Kick off

Tucked Away was the kickoff of our Scottish vacation. It was perfect! Clean, modern, great location. My family loved it! Description online was spot on. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the amenities for self catering & place was spacious enough for the 4 of us. Recommendations for restaurants & activities were also great. Thank you to Thomas for quick communication with checking in. Everything was great! Highly recommend!

Great couple of nights in Anstruther

Spent a couple of nights between Christmas and New Year at this property. It’s a very cozy and comfortable property which is extremely well kitted out with everything you could need for a great stay. The location is fantastic being less than a minute walk to Shore Street with a great selection of places to eat and shop - yet being up a pedestrian side alley meant the property was quiet. We have spent many breaks/ vacations in Anstruther and this proved to be one of the best and most relaxed due to location and features of the property.. All communications with the owner were easy with quick responses and a high degree of flexibility. Would definitely recommend this property.

Third stay at this property. First two were excellent, exactly why we chose to return. The location remains the property's biggest strengths – easy to find, ideally placed.We discovered that the baby cot was broken, the host responded promptly and arranged a replacement, which was appreciated.Unfortunately, a number of issues affected our overall experience. There were some positive aspects to this stay. The bathroom was very clean and modern, the shower head needs replaced, as water sprays everywhere except over the person using it.The kitchen has only four chairs so a party of six could not all sit together for meals.The most significant issue, was the sofa bed. When opened and sat upon, it collapsed in the centre. We reported this and they were already aware of the fault. Unfortunately, no solution as a result, someone had to sleep on the floor. Also the area underneath was very dirty and grubby. This was disappointing raising concerns about the overall standard of cleaning and maintenance.Given the lack of a usable sofa bed and the discomfort this caused, we ultimately decided to cut our already short family break even shorter and leave early rather than have someone sleep on the floor for a second night. A refund was discussed and agreed in principle, but unfortunately this never materialised.However, this visit was disappointing due to the cleanliness and sofa bed issues, it is honest and balanced but fell well short of our expectations.

Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a very relaxing restful time at Tucked Away in Ansthuther. The house was very clean, quiet , and well appointed. The area is not to be missed. The village has a lot to offer and being directly the Fife Coastal Path makes it an excellent spot to explore in a non-hectic location.
