Stayed for a long weekend with friends and family. Idyllic surroundings, beautiful rustic decor, bedrooms were warm, pool and jacuzzi were too cold already (likely due to colder than average weather). We were a bit short on kitchen supplies, but Silvia delivered us everything we needed upon request. Overall all of us were very happy with our stay and felt we got an authentic Italian experience. I would be happy to spend more time here.

Rented the villa to spend time with family and friends

Unfortunately we had a series of issues with this property, starting from the check in process. I was given the wifi password info by the agency that represents the house. We got in late at night due to a family emergency (the local manager knew). We got to the property and we could not connect to the wifi and none of us had any connection. We had to go close to town to connect. I tried calling the manager but she didn’t respond. We had to sit in the car till 3:30 AM so our daughter could finish an important contract for work (working remote with the US). Next morning manager informed me we were given the wrong password! We were also cold and did not know how to turn the heating on! I have never rented a property (and we have rented many, especially in Italy), without a welcome book with all the information/instructions. Simple solution. Other problems: dishwasher broken, oven would only get warm, one of the bathroom showers only had super hot water, pool and jacuzzi had to be cleaned by us prior to use. The manager came on the 3rd morning to wash all the dishes by hand. She was apologetic about the dishwasher. overall the place is lovely and spacious but it needs some work,?edpecisllynthe kitchen.

Parrano Countryside

Very nice villa to relax in the countryside. The town of Fabro is only a 15 minute ride to restaurants, train station(free parking) and other shops. We found the villa to be very spacious and relaxing. One item to note, there was seven cats (at the time of our stay) living outside the doors of the property. We were told to feed, some bring some cat food.

Prettig huis met goede sanitaire faciliteiten. Mooie kamers en genoeg privacy voor iedereen.

Pluspunten: zwembad, jacuzzi, kamers, terras, mooie ligging en omgeving, airco. Privacy. Minpunten: Geen tafel voor 16 personen op terras. Grotere supermarkt iets verder weg. Iets te weinig koelfaciliteit.

Our experience was everything we hoped for. A wonderful peaceful retreat yet close enough to Fabro to cover all needs and access to rail service for tourist trips throughout Italy without driving. When the children and grandchildren arrived our group of 16 were totally happy with the pool and location. Silvia was ready and willing to assist. A great hostess….

Wonderful family retreat

We selected this location as a peaceful, Umbria nature reserve and it did not disappoint. Located close enough to Fabro which has supermarkets, restaurants and everything you need as to basics made things easy. Plus Fabro has a train stop on the Rome to Florence connection which afforded travel to short tourist trips throughout Italy without driving. Half the time we were a small group relaxing peacefully with great food and wine. When the children arrived with their young ones the property handled a full load of 16 people and the children loved the pool. If you engage Casa Silvia with its strengths in mind it’s perfect.and Silvia was a wonderful host(ess)…

We had an amazing holiday with 10 friends at Casale Silvia! The area is very quiet away from the masses but we enjoyed this. The villa is private and you have beautiful views. The house has all the conforms you need, separate bathrooms for each room, dining areas, perfect pool beds! The weather was still good at the beginning of September. We had contact with Silvia during our stay and she helped us with many things: transportation, recommendation of restaurants, reservations. This was really nice! This service was great! Just one thing you should know; the area is so remote that you barely have phone service. There is WiFi but only in the living room and there is a landline phone available . But this makes it only more relaxing and gives you the chance to be unplugged!

We had an absolutely wonderful week in Villa Casale Silvia. The pool is fantastic for children, and the large terrace made for glorious evenings of eating and drinking. The location is perfect - walking distance to the beautiful hill town of Parrano which has basic amenities, but entirely private and with glorious views over the Umbrian countryside. The accommodation is spacious and characterful with plenty of room for a large group to both congregate and find their own space. Sylvia was an excellent host. Any issues were ironed out quickly, and she recommended and made a reservation for us at a superb local restaurant. Joanna

Planned as a couples retreat for 7 couples, we had a host of activities on ours. And yes we were able to do just so. The villa was beautiful and clean, just as the pictures show. We hired a car and were able to visit the neighboring villages. The jacuzzi was a hit right away to say the least. We will be recommending this villa to other friends and family.

The villa is completely surrounded by greenery; trees, shrubs, plants, what a pleasure, and a luxury to enjoy all that. In addition, we were allowed to use the jacuzzi. The architectural style of this villa with the large stone blocks exudes a certain warmth. The view is breathtakingly beautiful that I will enjoy it for a long time to come because of the many pictures that have been taken. Furthermore, it may be stated that the villa as a whole is well cared for. Our vacation in this villa was very different from our previous once elsewhere. It is certainly worth mentioning that a number of mineral springs are present if only to experience how it feels.

My adventurous nature has made me curious about Parrano, very spectacular and challenging. Visiting the castle created a nostalgic feeling. For our family it was a special house with all the trimmings; clean, spacious and modern. The setting sun offers a beautiful panorama from daylight to dusk. We returned full of energy to our home destination. Had a good time

Villa Casale Silvia is located in the beautiful town of Umbria. This d air-conditioned and sleeps14 people and has 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms. My Big Villa family was in total awe with these breathtaking relaxing views. A true peaceful serenity experience. From the dining room, a wooden staircase leads upstairs to a second kitchen on the first floor with direct access to the garden. This is the countryside at its best .....with a lovely big pool and hot tub.

We had a wonderful holiday and the house definitely was a large part of it. Sylvia, the manager, was very accomodating and prompt to reply to any queries and slight problems. We also used a very reliable private driver service while we were in Umbria that I totally recommend as very accomodating and punctual and reliable, the accomodation was beyond expectations
