Chalet rustique au bord du lac

Mise à jour: nous avons récemment terminé le remodelage de la cuisine et de la salle de bain. Certaines photos sont en hausse. Aura de nouvelles photos dès que nous nettoyons.

Un chalet au bord du lac pittoresque et calme situé à 2 miles sur un chemin de terre privé, idéal pour les balades à pied ou à vélo. Cottage est sur le côté est du lac, près de Aurora, et plusieurs établissements vinicoles et restaurants.

La propriété a plus de 200 pieds de front de mer, un petit quai, et se trouve sur une partie plus isolée du lac Cayuga. Sur la côte est donc il y a des couchers de soleil incroyables. Le chalet a une grande chambre de style camp avec un lit double et deux lits simples. Cet appartement comprend un salon / salle à manger, une cuisine entièrement équipée et une salle de bains avec douche. L'extérieur dispose d'un grand porche couvert enveloppant avec beaucoup de places assises et une vue imprenable. Il y a aussi une terrasse et un espace barbecue. Remarque: Il n'y a pas de télévision ni d'internet. Si vous cherchez un endroit tranquille pour vous évader et vous détendre, c'est comme ça !!!

Peaceful lakeside stay

Enjoyed the peaceful beachfront cottage. Just right for a quiet getaway. The host was very good about letting us know what to expect and gave us some great ideas for area eateries. Would go back again!

This was the perfect place for our young family. The kids loved playing at lake level and canoeing and fishing was great. Brad gave awesome suggestions for things to do and the offerings of the area. Super hospitable!

We enjoyed the lakefront house and beach area. The house is perfect for enjoying the beauty of the lake, the kayaks were a fun way to see the lakeside community. Brad was helpful on information about the house amenities and suggestions for exploring the area and wine country.

We had a great time unplugging at the lake. Brad was super helpful with ideas of things to do and places to grab things we may have forgotten. It is so quiet there, minus the waves on the rocky beach. We loved howmany outside areas there are to use- there is always shade or sun somewhere! The kitchen had everything we needed, and was easy to use because of the map they left! We’d definitely stay here again!

Quiet and Beautiful

This lakefront property was perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation. Small but well appointed. Based on our need to cook and sit by the lake it was great- wonderful kitchen and great location.

A little piece of paradise

My sister, mother & I just completed a wonderful 3 nights at Brad’s cottage. We fell in love with the location, well-appointed spaces, great porch & deck. The views were so relaxing & scenic! Sleeping arrangements worked out fine & both kitchen & bath had everything we needed. Due to a slight mixup on my part, we arrived early & Brad was still on site. He was so kind & gracious. The whole vibe of the cottage is kick back & relax. So we did ;-) Thank you Brad for sharing your awesome place. And you were right- the breakfast at the Dugan Restaurant was amazing!!

Perfect escape

I think if you are clear about what you want, this could be perfect for you. This is not a luxury cottage, close to lots of shopping, and fancy dining. This cottage is directly on the lake, surrounded by a couple miles of other lake cottages. Yet no one bothered me. I knew I wanted to unplug, so no internet and no television was perfect for me. I wanted peace and quiet. The neighbors gave a friendly wave and then left me alone, again, exactly what I wanted. If I had wanted to be more social, I could have just gone for a walk, where many people were enjoying chats. And there are plenty of wineries and places to visit, some close, some 45 minutes or so away. But I knew what I wanted. I rested, I watched an amazing thunderstorm and I read. If I had brought the kids, they would have loved the lake and would have been in it everyday. I really enjoyed sitting out on the deck enjoying the view. Brad had many options for cooking, multiple grills and lots of outdoor space to entertain. The kitchen and living room have been updated and were great spaces. I brought plenty of food and left a couple drinks for the next people.

Secluded

Brad was so personable and great on the details and plenty of stocked items . To write the following things trouble me because Brad was So Great. Friday evening Brad even reached out to let us know how to turn the heat on because he knew the temps were going to drop. My number one issue … I’ve never arrived at a rental that was so filthy. Surfaces were not clean. Coffee pot caked with old coffee . Anything you pulled from the drawers had to be washed first. Floors so dirty . In great need of being swept and scrubbed , covered in dog hair. First five minutes of our arrival the overwhelming smell was sour dish sponges . Later that night when my niece went to bed there were shorts and underwear on the floor around her bed. The second smell was found today which was a dead mouse and millipede . I appreciated being able to travel with my senior dog but got concerned when I saw the mouse. I started wondering if there was poison left out that I wasn’t aware of. The place itself if all concerns didn’t exist is a wonderful location with a very pleasant neighborhood. .Brad has it decorated so well and the outside says come , relax and enjoy.

I’m so sorry this happened to you Daria. I have been using the same person to clean the place for a long time now and they have always done a wonderful job. We both feel very bad about this situation and we will be making some changes to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We now have a checklist from start to finish, and also a checklist of supplies that need to be stocked up and changed out. Again my deepest apologies for this. Brad

Relaxing week at the lake

The lake house was great! Unlike most of the other properties around it, this property has a large shoreline. Lots of space for families to play and a great spot for campfires by the lake. The house itself was clean, well furnished, and well stocked with essentials. Large deck on the back and side of the house has tons of room for hanging out and watching the lake. We're already discussing when we can go back!

Peaceful lakeside living

Nice getaway on the beautiful Cayuga lake. Area is quiet and very peaceful with excellent access to the lake. Property feels very safe. Excellent fishing opportunities. House is clean and kitchen well stocked with spices, oils, etc. Grilling station is awesome, you have option of charcoal grill, smoker, or propane grill. Nice quiet low speed road with friendly neighbors. I look forward to coming back.

Very relaxing and great amenities.

It was just my husband and I so it was very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed the property, the grills and fire pit. The weather helped. It was outstanding. We used the canoe in the moonlight and the kayaks. Neighbors were friendly too. Thank you!

nice get-away

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake! Property is private and the covered porch has such a beautiful view, we ate all our meals out there. Long Point State Park is an easy bike ride from the house, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks and the canoe on the lake. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet get-away.

Can't wait to come back!

Brad was very helpful answering any questions we had and advising us about things to do in the area. He also provided us with a bunch of water, which was great as it was one less thing we had to worry about packing. None of us wanted to leave and looking forward to when we can return.

We loved our stay here. Location was beautiful, enjoyed swimming in the lake and watching the sunsets over the water. Great place for a peaceful weekend getaway and has nearby wineries and breweries too!
