Modern, beach apartment with views of the Pyrenees

Twenty minutes from Perpignan, Canet-Sud is at the southern end of Canet Plage, a typical, vibrant, and relaxed holiday resort. Built in 2005. The apartment has 1 double bedroom, a shower room, separate toilet, open plan lounge, kitchen / dining area leading onto the balcony. It has uninterrupted views of the Pyrenees and direct access onto a huge beach. The building has its own private parking, gardens and a large pool for residents only . Situated as part of the complex belonging to the Spa Hotel Les Flamants Roses. This is a family friendly area which comes alive in summer as campers and holiday makers pour into Canet. If you are looking for an easy, fun, chilled holiday, safe for your children this is an ideal place. The apartment is great for couples or for parents with 2 children. I have filled it with lovely things including nice crockery, glass ware, linen and accessories. I regularly redecorate and keep everything looking smart. I have a Nespresso machine, TV, Apple TV, Alexa for music, air conditioning, washing machine. Hot water is always available. It is my little home which I love for others to enjoy too. There is loads to see and do in the area. Spain is only 30 miutes away and it is very feasible to take the train down to Barcelona for lunch (90 mins on the TGV). Perpignan is a great little city to explore and of course the Pyrenees are on the door step. And if you don't want to do any of that just hang out on the beach, hire bikes, take a boat trip to the beautiful Collioure. Canet is a very easy and fun holiday place.

Perfect place to stay by the beach in Canet en Roussillon

Apartment was great from start to finish. Lots of communication and help from the owner before and during our stay. Place is very secure with fob entry to the building and the pool area. Apartment is on first floor with a lift. Inside we found the layout really well suited to the four of us. Our two boys shared the sofa bed (which was very big and comfortable) and we had the main bedroom. Main room and bedroom were both air conditioned. We only needed it at night though. The terrace was great, faced the sunset which was great to watch over the mountains at night. Kitchen was also really well equipped. More like your own home than a holiday place. We cooked for ourselves for most of the holiday because of that (saved a bundle on eating out!) The apartment is literally two minutes walk from the beach and there was plenty of places within walking distance. It was also about 50m from the first / last stop on the No3 bus route which took you all the way into Perpignan. Finally the pool was brilliant. It was open from 0900 to 2100 at night. Never seen that in France before! Loads of loungers and the pool itself and toilet was very clean. Overall this was a brilliant place to base our family for the week.

Déçus très déçus

Les seuls avantages de cet appartement sont sa proximité de la plage et la piscine sinon nous avons été extrêmement déçus. Nous n’avons pas été accueilli par le propriétaire, les clés nous ont été envoyés par la poste avec des frais de douane pour les récupérer… A notre arrivée, le lit était fait et la salle d’eau propre MAIS le reste de l’appartement était très très SALE avec les excréments des précédents locataires encore présents…La réponse du propriétaire, il faut tirer la chasse d’eau…Ewa est venue faire le ménage pendant 2 heures. Tous les soirs, le camping en face fait beaucoup beaucoup de bruit de 19h jusqu’à minuit. Si vous souhaitez vous reposer ou passer une soirée sur le balcon tranquillement passez votre chemin. Comme le lave-vaisselle présent dans le descriptif mais absent de la location, les climatiseurs ne sont pas fonctionnels. La réponse d’Andrew ce n’est pas de sa faute mais utilisez les ventilateurs et laissez les volets fermés! En conclusion, première fois que je dois porter une réclamation auprès du service client abritel. Nous sommes très déçus et ne recommandons pas cet appartement.

Tout d’abord ce n’est pas un hôtel, c’est mon chez moi en France . Je le loue pendant l'été depuis 18ans . Et en 18 ans cette location a été ma pire expérience d'incompréhension. J’imagine que la personne pensait venir dans un hôtel et ce n’etait pas ça. Je n’ai pas de lave-vaisselle. Je l’ai retiré il ya 2 ans mais j’ai oublié de le retirer du site VRBO c’est mon erreur. La clim est un nouveau système installé dans le bâtiment en 2022. Le système fonctionne bien et il n’a mal fonctionné que momentanément. Je ne pense pas que pour cette personne mon appartement ait été le bon choix et j'espère qu'à l'avenir j'aurai plus d'échanges avec des locataires potentiels pour leur donner toutes les informations importantes pour eux. Svp regardez les autres avis.

Séjour très agréable. L'appartement est bien placé avec vue sur la montagne

L'accès à la plage depuis la résidence et à la piscine privée sont un plus. Nous avons apprécié la place de parking. Dans le logement le lave vaisselle était absent contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans l'annonce. Nous avions un téléviseur mais accès à aucune chaine française, manquait le mode d'emploi. Un peu de documentation touristique serait nécessaire pour faciliter la visite des lieux et monuments.

Thank you Gilles for your feedback. I have updated VRBO. My dishwasher broke last year and I removed it. We have french TV via Apple TV. I am sorry this is confusing and i will provide better instructions.. Canet has a fabulous Tourist Information office in the centre. It is well worth a visit because they will give you up to date information. From experience I have found that i can collect lots of tourist information but it soon changes and clutters the apartment. The best option is Google! I hope you had a nice stay. I love my little apartment and the wonderful Canet Plage.

Sehr netter Gastgeber, Strandlage, eigener Parkplatz

Der Gastgeber Andrew ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und schickt jede Menge nützliche Informationen und erkundigt sich auch während des Aufenthalts, ob alles OK ist. TOP! Die Lage direkt am Strand, ohne eine Straße zuüberqueren und mit dem eigenen, sauberen Pool (nur für Anwohner, mit Gratis-Liegen, Dusche und Toilette) ist sehr schön, wobei die teils laute Musik und Animation bis ca. Mitternacht vom gegenüber liegenden Campingplatz (hinter dem Haus, wohl nur Juli/Aug) uns auf dem Balkon schon gestört hat. Wem das nichts ausmacht und eh lange im Ort unterwegs ist, der findet ein schönes Apartment mit eigenem Parkplatz (Parken nur für Anwohner) vor. Ein Fahrradkeller ist auch vorhanden. Persönliche, liebevolle Ausstattung, lediglich die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig (Putzfrau Ewa hatte wohl einen sehr schlechten Tag und sollte daran arbeiten). Trotzdem alles zusammen noch 4 Sternchen!

Thank you Gabriele for your fair comments. Since we have arrived the campsite has been quiet. The Marie has placed restrictions on it. Personally I am missing the sounds of summer which we love to hear coming from the campsite. Ewa was upset to hear her feedback and since then has worked hard to make sure it is not repeated. We welcome you and your two little dogs back if you wish to come again.

I bought the place in 2005. It was quite an ambitious thing for me to do at 35 but I instantly fell in love with Canet and went about creating my own little holiday home in France. Since then I have made up any excuse to visit and I have never tired of simply chilling in my happy place. As you can see I have a canine best friend. Tommy just loves his trips to France.

I'm very busy at home in the UK spending most of my working week building gardens. I also have an old house which commands attention. I feel clever in France and free from stress. My apartment is compact and bijoux and has everything I need in a small space. The balcony takes no time to clean and instead of gardening I can sit and drink rose and look at the view.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I have never tired of the view. The pool in the residents garden is perfect and never too busy. The connection to the spa hotel is a huge benefit and the magnificent beach stretching for miles is a dream
