Expedia handed off this reservation to a company called vrbo. Vrbo/the hotel did not book us a room and the hotel was full when we arrived. Hotel gave us a list of nearby hotels and I booked a room with one, by chance my family had a safe place to stay in down town Cancun as it was low season. I spoke with Vrbo when I returned to Canada and they told me I can arrange a refund with the hotel myself and told me I should have confirmed the hotel myself. I am not pleased with this experience to say the least.
