Welcome to Le Petit Chalet, a cosy and authentic traditional semi-detached chalet, set in the beautiful Gryon–Villars-sur-Ollon region. Your fully self contained half of the chalet has its own entrance, kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces, offering the charm of a 1700s listed building combined with thoughtful modern comforts. As part of its original architecture, some ceilings are lower than modern standards, adding to the chalet’s character — taller guests may occasionally need to mind their head! The chalet is best suited
for a maximum of 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children, ensuring everyone has comfortable space during their stay.
The chalet features a fabulous private sauna, a sunny balcony and terrace with beautiful views, and a peaceful small, fenced garden perfect for relaxing in all seasons. Inside, the living and dining area is warm and inviting, centred around a fireplace. A complimentary starter basket of firewood is provided during the winter months, and additional wood can be purchased onsite.
The kitchen is well equipped including a stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a fridge/freezer, making it easy to enjoy meals at home.
Upstairs, the bedroom features a comfortable king sized bed, along with space for two additional children’s beds (a single fold out futon sofa and a single fold out mattress), making it ideal for couples or small families. The open plan bathroom with a washer, dryer and bathtub connects directly to the bedroom. Please note: due to the chalet’s historic architecture, the upstairs bathroom has a low ceiling, and the shower here is designed to be used seated. For guests who prefer a full standing shower, there is a second ensuite shower located downstairs next to the private sauna.
The chalet also offers high speed WiFi and a small working desk, making it suitable for remote work or longer stays.
A welcoming pet basket is there for your best 4 legged
friend.
Other things to note
• To help keep our village peaceful, we kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 pm.
• Please remove ski boots before entering the chalet.
• Dogs are welcome (maximum one). We kindly ask that they stay in the living areas rather than the bedroom.
• Tourist Tax (Taxe de Séjour): already collects the canton wide tourist tax at booking, so there’s nothing to pay on arrival. If you’d like extra local benefits and discounts for the Gryon, Villars-Sur-Ollon and Les Diablerets resorts, you can purchase the Carte Bienvenue at the Maison du Tourisme in Barboleuse for a small additional fee.
