When the sun’s out, it’s time for fun at the Lakeside Beach and Marina, just steps from the home. Find calm waters for swimming, sand volleyball, and a playground.
In the wintertime, after a day on some of the best slopes in the state, warm up in front of the fireplace.
Walk just minutes to the downtown corridor, where you can wine and dine at amazing restaurants and bars. Marriott Village has a movie theater, several art galleries, and plenty of shops. You’re just minutes from the California-Nevada state line and casinos.
Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the single-story home sits on the horse-drawn carriage route. Guests of all ages will love watching the horses parade down the street from their front-row seat on the porch.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
Gather in the living room to relive the day’s adventures or watch a movie on the 50” flat screen TV. When the cold wind is blowing, light up the fireplace and settle in on the modern futon or zero-gravity chair. Hopefully, you can leave work behind, but if you do need to catch up, the living room has a desk area.
Keep your food budget intact and cook some of your meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Sit down to home-cooked meals at the six-person dining table.
There’s sleeping space for eight between two bedrooms and the living room futon. Down-alternative bedding outfits the master bedroom’s queen bed, and there’s a 32” flat screen TV and cabinet full of board games.
In the guest bedroom, two queen beds have the same gray and white buffalo check down-alternative bedding to keep you comfy and allergy-free. Both bedrooms share the full bathroom with tub/shower combination and extras like a curling iron and hair dryer.
Guests also enjoy amenities like a gas grill and parking for one vehicle under the carport. Dine al fresco in the side yard at the six-person patio table, gathering around the propane fire pit for s’mores after the sun goes down.
You’re steps from the Lakeside Beach and Marina, where you can chill out swimming and sunbathing. If you’re up for an adrenaline high, rent a jet ski or ski boat from the marina or try your hand at parasailing. Feeling lucky? Try your chances on the slot machines and table games at the casinos on the Nevada side of the state line, just 10 mins away on foot. Heavenly Mountain Resort is one of the best ski resorts in the state and only a 12-min walk away. It has amazing skiing in the winter and zip-lining and gondola rides in the summer.
