in the bathroom was not working and the spotlights were very dark.Some kitchen utensils not clean. The shower temperature was very hot and hard to regulate

Hi, I'm Michael. Welcome to the Alum Chine Beach House, Bournemouth. I have many years of experience in the hotel industry so have an eye for detail and what guests expect from their accommodation experience.

I live in the building in the garden apartment so am often on hand to offer a warm welcome to out-of-town guests or offer advice on the best restaurants and fun things to do in the area if you should need some guidance. We are keen to respect your security and privacy and each apartment is self-contained with its door entry system. We also have CCTV throughout the building and surrounding the property, just to give you peace of mind, Alum Chine is a very safe area.
