Peaceful rural setting
If you want a peaceful rural vacation then this is the place for you. The villa is not something you will find in Marbella but it is ideal for the location. Great clean swimming pool and great rentals manager...thanks Mark for everything!
Excellent relaxing holiday
Excellent communication and we were met at the villa and shown around and a nice welcome pack was left for us. The villa is large and the gardens are huge. The pool was much needed as it was very hot. The air-con took control of that in the villa! The gardener came 3 times a week to clean the pool and tidy around the garden area. We had no issues during our stay which was a relief as we had read a one star review which we do not understand. Highly recommended.
We had a great time in this villa
Thank you Mark for everything.
We appreciated our sejour in the villa!
Recommended for persons needing to have a quite and relaxing place with the family. But a car is needed there!
Great Guests! Highly recommended and welcome back anytime. Thanks
Just what we wanted, private, peaceful & relaxing
We enjoyed a great week relaxing by the pool and spending time away from it all. We wanted peace and quiet and that is exactly what we got. Villa is not overlooked on any side, there are other properties around but you can't see any of them from the pool area so you feel very private and secluded. Garden is large and beautiful, in fact the whole pool area is lovely. Pool was easily big enough and well maintained.
Villa is itself is large, lots of space in bedrooms and main living areas. Three options for eating with large tables inside, outside and in the covered porch. All amenities were in good working order.
We were very well looked after by Mark. He met us on arrival (even though we were a bit early) explained everything about the villa including advice on shops etc. We had a couple of questions during the stay and he responded very quickly both times (literally under 5 mins).
Villa is within very easy reach of motorway (only a couple of miles) with large supermarket about 10 minutes drive. Great location if you want to tour around the region but car is essential. There are no facilities within walking distance.
Fantastic guests from day one. Highly recommended. Thank you!
The villa did not live up to the description or photos on the website.
The villa had not been cleaned properly and old, tired bedding and pillows that smelled Were left for us. The barbecue was unusable as it was covered in last seasons olive tree debris.
The temporary home of the neighbour sits directly outside the master bedroom window, and although the owner feels I should have just shut my eyes and gone to sleep rather than looking at the view and commenting on this, I feel it is important to know about these things before you travel and pay for a quality villa.
The owner is not happy with the full review that I sent him directly, and dismisses much of what I have commented on. He assured me that he arranging for bedding to be changed and some paintwork to be updated so hopefully that will be an improvement.
We had a disappointing stay here and an even more disappointing response to the problems experienced.
No doubt this review will also cause yet another counter argument.....the customer is not always right!
No need to get into a 'counter argument'. 4 & 5 stars before and after these guests says it all. If you want guests who's holiday is ruined by a one inch tear along the seam on the sunbed cushion, or by their own very late arrival (2am) then these are the guests for you. Rentals manager was always on hand but nothing was mentioned during the first week of their stay. New bedding etc was supplied during their stay even though no guest had had a problem before (we always try our best to keep guests happy). BBQ was indeed dirty as it is situated under an olive tree for shade which unfortunately sheds it's leaves and fruit daily. Regards the neighbour's property. It does not sit directly outside the bedroom window and does not impeed on the villa's privacy at all.
The local Puebla market is held every Friday morning (9.30 to 13.30) and is a must see. The indoor market in Marchena (10-15 mins drive) is open Mon-Sat and has a wide selection of fresh food. Feria de Puebla is held early September, you can also enjoy the Seville Feria in April/Easter. The house is 40 mins from Seville, 1 hour from Cordoba, 1.5 hours from Granada, and 1 hour 15 mins from Malaga and its beaches. Plenty to see and do, but also a lovely place to relax by the pool and enjoy the fantastic Andalusian weather.
