The lodge resides amongst forest and gorgeous surrounding landscape with stunning views of Lough Owel, fresh water lake for swimming or fishing in own personal decking, landing area and the surrounding countryside. Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the peaceful surroundings

Quiet and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. It was clean, quiet and relaxing. Beautiful Ireland countryside and only 1 hour away from Dublin. They offered everything that you would need for accommodations and Jacinta (the host) was amazing. If we make it back to Ireland we'll definitely stay here again.

A Little piece of heaven!

Lake view lodge is set in beautiful surroundings, if you’re looking to get away from it all and indulge yourself in the serenity of the natural beauty of the place, then this is the place for you! The lodge has everything you could need. Somethings are a little tired perhaps but it’s most likely got quite a bit of traffic coming through it’s doors in the busy seasons so it’s not really surprising and to be honest once settled into the peace & tranquility of this place the little things don’t matter!

Ein familienfreundliches Haus, an einem abgelegenem Ort in der nähe eines Sees. Wer hier absteigt, hat absolute Privatsphäre. Trotzdem ist man schnell (15 min) in allen umliegenden Städte. Immer wieder gerne.

Excellent get away gem

Property manager was excellent with communication and there were no issues accessing the property. The only downfall for me was not being able to work from here due to lack of connectivity. Highly recommend using this retreat which is close to Mullingar and extremely close to Weirs!

Perfect getaway

From the minute we got there til we left we loved the property and the location. Set in a wonderful setting in west Meath with beautiful scenery. Very relaxing exactly what was needed. Nice and remote but only ten mins drive to mullingar. Will definitely be back.

Great unique place

Loved this little house. It was nice, quiet and clean. Def has its quirks but we were able to figure them out. Would be nice to have a house book explaining how to use things. Only has a half fridge so can only buy food for a couple of days. Property is beautiful. Well taken care of.

Idyllisch gelegene Unterkunft am Lough Owel

Die Unterkunft, die in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Haupthaus liegt, hat eigentlich Alles, was für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt wird. Bei Fragen steht die freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin immer zur Verfügung. Man muss jedoch aufpassen, denn bei der Präsentation wird die Einrichtung von zwei unterschiedlichen Häusern gezeigt. Das Bauernhaus z.B. hat keinen Kamin und keinen Treppenaufgang. Hier stand uns für 4 Personen nur ein Badezimmer zur Verfügung. Um den nächsten Pub zu erreichen, wird auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt. Das Internetangebot muss auf jeden Fall verbessert werden.

Excellent!

Although the location seemed quiet for us, it is perfect for families as it's gated and there is a pub approx. 50yards down the road. The cottage was perfect, very roomy, light and airy and perfect for wheelchair users! We were very well looked after by the site managers (sorry I can't remember you names). We would definitely go back.
