This ground floor apartment has undergone a complete refurbishment to a high standard throughout. It features one double bedroom and the second bedroom has a single bed with the option of a second single pull out bed.

The apartment comes with onsite parking for one car. The property is also pet friendly!

We love the location just behind the city wall. Very central to Micklegate, but quiet at night.

Great central location. The hot water system needs looking at. Only works on the boost and not on the timer, so no hot water on arrival. Bathroom drain smell and no sink plug on arrival. Otherwise everything great, good selection of crockery and glasses, clean and comfortable beds ( although blind in small bedroom does not block out the outdoor lights that are on all night). We did not have hot water for first 12 hours and boiled the kettle to rinse ourselves in the shower. We phoned management, which advised to heat it with the immersion/ boost button. Also advised of the missing sink plug and bad drain smell. Generally had a great comfortable stay after this.

The roar of the white paint, the smell of the passers-by.

On entering for the first time, the overwhelming impression was the smell of paint. The whole place had been painted white all over including all of the woodwork. Unfortunately a strong smelling gloss had been used. A water based low odour paint would have been much more agreeable. Within two days I developed a bad cold which I couldn’t shake off. With the time of year that could have been coincidental of course. Ventilating the flat was compromised by the design of the windows which included floor to ceiling glass doors which couldn’t be left open in a ground floor flat. A triumph of design over function. An additional tilt and turn window would have helped. The shower was easy to use but of the overhead type. Not my favourite. It wasn’t obvious where my rubbish should go. But now for the good bits. The heating was very simple to use. The cooker likewise. I liked the washing machine, the dishwasher and the microwave. Three big ticks. The kitchen was very well supplied with crockery, utensils and pans etc. Good supply of towels and bedding. Handy for shopping at Waitrose if you can afford it.

Nice apartment in great location

Very nice apartment, clean, comfortable and well appointed within easy walk of York town centre. Knocking off 2 stars on comfort as 1-shower has no hand rail, fine for me but an access issue for my elderly mother 2-it would be nice if there was somewhere in the bathroom to leave your toiletries 3-allocated parking bay would have been a nightmare if all bays are full (would have had to reverse out of the car park with the exit keypad on the wrong side of the car as no room to turn the car), luckily during my stay the car park was empty so wasn’t a problem for us.

A great base in York

This is the second time we've stayed in this building but the first time in this apartment. It is in a great location for exploring the city and we love the proximity to the wall. The apartment is well equipped, well maintained and just a lovely place to stay. We also really like that you get a proper parking space rather than a permit too.

Lovely York Stay

Perfect little flat for our family, easy location to walk into town, and the hamper left for us by Stays York was a very pleasant surprise - thank you! Spotless when we arrived and check in process extremely easy, lots of towels provided and everything we needed within the flat.

Clean, newly refurbished flat near city centre, 1 double and 1 single room

Recently refurbished, clean, quiet flat close to city centre. Second bedroom was smaller than depicted on the website, with the pull out bed erected there was only half a metre space between the 2 beds which were against each wall so really not big enough to be a twin bedroom, ok for smaller kids perhaps but a bit tight for my 2 teens! Ideal as a single bedroom however. Flat was well equipped with iron, ironing board, hairdryer and all kitchen utensils required. Towels, sheets etc. all good quality, new and clean. Kitchen immaculately clean and new, likewise the bathroom which had a good, powerful shower and constant supply of hot water. Sofa comfortable and large enough for family of 4. The only thing missing was a clothes dryer. Stays York were very responsive and helpful. We had limited need to contact them since all instructions, payment etc. clear and efficient. I have marked down for value for money since the flat was smaller than expected. We however had a lovely stay in York. Thank you.
