Grimy, dirty and unkempt
The place was not cleaned when we arrived....possibly a quick vacuum and mop. There were spider webs/ cob webs and dust in corners, chandeliers, on curtains, etc. The kitchen was disgusting. The floor was grimy and needed scrubbing and mopping. The refrigerator had not been cleaned at all! In addition, it was old looking and rusty on the outside. The microwave and kitchen appliances were grimy from oil and left on dirt and dust. There was mold on the bathroom (shower divider), the kids room curtains had mold also.
We asked about critters such as mice because there were openings in the kitchen. We got no response. There was a mouse.
The washing machine smelled of mildew and old appliance.
The garden had lots of cigarette buds and animal feces in it.
The bed linens were old and worn looking and very cheap and uncomfortable.
Pics were sent to the landlord and there wasn't a response to anything except the dangerous nail sticking out from the floor.
We ended up spending about £200 to buy somethings to clean properly and be comfortable for the 30 days we stayed.
Also no ironing board that I asked about with no response.
