Lovely cottage, idea base for walking in the Lakes. We stayed in February, with snow on the ground. The view of Blencathra is stunning and the heating in the cottage made us feel very cosy.
Lovely little cottage, nestled in peace and quiet, its our 3rd stay and we enjoy coming here, the hosts are lovely, and there's plenty to do with a short drive.
Very clean inside and welcoming cottage. Lovely mountain few from the main cottage window and beautiful surrounding area.A possible suggestion though is to have a car port outside the cottage as our car got covered in bird poo during our 3 night stay due to where the parking facility is for the cottage.About 15 minutes drive away from Keswick which is very handy too. Would highly recommend The Kingfisher in Keswick if you like fish and chips! Delicious and very reasonably priced!
Lovely little cottage for our 4 nights stay, good heating and kitchen was well equipped (not that we did much cooking) and a good little selection of games and puzzles. Perfect spot, felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but only 20 mins from Keswick. Best thing was the view!
The cottage is situated with outstanding views of the mountain’s & countryside & is very peaceful. The cottage was clean throughout & dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid were provided. Some of the property seemed a little tired egs: doors & door locks . The front door lock was a challenge to open as it does need replacing & some of the internal doors don’t close properly.Having said that a new kitchen looks like it was recently installed and had a good choice of cutlery, plates etc.The mattress could be replaced as there is a distinct roll together. The property is detached & shares an entrance with another property. However the property is very private.Overall we enjoyed our stay & with a few tweaks could be amazing.
We had a lovely time staying in the cottage and enjoyed exploring the local area. It was our 1st trip to the lake district and we would definitely return to the area, it's such a beautiful place.

Can’t fault the property or the location. Overall our stay was peaceful and relaxed. Ideal spot to base yourself for the Lake District. Dog friendly and access to a large field at the rear.
We had a lovely 4 night stay, cottage is in a lovely spot, very quiet but within easy reach of places to visit etc. Has everything needed for a ‘home from home’ stay :-)
The cottage was just perfect for me and my dog as a base in the eastern Lakes. The views of Blencathra from the sitting room & garden were magnificent. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and we thorough enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
The cabin is small but more than enough for 2 people. Never felt like it was a small property. Was very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful views.
