Villa ioanes, a charming 1930s house located in Port Saint Louis du Rhône in the Camargue regional natural park. Completely restored, it consists of two comfortable rooms that can accommodate 4 people (plus a baby). An ideal place for holidays with family or friends to relax and unwind.

It is planted with a magnificent garden, a swimming pool with a fully retractable wooden cover, and a pool house. Covering an area of ​​200 m², it consists of two apartments. It is fully PRIVATIZED during your stay, you will occupy the ground floor apartment with an area of ​​90 m² on one level, quiet, it consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a parental bedroom (1 bed of 1x160), a second bedroom (2 beds of 90 cm) and a bathroom with a bathtub and two basins. Each room has an opening onto the garden and the swimming pool. It also has free private parking, free wifi, an outdoor shower, a ping-pong table, a barbecue.

We will be pleased to welcome you to introduce you to the villa, answer your questions, and give you the keys. We provide you with free sheets, towels, pool towels, and tea towels. Your bed will be made upon arrival.

Wunderbar erholsam, wir haben das tolle Haus sehr genossen. Besonders gut fanden wir den Außenbereich mit Außenküche, Dusche und Pool. Sehr gepflegte und saubere Anlage. Super nette Gastgeber. Jede Zeit wieder.

Tout simplement magnifique!

Un séjour de rêve ! La maison est spacieuse, impeccable et parfaitement équipée. Nous avons adoré passer nos journées au superbe piscine et dans le magnifique jardin – un vrai bonheur. L’endroit est très calme, tout en étant proche de Marseille, Montpellier, Arles et de la Camargue. Les propriétaires sont chaleureux, fiables et toujours disponibles. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute l’année prochaine !An amazing stay! The house is spacious, spotless, and perfectly equipped. We loved spending our days by the beautiful pool and in the lovely garden – pure relaxation. The location is wonderfully quiet, yet close to Marseille, Montpellier, Arles, and the Camargue. The hosts were warm, reliable, and always available. We’ll definitely be back next year!Ein absolut traumhafter Aufenthalt! Das Haus ist groß, makellos sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Wir haben die Tage am wunderschönen Pool und im Garten einfach geliebt. Die Lage ist herrlich ruhig, und doch erreicht man Marseille, Montpellier, Arles und die Camargue schnell. Wunderschöner Ort

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Haus sehr genossen. Der Garten ist traumhaft und sehr gepflegt. Toller Pool! Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet und grillen ist auch möglich. Es gibt einen Weber Gas Grill. Das Haus ist hochwertig ausgestattet und es ist herrlich ruhig. Die Aussendusche hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir haben sie oft benutzt. Sehr nette und herzliche Gastgeber. Merci

Un petit paradis pour se ressourcer

On a passé une superbe semaine reposante dans un petit coin de paradis à l’abri des regards. La piscine est magnifique, le pool house avec sa cuisine d’été super pratique, la douche chaude à l’extérieur un vrai bonheur (pas besoin d’utiliser la salle de bain) ! La maison est très joliment décorée, Séverine et Jean-Marc nous ont très bien accueillis et sont adorables ! Je recommande à 1000% très adapté à une famille avec deux enfants ! Séjour parfait 👍

Ein tolles Haus mit wunderschönem Garten; une très belle maison

Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in der Villa Ioanes verbracht. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich von den Vermietern empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und geschickt aufgeteilt. In allen Zimmern befinden sich Schnakengitter. Die Außenküche ist einfach nur toll, ebenso wie die Außendusche. Der Garten ist liebevoll gepflegt und traumhaft angelegt. Der Pool hat eine angenehme Größe. Super fanden wir auch die bequeme Sitzecke mit der Tischtennisplatte. Port Saint Louis du Rhone ist ein eher kleiner verschlafener Ort mit einem schönen Hafen etwas abseits der Touristenströme gelegen. Trotzdem findet man hier alles: Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Supermarché und Netto, eine Bäckerei befindet sich fußläufig zur Villa Ioanes. Der weitläufige wunderschöne Strand Napoleon liegt etwa 8 km entfernt, keine 10 min mit dem Auto entfernt. Auf dem Weg zum Strand bekommt man einen kleinen Eindruck vom riesigen Naturschutzgebiet der Camargue an dessen Rand sich Port Saint Louis befindet. Merci beaucoup Séverine et Jean Marc pour ces vacances inoubliables. Votre villa est très jolie et bien installée. Il ne manque rien: on a bien profité de la cuisine extérieur et la douche sous le grand palmier. Le jardin est magnifique est bien soigné. Le pool est très agréable. On a bien aimé. Dans seulement quelques minutes on accède à une plage très belle (Napoleon). La ville Port Saint Louis du Rhone n'est pas très grand mais un trouve tout ce qu' on a besoin: restaurants, supermarchés, boulangeries... Et en plus la camargue est une région impressionante aves les chevaux, les taureaux, les flamants.....on doit voir une fois dans sa vie.

Beautiful holiday home

My family and I spent a wonderful week here in August 2018. We were greeted with an extremely warm welcome from Jean Marc and Severine. They told us all about the house and the local area and gave us some excellent tips on how to spend our week. The house is beautiful, clean and fantastically well equipped. Our favourite thing of course was the private pool and outside kitchen. Plus the outside shower is highly recommended. We will definitely be thinking about coming back one day.

Très jolie maison

Très jolie maison, bien entretenue avec une piscine géniale. Propriétaires très sympas et accueillants, proposant diverses activités. Le seul regret, Port St-Louis était très peu animée, beaucoup de restaurants fermés et peu de choses à faire sur place. Par contre, à environ 1h de voiture, beaucoup d’activités intéressantes et ludiques à faire avec des enfants.

Nous vous remercions pour votre gentil commentaire. Nous accordons une grande importance pour la propreté de la villa et pour les extérieurs. Il est vrai que la piscine est très apprécié tant par sa superficie que par son système de filtration UV qui permet d'avoir une eau douce (dépourvue de chlore). Néanmoins, nous sommes étonnés de vos commentaires pour la ville de Port Saint Louis. Certes certains restaurants ne sont ouverts que le midi mais d’autres le sont le soir et plusieurs sont bien ouverts midi et soir. Notamment à Port Napoléon le restaurant « Les 3 Voiles » ouvert le midi et soir (sauf le dimanche soir). Il a également installé un espace jeux pour les enfants juste devant le restaurant et à proximité des bateaux. Deux ou trois restaurants sont certes fermés car sont présents tous les soirs de l’été sur le port de plaisance dans le cadre des Soirées du Port Côté Docks. (Restauration à ciel ouvert où vous déguster des spécialités du coin et des produits de la mer dans une ambiance festive et familiale. Pour les enfants, la ville propose diverses activités comme la possibilité de louer en famille dériveurs, optimists, laser-pico, planches à voiles, stand up paddle... Pratique du mini-golf sur les jardins de la Tour pour jouer en famille, visite de la Ferme pédagogique du Tadorne, balade à vélo sur des pistes cyclables sécurisées. Nous espérons avoir le plaisir de vous recevoir pour un prochain séjour

Nice and comfortable villa. Very beautiful garden and pool.

The house is very clean, well-maintained and extraordinary good equipped. We very much enjoyed the (additional) outside kitchen near the pool. Good privacy. Nice place to relax read, in particular under the lovely palm tree next to the swimming pool. Camargue nature quite close, only 2 min walk. Good starting point for excursions to provence cities or Camargue.

Fabuleux!!!!!

Nous recherchions un lieu calme pour nous reposer et nous l'avons trouvé ! De plus nous avons été particulièrement bien accueillis dans une villa dont l'aménagement et la propreté sont irréprochables ! Nous avons beaucoup profité des lieux, de la piscine et du pool house où nous avons pu prendre tous nos repas. Le petit plus il y a une douche extérieure ! Quel bonheur de se laver en plein air 😀🌞 Avons également découvert la magnifique plage Napoléon .... Nous ne pouvons que recommander la villa Ioanes et ses environs. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

Un havre de paix

L'accueil par les propriétaires est incroyablement chaleureux, parsemé de petites attentions et de bons conseils! La villa, située dans un quartier calme, est ultra confortable très bien équipée et d'une propreté irréprochable. Les extérieurs sont splendides et invitent à la détente et au loisir: belle piscine, terrasse ombragée, cuisine extérieure (hyper pratique, nous avons toujours préparé nos repas sur la terrasse), douche extérieure avec eau chaude (super agréable de se laver dehors, nous n'avons jamais utilisé la salle de bains!) table de ping pong, végétation abondante... Nous avons été charmés en tous points par cette Villa, qui vaut vraiment le détour. Les photos du site sont tout à fait fidèles à la réalité. Merci à nos hôtes pour ces vacances magiques!

We had a great time

Pardon, Je ne parl pas francais. But English. We (4 persons) had a very nice time in France. September still has warm and mild days in the Provence and in the Camargue. So for us Germans it was a prolongation of summer. From Port St Louis you can make nice trips to all these fantastic towns like Avignon, Arles, Marseilles, Aigues Mortes. We left some out to have them next time. Camargue itself is a ver y interesting nature reserve with pink flamingos, white horses and black bulls. We found a very nice place to do horseriding at the Domaine de Pallisades south of the Salins de Giraud. Even for beginners horseriding in paradise. There arte nice beaches as well. The only thing in general in the Camargue: be prepared for the Mosquitos. The home is very nice. Every day we used the big pool. The water is cleaned by UV-rays, so no Chlorine in your eyes. The shower outside is warm and gentle. The house has everything you need: a very nice kitchen with modern equipment like oven, dish washer and other nice helpers. Rooms and beds are fine as well. We found things just in the way as described. Port St. Louis has as well all you need, including big Supermarkets. A clear recommendation then is the market in Arles Saturday morning. Arles is about 25 min by car. We had fun, we were very satisfied, we will come back.

Because it means John in Greek and Villa ioanes… it's a story of John!
First of all, Jean, my grandfather, customs inspector at Port Saint Louis du Rhône who is at the origin of the house. Life will not allow him to enjoy its charms and tranquility. Then, his son, my father, Jean Pierre, a nature lover and driven by the desire to transmit, which convinced me, Jean-Marc, to rehabilitate the family home in a place of meeting, conviviality, and shared moments.
