Atypical, unusual accommodation, in a cocooning spirit on 3 levels.
Emphasis was placed on authenticity, with thick stone walls, sand lime and natural ocher. The pellet stove brings warmth and light.
It is a popular place for couples looking for tranquility.

A quiet and relaxing stay: no neighbors, first road 500 meters away and a property surrounded by fields.
Parking spots for cars at your disposal, and secure shelters for motorbikes can also be found.
Nearby sporting and nature activities are available too.

We had a wonderful week in the charming Pigeonnier in this welcoming and beautiful environment.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and welcomed us warmly. The Pigeonnier is charming, clean and well equipped. The beds are outstanding. The terasses outside provided sun and shadow when needed, which we did since during our stay temperatures were very high. Ernest, the cat, welcomed us every morning. He kept us company when we sat outside. We could play pétanque and badminton on the terrain, having great fun. Thank you for a wonderful week. We certainly would like to return one day.

Le pigeonnier est superbe. Très propre et bien entretenu. Frais malgré la chaleur torride des 3 jours où j’étais à St Éloi. Les hôtes sont sympathiques et respectueux de notre intimité.

Le gîte est idéalement situé dans un écrin de verdure. Il est très agréable, confortable et beau. Les hôtes sont discrets, disponibles et charmants. Je vous recommande vivement cet endroit hors du temps.

Le gîte du pigeonnier est très beau, bien équipé et décoré et très confortable. Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par les propriétaires. Le petit-déjeuner proposé en supplément était copieux et délicieux.

Le gîte est très bien restauré et l'on se sent bien accueilli au sein de la propriété. Merci aux propriétaires pour les attentions et le soin apporté aux arrivants. Une prochaine visite en saison printanière sera idéale pour profiter des alentours à pied.

Agréable surprise, ressourçant, reposant, original, confortable.

Originalité et confort du gîte, environnement d'un calme absolu. Propriétaires présents tout en étant discrets, professionnels et compétents. Possibilités de beaucoup d'activités: marche, visites, et vélo ( je recommande vivement le canal du nivernais).

Un lieu propice à la rêverie !

Le Pigeonnier de Gondières est un gîte atypique par sa structure. Résider quelque temps dans un phare, une donjon, un arbre..., c'est un rêve d'enfant qui se réalise. Etre proches de la ville tout en profitant d'un environnement calme et harmonieux..., c'est un désir d'adultes qui est comblé. Prendre le petit déjeuner et observer en même temps les oiseaux à la recherche de leur nourriture..., c'est un plaisir simple mais si rare. Ce lieu est unique et nous en gardons un excellent souvenir.

Elisabeth tends to the plants and decorating, Patrick works in the gardens outside. They both welcome the guests when able to, on arrival and departure. Feel free to ask them about any suggestions for things to do around the area.
